I've worked a lot on this "building instinct" (habits), so I'm really interested in what you have to say in this video. When you are there like a defender they start missing. That shows it's not habit and they're distracted by you. Not finishing = BAD. Okay. I like working on elements and then putting them together. But, where it falls down is when they come back tomorrow and can't do it. Yep, that's bad. I've found that really learning isn't seeing or doing, but doing so much you forget about what you're doing and yet you keep doing it. That's habit.
i know im late to this video but this almost applies directly to me. i have the skills down and in my memory so much that I am called up to demonstrate what the coach is explaining to others. but when I comes to game time I struggle to apply those skills and drills to the way I perform in game.
Great breakdown in how to implement moves that you practice. Definitely feel like there's things I can do in situational drills but never use in live games
can't get any open gyms or anyone to play with. Just gonna groove the shit outta it till it becomes an inevitable part of my game, paired with a crap ton of film analysis and note taking. I'll let y'all know how it goes
@@Lionheart463 exactly, some coaches will start you just because you bring energy on D, others only to shoot corner 3s. I think it’s best to focus on a few things and master those. Not every team needs a Micheal Jordan, but most teams need a Dennis Rodman
LEX SAKURAGI Donovan Mitchell carries that team. He couldn’t carry them after Jamal got rhythm. The nuggets had better role players and more talent. He did the most he could.
Hello, I feel I have had lots of experience with basketball in general. Your videos are some of the best , insightful, detailed and realistic. I have an 11 yr. Old, he's a lefty and is a lights out shooter however he's not the quickest but not the slowest either. I've been thinking that drills that can help with shiftyness, 1st step and being crafty could help him. Any thoughts on how to follow your program? We live in LA Thanks you
Give you teammates shit for not talking. Especially if it's important like calling out a screen, make life living hell for that teammate until they change.
Hey coach. Thx for the vid as always. U got a ball handling creativity workout vid and a ball handling shiftiness workout vid. Which one do u think I should do more often? (In other words, which is more important?)
He’s telling you. You have to do live action and focus on that part. Strictly focus on using it as a shield. Practice is what helps you. Sadly It’s no magic trick to just activate it lol
Is it possible to like not knowing how to do this move like you havent actually done this move but you saw people do it but your body just suddenly moved on its own and do that
This is why you need to play 1v1 and 21/24 against weaker opponents sometimes: to deliberately use and polish new moves and techniques in preparation for strongest opponents and full game-speed
Let me know if you’ve dealt with this problem...
This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much coach Coleman 🙏
Always. But it was more of a mental thing with me idk.
Can you breakdown bubble Donovan Mitchell plz🙏🏽
It was a big problem I had to learn abt and deal with this past season

It sucks bro , I work hard in training but when I play my game it’s hard to apply it so I just play to my natural state which isn’t good
Love the content of your videos bro
You should do one we’re they’re working on a shooting move like a step back or something
I need a coach like you idol

@@lexsakuragi4184 they shouldn't have even been up 3-1. The nuggets are a way better team
There’s a guy named “Vision Driven Basketball” and he made a video of Donovan’s game yesterday. Search it up on the Tube and you’ll find it.
every workout has the purpose of putting all of the workouts together for a single purpose.
Who else thinks this channel is EXTREMELY underrated?
that background beat goes OFF! daym

Not too many trainers in my city only like 2 that I know of right now. I haven’t been consistent with training or practicing lately
Hey coach Coleman can you do a workout routine for upper body?
Great video!
Great vid!
Can you do a video on communion, I’m a great defender, but it’s weird when I’m the only on talking on D.
Do u mean communication
I have the same problem, I am the only one that talking on D
Give you teammates shit for not talking. Especially if it's important like calling out a screen, make life living hell for that teammate until they change.
yeah, you’re probably right....
They're called teammates. If they don't work with u on defense might as well not call it a team sport😂
fine do this when I go to the court to work
This helped out a lot. But what if there's no one to play live with?
would love to train with you man
Bro Jamal Murray or donavan Mitchell playoff breakdown. They both have crazy deep bags
What if you can’t do step 3? I ain’t got any friends to hoop with me.
Hey coach. Thx for the vid as always. U got a ball handling creativity workout vid and a ball handling shiftiness workout vid. Which one do u think I should do more often? (In other words, which is more important?)
how can I do the last 2 steps if I'm alone
How about basketball IQ? Can I train basketball IQ with the same method?
Point guard breakdown please
Try to do demar derozan offensive workout please
Keep trying. Probably get blocked a few times. Finally get it. Never get blocked again
COVID has been hard to practise, there are no open gym and it’s snowing out. Idk how I can practise
yo how can i activate my left hand as a shield when driving? I know how to but when i play live i seem to forget how to use it lol

Would work react to an audio? I mean, if the audio says 1, I do something, if says 2 I do other thing, if says 3 Another and that way.
Would it work?
How many makes u usually do on these drillls
Do you have a set n rep for bulding the skill?
It’s going to be so different depending on the player and what they’re working on
Can someone explain step 3 I don’t understand when he said react thank you
React to the defense and what they are giving you. Think on the fly of what move will work best.

It would be nice to play ball again. Sigh.
How do I work in step 3 react if Im alone??
Do the counters without defense. Its not that hard to imagine a defender
Is that pat baldwin being trained?

GOD bless
Wtf is DiVincenzo doing training this guys (😂)
how can I do this without a partner?
Honestly, you can’t. But find one! There’s someone out there that will work out with you.
