Miami is my hometown and this brings back memories of 2004-2006 when I was a Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus-Downtown student and would take the metrorail (old budd model trains) from Earlington Heights Station to Government Center and transfer to the metromover to go to classes or all the way south usually to University station to go to buy my architecture design class school supplies🙂👍🏾. The good ole innocent days lol
@@R262SubwayCar1 that extension to hard rock stadium, assuming you're referring to that time frame stated in the article that was released last year, hasn't been set in stone. Any politic can yap about a project, but if nobody is lobbying for it, that timeline and costs jump. Ask sf about it's caltriain DTX or now "the portal".
No offense to these new trains because they look very nice, but MDT neglected their Budd UTVs. What makes it worse is those were some of the last American-made trains in service (All the Siemens, Alstom, etc. plants in the US don’t count because all those companies are foreign-based, and their trains use at least some foreign parts)
In fairness, those cars would've likely been up for replacement by now, as there's only so many parts available for older trains, among other things...
Wow that propulsion system is insane

Makes me so angry that this system hasn't seriously expanded like it was promised to be.
That will happen in 2027
@@R262SubwayCar1who told you that?

Miami Metrorial is just like the Baltimore Metro!!
Except it’s more modern and cleaner
I always take metrorail whenever I visit Miami.

There are still the 3200 series trains operating in Chicago that won’t be replaced until 2030
If and when American companies want to build transit rail cars, then they will, right? If it works for their business plan….
_Nice_
_Thx_
Plenty of flat spots on these trains it seems.
Faaan 😃
