The other in the video was used in a movie, 9-1/2 Weeks, just an introduction into Joe Cocker, I like th e sultry feel to the music. This song came out in 1986 in time for the movie. He is another from the 1969 Woodstock Festival, if you never met anyone who was at Woodstock, I was there.

Yes it’s that “it’s always sunshine” originally done by BIll Withers in 1971….it’s been covered a lot( most recently by this Polish guitar prodigy Marcin… who plays all the song parts to his songs on one accoustic at once ( including the vocal lines). The kids a bad ass.

Love Joe Cocker and this is from the cult classic film 9 1/2 Weeks. The entire soundtrack is fire.

I just found your channel and I'm digging the vibe and binge watching. This song conjures up a memory that makes me laugh now, but back then, not so much.
My husband and I were together for 37 years and married for 31 before he passed away in August of 2022. But back on our 10th wedding anniversary I wanted to do something special. I had been devoting a lot of time, which was absolutely necessary, to my final year of law school. Basically, he'd been acting as a single dad. We had a 3 year old daughter. So I planned a special night which was going to end with a sexy dance to this song. It played out much differently in my head than it did in reality. I ended up in the emergency room with a broken foot after I tried to do a sexy twirl, lost my balance and slammed my foot against this iron contraption that housed our fireplace tools. We laughed about that for years!

One thing you'll notice in all of Joe Cocker's performances is that he is very animated. He just feels the music all the way to his core--like he's possessed by the holy spirit of song & he just goes with it. But his whole body is usually constantly moving & facial expressions will change throughout.
