I’m just glad we finally got figures/merchandise that don’t make the characters look like they’re on steroids. Even as a kid, that always annoyed me and I appreciated the Akibaranger Power Ranger Spoof pointing it out. I think that’s the main reason why I preferred getting the Megazords/Mechas.
I'm gonna say this now. The lightning collection sucks compare to the legacy figures. The lightning one had arm posture that can't push all the way down that legacy figures can
Huh, that might explain why I only got the Megazords when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure I only got SPD and Operation Overdrive figures, even though Dino Thunder was my introduction into Power Rangers. I have yet to get anything from the Lightning Collection, but I'm planning on getting the Dino Thunder figures.
@@raphaelsorel6907 I don't mind the articulation I mind that how the arms can't push all the way down. The ones that looked ok with a decent arm posture is the shadow ranger or the mmpr white ranger or the manga defender
@@leonardolim8976 Well, at least you gotta admit the proportions on the lightning collection is better. Seriously, even as a kid, I was off put by the muscular physiques of the toys.
I actually wouldn't mind more Megazord figures like the one Hasbro did for the Dino Megazord. It's the closest thing to retrofire in terms of articulation but can also transform.
The lightning collection solved a lot of issues that were keeping me from buying the Bandai figures. The 6inch scale works with other lines of figures. The boy proportions are not exaggerated. I also love the variety of seasons that are released. I love SPD and MMPR. So I am happy I already have the 5 MMPR, and at least 3 SPD already. My only problem with the line is the lack of paint apps. They are starting to decrease in the recent releases. The thing that makes me annoyed is when a color of part is missing paint that is the same color as another part of the figure. It would have used the same color so I don't see how not coloring it would save money.
I'm just after the MMPR Rangers in the Lightning style, and so far, I have MMPR Blue and Yellow, but I am hoping for a non-Fighting Spirit Green Ranger if they can justify such a release, but with the two I've got, they're good, but of course, a bit stiff when they're out of the box to where I feel like I might damage them accident, which is not the feeling I want to be having when I'm trying to pose them. Still, they're meant for posing, so with enough care, you can get them how you want, though I have issues with doing the helmets in their hands/under arms pose still. As for who I'd want, it'd be nice to have other members of Lost Galaxy, along with the first figures for the teams yet to get a Lightning release, so Turbo, Lightspeed Rescue, Wild Force, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury, RPM, Samurai, Mega Force, and Ninja Steel. Then again, I am that person who hopes for Hasbro getting permission from Toei to expand to the pre-Zyuranger Sentai teams, since I'd love to own DynaRed (Dynaman), Red One (Bioman), and the Liveman team, but it's very unlikely.
I love the Lightning Collection! Is it perfect? No. But it is by far the best Power Rangers action figure line ever released! (Aside from S.H. Figuarts) I love the anthology releases and have been relatively lucky with QA and paint apps for my figures. I own every Lightning Collection figure and plan to continue collecting for as long as they release them. My favorite figure of the line is weirdly Beast Morphers Gold. I say "weirdly" because I like Beast Morphers and I like Nate the Gold Ranger. But neither are my favorite. But the figure is just so amazing. The paint and detail is awesome!
I love the figures but I wish paint jobs were consistently better and more detailed. I recently purchased the Dino Thunder Blue Ranger and only realized after watching a review of the Dino Thunder Red Ranger that Blue didn’t have the white paint on the back of his hands like Red did even though both (and Yellow when she’s made) need it. Hasbro neglects paint application to save money which often devalues the figure to me. The Dino Thunder Red Ranger’s Tyranno Staff lacks a lot of paint that would make it look good, without it, it looks pretty cheap. And that’s not even mentioning the White Ranger helmet fiasco. Also for a $20 figure I’d expect better paint application and often find myself not buying a figure even when presented with 3 copies in a store because none of them have a good paint application or could have their pieces swapped to make a figure with good application. This goes for other lines like Marvel Legends as well. Tie these things into hard to find figures or odd release windows for me and I’m skeptical to get into the series. You almost have to hunt the figure down as soon as it’s released otherwise you’ll never see it again. This is another problem Marvel Legends suffers from. I’m also extremely particular so I hate online exclusives. I want to see the figure in person and be able to pick the best one. Online exclusives make me worrisome of getting a poorly painted figure with no chance of a replacement/fix. Now that I’ve bought the Blue Dino Thunder Ranger I’m tempted to complete the Dino Thunder series but the difficulty of finding the figures and finding them with good paint applications makes me unsure of whether or not I’ll do it.
I've never bought a Power Rangers toy before the Lightning Collection came out. And now I own up to 20 figures and started an animation TH-cam channel using the LC figures.....so...I guess I really like them :-D
Hasbro has done right with Power Rangers and the Lightning Collection as a whole. A few minor errors but they actually try and rectify them. My one wish as of now; they release all the power weapons and they form the power blaster!!
CJhawk Nest Ahh, TJ....the pizza-obsessed, masochistic, Megazord-wrecking leader. Yeah....been waiting for him too. But we’ll likely get another Tommy version before TJ. (Might be part of the first larger vehicle set w/Lightning Cruiser). I just want the same full weapon treatment. And hopefully, for the combiner team weapons, we get something like the original MOTU sets in the 80s. Man, I’ve wanted to see that in figure lines for ages.
I've got 22 Lightning figures, including the SDCC Jasons and I'm quite pleased with the line. Wave 6 and Wave 7 sound *really lazy* though, so I have a bad feeling the best of the line has come and gone. Perhaps there isn't a decent-sized collectors market for PR because the new waves sound like major cost-cutting choices. 😕
Hasbro knows what they're doing. They release a wave or two of every line every year that's kinda ho hum and lazy and then follow it up with something incredible, often the best figures of that year. What's wild about PRLC is that Power Rangers are more or less carbon copies of each other. Even on different teams, the male and female bodies are more or less the same. They just need to retool the helmet, gloves, boots and belts. I think that's why Hasbro is a perfect company to make them and why we've gotten so many, so quickly like this. And, of course, there's also Covid-19 to consider and how that affected their plans overall of the year. It may have been a necessity for them to scale down for a few waves due to unforeseen circumstances. Whatever Wave 8 and 9 end up being, I'd imagine we'll get a pretty solid wave after the currently leaked/announced ones. Plus with the monsters being shown, I think we're in for some awesome figures in the future.

@@Hulkitout not my problem if you don't have standards. Neca pumping out figs at the same price point with twice the amount of detail and sculpt and you guys drool and pay for this McDonalds shit
@@braveng7909 the least they can expect is at least getting a figure thats worth 20 dollars. Neca pumps out figures with twice the paint and detail yet Hasbro cant put out one figure without crazy QC issues. The reason likes of Hasbro can get away with such substandard job is cause you lot just accept it 😂. Best of luck with them Hasbro zords 🤮
@@Hulkitout you need perspective.Handle a few imports and get an idea what real quality means. Then you will understand what I'm saying is nothing but the truth
