This last chapter leaves a bitter sweet taste in the mount but this ending is SUCH A HAPPY one. They got so much more than they ever could hope for. They got TIME, they had PEACE and Hermione could choose what to do next. She asked - what do we do now?And Draco smiling answered - whatever you want, for as long as you want to. And he always wanted to save her, and she him. But they saved each other which was never even an option! This is BEAUTIFUL. Also Aurora will eventually tell they history, I’m sure of that. Thank you for this audiobook!

There’s so many things to say. Everything everyone else has said here totally rings true but I wanted to leave a comment for all the characters like Angelina. I’m so heartbroken that she was meant to be Ginny’s sister in law and now they’re strangers/ old friends who barely know each other. Angelina got to live though. Likely because of Hermione/ Ginny. What I have loved about this book, is that in what some would call the most cursed version of this timeline - I remembered what it was like the first time I read the books. This book brings back the soul and hope of the franchise that I feel has been lost a little through time and Rowling spitting vitriol. I have to admit I was waiting for it all to fall apart. But I’m so glad it didn’t. The epilogues show perfectly how even when you escape trauma, your body never forgets and it can never go back. You just have to find the pieces of joy and happiness and put them back together. I also love how it breaks apart this idea of good vs evil and how things and especially war are more complicated than that. ‘Love demands sacrifice’ has always been what these books have been about, but we don’t see it clearly until Hermione, the cleverest, most essential character is left to pay the price. As someone who has gone through childhood and recent traumas, going to therapy to remember and reprocess, I can’t imagine the pain she endured even after they were safe. But that’s human existence, we live with the choices we made and the ones others made against us. That doesn’t mean there isn’t hope to be found, even in the darkest of places. As long as one only remembers to turn on the light 💡 thank you to everyone who made the audiobook and senlinyu for finding the light for us ❤
