Hats off to the Fort Worth dealership. You would have thought a local dealership would have stepped up Fort Worth put them to shame. After all he is a student at an Austin school. I know they have Chevy dealerships in Austin, Georgetown etc.

@Lore 353 The only thing I will slightly disagree with you on is the "like any other mom would." I really wish that was the case but some of us weren't fortunate enough to have a mom like that.
That being said, I'm glad the kid is alright and that he is lucky enough to have a good mom.

Yeah no doubt some people are just blessed, my brother's been walking to work over 4 miles each way for 6 years never missed a day and can't get a car because of his monthly expenses and medical issues, we had gotten him a used car but the head gasket blew six months after he got it that's his kind of luck, hell, he would be happy with the guys old truck it looks like it drove just fine to me. We've been trying to find him something cheap but everybody tries to rip him off. Some people just have that kind of luck on top of it he got a $15,000 check and his GoFundMe has got about $30,000 on it so far so yeah good for him definitely blessed.
@@badmonkey2222 tell him to get a 2000 Toyota car maybe a Camry or Corolla v4 I bought one for $1,200 and already put 20,000 miles on it with no issues

But I shouldn't go up to him, that would make me "that guy" if I did that. Jerry: "Yeah Geroge, you don't wanna be that guy...." Two days later. George storms into Jerry's apartment: "I saw him again, went up to him and shook his hand and said "you're the best tornado boy."" You know what he did Jerry? He looked me dead in the eye and called me "that guy" and walked off. THAT GUY JERRY! That...... GUY!!!!!
The rest of the episode goes on to show Georges trials and tribulations of trying to get acceptance from Tornado Boy, and for him to retract his "That guy" comment.

What a blessing and miracle the kid made it through alive and this restored some feelings of goodness in people that do good for others. Kudos to Ford and Chevrolet and those that reached out to the teen kid and his family.
There is still good in this world. Riley is a very lucky young man not getting hurt.

this is a great story! Ive been in the process of buying a new truck and always drove fords but the other day I test drove a silverado for the first time and loved it and the price is much better than the newer fords but ive been on this fence. Knowing how wishy washy fords customer service has beeen the last decade just seeing this has made my mind up. I am buying the Chevy! You guys paying it forward just gives me a good feeling and the sales guys where I went for awesome and made it simple without being pushy so all good things chevy! god bless

I live in the area where this happened, it was truly a miracle that not only he survived, but the hundreds that were effected. It was no surprise to me when Ft Worth, my childhood home, made such a generous donation. Ft Worthians are like that, & it’ll always be part of me 💖
