Galaga Assault Arcade

The game is played with an 8 way joystick and one single button for shooting. Galaga Assault has two modes: Redemption Mode (default) and Amusement Mode(the one in the video).
This mode is a simply updated version of Galaga for their arcades and it plays the same but i much more forgiving difficulty. The main mode of this game is the tickets redemption one and and it shows.
It plays just like the old school Galaga that players remember, with wave after wave of enemies to destroy. You need to beat 70 of them to finaly kill the mothership and beat the game, the challenge waves also returns.
New additions are the sharp HD graphics, remix techno soundtrack, the occasional Smart Bomb which if shot clears the screen of all opponents, a chain combo scoring system and every 10 wave you face down against the mothership boss for big points.
Up to 12 ships can be piloted at once, which can cover the entire battlefield at once. Both modes will display a QR code at the end of each game. This allows players to share their best scores on Facebook or Twitter. The game also has a leaderboard with 10 slots and space for up to 7 letters for name input.

Galaga Assault is a deliberately-retro sci-fi shmup developed and released by Raw Thrills (in conjunction with Bandai Namco) for arcades on January 6, 2016. The cabinet features a massive 42” LCD Screen with 1080p High Definition resolution, RGB full colour rotating LED lights surrounding all 4 sides of the monitor and RGB lighted T-molding down the exterior perimeter of the cabinet, as well as a large Galaga themed marquee and attractive side art.

A question: why when i try to play the game allows to me only to play a stage and After mothership defeated It restart from the beginning?

@@enzoscaglia461Cause you are playing the game in Redemption Mode. Hold the Test Button to enter the menu, then go to Payout Adjustments Menu and finaly turn Arcade Amusement Mode on. Exit the Test menu and enjoy the game!

They have this at a place near me with axe throwing, cosmic bowling, vr, and a pretty nice sized arcade setup. I've been waiting to get the chance to try it, so thank you for showing me what I can expect.

This is so fantastically amazing as someone who grew up with playing galaga this would've blown my mind as a kid if I ever came across this out in the wild but it's so cool and even now as I'm typing this comment and watching the video I'm impressed and very amazed by how wonderful this version of galaga is the upbeat tencho music playing in the background definitely would get just about anyone pumped up to play this it reminds me of Pac-Man championship edition
I take it that this is one of those ticket redemption games ?
And if it actually is one of those tpes of games then you are super skilled at playing it

so to get this mode you have to change it in the settings to "amusement mode only".. im happy cause i always wanted to listen to the other songs from this version!!! thanks!!!

excuse me but i put bezel png in game folder but in game,also if i check in parrot settings bezel option, it show with bezels decentrated respèect to game that instead appears in small size..where i wrong?

That's what it's working for some people including me ""Download a new TP, install it somewhere else and update it until it's up to date and then you will have the SDL2.dll, copy that file in the Galaga Assault root folder""
