    Nostalgia, misapplied, is truly a great way to refer to the mental deviation the vast majority of us live in. We all need to realize that what we are nostalgic for is not the past of the individual, but the Source from which we all came, and which we all are.

    These teachings always seem to arrive with such perfect timing for me. I'm at this point exactly! Right now I feel like I'm existing between two worlds, but neither attached nor detached to either ! My ego is desperately clambering for old lifestyles fueled by blissful memories. But there's a constant, immovable psychological reminder, a pressing psychological warmth comforting me, and telling me, that however much I may crave or desire these outdated ways it's not my journey anymore to be pursuing them. My ascent since 2020 has been so beautifully profound that amidst the chronic boredom there is always a smile when I'm reminded why it's happening. Thank you so much ❤ This channel and these teachings, and also those in the comment section who understand ❤

      Maybe consider watching a 15,17 min video on youtube called 'The Secret of Secrets - OSHO Talks Series on Audible'.

      Although I'm definitely not a fan of tech, it is astonishing and beautiful that like minded people can connect and express their thoughts via this wise channel. But how I would love to be able to properly converse with souls on the same Quest. A deep conversation and sharing of the journey towards understanding of God and ultimate truth. So many interactions are wasted on banal, trivial or destructive matters of the ego.

    Thank you. It feels like the ego is a Suit that fits to well and is worn out at the same time. Desires and stories about how it's going to be, or what there is to obtain are just the illusions of a lost child in the wilderness of human zivilisation.
    Love and blessings to everyone 🙏❤️

    I think the best way to tame the ego is not to ignore your emotions but to feel them to the highest and polarise them internally during moments of meditation.
    If you get angry whilst driving and honk at another for example come back to it later. Run through the moment in your head and this time visualise the extreme. Feel the rage again, imagine hunting them down and smashing their car etc. Once you’ve calmed down start again and this time visualise the polar opposite. Imagine forgiving them and loving them instead of feeling the rage. Imagine they are your child or loved one and you know they didn’t mean it and made a mistake. Laugh at the error and feel joy for the silliness.
    Do this as often as possible and your ego will naturally learn to choose the positive option in the moment as it’s experienced both choices and actually prefers the moments that contain love.
    We can’t ignore our ego but must learn to live in balance with it. The darkness needs the light and the light needs the darkness. All is perfect just as it is.

    So so true Thanks yogis for this reminder in tough times! 🙏
    When temptation comes you must first stop the action or urge, and then reason. If you try to reson first you will be compelled in spite of yourself to do the thing that you don't want to do temptation will overcome all reson. Just say no! and get up and go away, that is the surest way to escape the devil. The more you develop this won't power during the intrusion of temptation the happier you will be, for all joy depends on the ability to do that which conscience tells you you should do. - Paramahansa Yogananda

    Shun, maybe the ones that left weren't Yogis to begin with.
    I believe in being in a loving passionate relationship. Like Fred Davis said, the Absolute doesn't negate the Relative.
    You got me laughing with this one.
    As for going so high, the character never gets there. Are you saying you know exactly what it's like to be enlightened or One with the Father?
    Socrates said, "he that says he knows, knows nothing. "
    God, I love you. 😃

    (A Legendary Quote) From one of the greatest Esoteric teachers of our modern time: G.I. Gurdjieff (From "All and Everything" "The First Series") As related to the concepts of "Conscience" and "Christ Consciousness"...
    "in the *SUBCONSCIOUSNESS* of people, there are crystallized and there are always present the data MANIFESTED *FROM ABOVE* for engendering in them the *DIVINE IMPULSE OF CONSCIENCE* and that only he who aquires the 'ableness' that the actions of these data *participate in the functioning* of that consciousness of theirs in which they pass *their everyday existence*, has in the objective sense the honest right to be called and really to be a genuine son of our COMMON FATHER CREATOR of all that exists..."

    Is the ego ever truly deleted? Or simply curtailed like a caged tiger?

    • @James-pc1ku
      @James-pc1ku วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Anything that is, has been, or ever will be, can never be completely deleted ! The ego, as you describe as a tiger, through understanding and inner work, becomes so tame the cage doesn't even need to be there ! The tiger is so well, and over time, so easily controlled through discipline and mastery it just disappears like dust to wind ..... Although like everything else, it will never truly be erased ❤

    • @ryucayenneofffical
      @ryucayenneofffical วันที่ผ่านมา

      @James-pc1ku Well, if that's true that's quite a elaborate take on what ego is and how to deal with it, which might want to be explained as ego taming rather then some mystical experience of elevated consciousness experience that goes beyond the duality of ego and non-ego.

      Whenever I go climbing I'm followed by a dog called ego. You (God) rule the dog or the dog rules. Either you are controlled by the dog and there is constant struggle, self sabotage and inner/outer fights, suffering and fear. Or you surrender to God and the dog will become your servant that keeps quiet and still untill you (God) wants it do something. It's more of a remembrance of what we really are and that we have been thinking love instead of being love. Being love (still) frees you from being the ego and then it becomes a dog that can help you. But it will be very clear that you are not the dog, so you will not be ruled by the dog. I hope this helps you answer your question. I send you love and peace of mind 🙏❤

    Repeated viewing of teachings, repeated contemplation (throughout the waking time), meditation, and self-inquiry (Atma Bodha helps there), is effectively a drumming out of the ego drummed into us through repetition in the past. The more the easier and the less required as wu wei is the nature. Available in an instant, one can slip back into ego though but then after a time, such backward ventures become more and more unpalatable.

      In the past I had similar. For me, finding thorough forgiveness each time an issue arose in my memory was (and occasionally still is) an effective way of just getting rid of the junk. And trusting that God is everywhere; that all is in Divine order; everything is fair (karma); believing that we all chose to experience our lives in order to grow. Acceptance. Live one day at a time - let go of the past, and all grudges. Meditate, exercise, walk in Nature daily if possible. Good luck on your awesome journey.

    Is passion not desire? We are all led to do something. Like how you are led to speak at an ashram for example. I feel we all have a natural artistic expression of something that will catalyze higher awareness in others. That isn’t lower desire more a byproduct of being on fire for God and the ultimate truth I feel.

    I love reminiscing about the past, history, old architecture and nostalgia. Is there any harm in that ?
    Many beautiful things are physical - Art, beauty, nature, music, a cool breeze, bird song etc - must we disassociate with these physical / sensual pleasures ?

      Yes. Also a sensitive, gentle male may be confronted with a toxic, violent father as a role model and consequentualy decide that he must be feminine, as he doesn't fit the mold.

      A son who is unable to form a intimate bond with his father (perhaps father is emotionally unavailable, doesn't want to be in marriage, immature or narcissistic personality and unable to father, etc) will leave a vacuum that could be the start to homosexual attachments or looking for male intimacy, companionship. Puberty arrives and we seek connection with that we need the most.

      It’s hard for me to consider the spiritual underpinnings of homosexuality. Seems like it’s simultaneously modulating the population and helping breed compassion/needed feminine energies in men. Plus, when it comes to lust, it’s one more outlet for men.
