- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 21 พ.ย. 2024
- Tool-assisted speedrun (TAS) of Galaga Arrangement Arcade (1995) in 10:39.40 (in game timer) (2 Players) from Namco Classics Collection Vol. 1
Notes:
-To activate the in-game timer, on the Galaga Arrangement title screen, the button sequence is Left, Right, Left, Right, Button 1, Button 2, Button 1, Button 2.
-At Stage 6, I switch to Yellow Fighter for the two players because it can shoot 4 bullets at the same time, it will be very useful for the next stages.
-BUG: At the end of bonus stage 5 (1:45), 10 (3:59) and 15 (6:25) player 2 is supposed to get 10,000 extra points but it is player 1 that gets it !!!
P1 - 14000+2900=16900+10000+10000=36900
P2 - 14350+3100=17450+10000=27450

And thus the galaxy was saved by some very heroic lines of code
There is something euphoric and so nostalgic about this game's music honestly
Jeez, those pilots really took the phrase "leave no one alive" to heart
My late dad and I used to play this together all the time on the Namco Collection for Xbox when I was a kid so seeing a TAS of the co-op really takes me back. Well done!
Didn't know Galaga had a simultaneous coop. I like it.
One of the best Galaga games ever made!
That run was so satisfying. Well done!
No way, a TAS for Arrangements? You seem to be pretty neat.
This was definitely a satisfying run. Especially with the 2 player. I have an idea for an arcade TAS, Pac-Man arrangement but instead of completing the game as fast as possible, doing a high score run.
Probably one of my favorite Namco Arrangements growing up. Every time I boot up Namco Museum, this is my go-to.
Impeccable accuracy!
This is some insane coordination, there’s a few points in the vid where I’m like “well now y’all are just showing off”
The basic idea if the TAS is to show off what is possible in a game, but hard (or not possible) to do in real life.
@@Prog61 so what exactly were you using? Like I know your using a turbo for the guns but was that it?
Read the definition of a TAS here: th-cam.com/users/Prog61about
My setup look like this: th-cam.com/users/Prog61community
@@Prog61 wow I didn’t know it went that deep, how long did it take you to make this?
For this one I think it took about 15 hours of work (about 2-3 hours a day for a week).
This TAS should be displayed at an art museum
I always wanted to see this version of Galaga! Galaga Arrangement looks so epic!
You won the game! Congratulations 🎉!
hi
@@jjlota24 hi.
You guys are incredible!
i didnt know tas had a brother whos just as skilled
Beautiful TAS
That's a new record and awesome Speedrun!
Namco put so much emphasis on the background scrolling, scaling and rotating (which at this point was not new at all) that it becomes seriously distracting.
But being a quarter-muncher, maybe that was the goal.
Dude. That was Godlike.
Wow, that was amazing!
13:57: Final Boss
14:25: All Clear and Ending
I love galaga and game play
15:46: Name Entry
The sounds are sᴏ 𝕮𝖚𝖗𝖘𝖊𝖉
15:36: Game Over
That was pretty quicken run with AI speed runner
I forgot that this had a time limit 😮
great
Xevious Arrangement is next
I've been hoping for a TAS of this game, thank you! Will you do galaga 88?
Eventually yes.
didnt even know this game existed
It was also on Namco Museum for the PlayStation 2, the GameCube, and the Xbox.
As a Galaga pro
Me: Damn this is cool and amazing!
Also Me: How the f### does he program any of this?
Crazy how this version of galaga didn’t come to the switch and other modern consoles.
But it got ported to Namco Museum for PS2, GameCube, and Xbox.
Ok I didn’t know this game had mode 7 effects and I think from the videos I watched for this game might’ve been a emulator issue cuz I did noticed the background just randomly teleport the coordinates or something
I forgot how cool this version was. where can I even play this these days?
This was such a beautiful TAS.
Do you plan to do the other Arrangement games (Pac-Man, Dig Dug, etc)?
Possibly, they are in my list yes.
@@Prog61 Nice!
But seriously, what's next?
I don't have a plan. This week I want to finish a 180% + Galaga TAS.
On top of my list: Major Havoc, Blasteroids, Space Duel, Blaster, Asteroid Deluxe.
Half done TAS: Pleiads, Crossbow, Robotron, Bloxeed.
TAS I started: Super Zaxxon, Narc, Revolution X, Point Blank 2 All levels, Tempest.
Games that I want to do other levels: Pole Position 2, Buggy Boy, Outrun.
And others: Defender, Stargate, Super Monaco GP, Scramble, Galaga 88, OutRunners, Rad Mobile, Millipede, Qix, Gravitar.
And some I cannot TAS now because of a problem in MAME: APB, Super Sprint.
I have 705 games in my Favorites section in MAME, I want to TAS all of them 😀😀
@@Prog61 Whoooooooo! You've got a lot on your plate there son!
But I am looking forward to Blasteroids and Revolution X. See you then!
And this week I'm finishing Road Blasters.😀
Pro:
please, say me how count a time bonus in this game
Why does this version have a splatterhouse vibe to it?
How the hell am I late to this?
You should do Dig Dug Arrangement
did you use soft ware to do this or a turbo controller
very good TAS, but why the hit-miss ratio is 99.7% and 99.6% ?, I believe that I didn't see missed shots
I was surprise too. There may be some place where I shoot enemies on the top of the screen and I missed one, it would be hard to pinpoint I think.
@@Prog61 The missed shots were after beating Galaspark. You just fired a few too many shots once he was defeated. There could be others too, but it's super hard to keep track.
@@nemesis041 Also at 7:55 and 10:08
I think some enemies also escaped during some of the earlier stages, too.
Is there any reason you choose the ship upgrade you did?
With this upgrade you can have 4 bullets on screen at the same time instead of 2. I think this is the best upgrade for a TAS to shoot as quickly as possible.
How did you add the timer to the game?
To activate the in-game timer, on the Galaga Arrangement title screen, the button sequence is Left, Right, Left, Right, Button 1, Button 2, Button 1, Button 2.
@@Prog61 Thanks a bunch! Do you know if this works for all of the arrangement games?
As far as I know it only works in Galaga Arrangement.
Older version of MAME is out of dated, anymore!
Did this ever get a home version?
Not that I know of.
It's in Namco Museum for GameCube
@Jenna Sloan Thanks, I did not do my research well. From the Wikipedia page on 'Namco Classic Collection Vol. 1': "Galaga Arrangement was compiled into the 2001 Xbox, PlayStation 2 and GameCube game Namco Museum"
@@jennasloan396 Bandai-Namco really needs to re-release the Arrangement games, it's like they hate money.
Além de o game ser muito fraco e do tempo da karochinha o cara não tem coragem de postar essa bosta sem graça 👎👎👎👎👎👎
Okay, how about you do it
