Very helpful. It all came together for me with her last question - and his answer. Popping the little bubbles is akin to doing “the work,” as Byron Katie describes. I find myself wanting a big explosion that bursts all bubbles at once so I don’t fall back to old patterns, but that’s not really how it works. I have found, however, if I surrender to whatever comes up and simply accept what is - without judgment - the process goes much quicker.

thank you so much Francis for sharing your insights like this, and for people to share their questions. I discovered non duality few days ago and I feel like I found a cheer to ride the stream I was always shy to ride because I was missing the key element (Identifying completely with the awareness, and not as some "otherness that in fact would be me"). As a dancer, my work and practice led me to some kind of non dualistic attitude toward perceptions, but I didn't see until now how the quest of the self would lead me beyond the separate self. I was seeing consciousness as an experience we share (that there is only one of it), but I still saw it as an experience, therefore an object. It has been a real struggle for years now. I never lost faith in the quest for truth, but I've been doing so quite blindly and therefore went through a lot of imminent-death anxiety since I wouldn't have something to relate with other than my ego while my nature was forcing me to reach beyond it. I find it very powerful to think that there is an infinity of forms beyond any limited forms, but no "beyond awareness". It alleviates a fear I have to loose touch with particular forms of love if I identify with the true self (that loving everything would be equivalent to not loving anything). I am (re)discovering that it is not how it goes :))))
    Cheers in return

Just refuse the mind and you have built your house on rock, of which no floods and winds can bloweth down. You are that in which so called thoughts occur. What is a thought before a thought? Thanks Francis.

The video was insightful. I have been trying to search for a TH-cam vid like yours that really breaks down the topics in this vid! 🙌 👨‍⚕️Your explanation reminds me of the channel of this insightful Dr. Ethan. Ethan's videos are actually informative and I really learned a lot for my finals. He is an insightful Doctor in the UK and he teaches diabetes and health.
I recommend you watch his page out and give the medical student a like! ➡️ #DoctorEthanNHS
