It's obvious a lot of this game was cut. The last portion of the map to be revealed is pretty large, but hardly used. It was kind of annoying it was like, "I can finally get a phoenix and graphorn so I can upgrade my legendary gear. Oh look the game is over. Cool... cool "
Yeah, there was a whole RP aspect to this game, which got cut. Character background, companions like mentioned in the video, relationship system and moral system. All cut.
Yea, right after getting the graphorn and doing the fourth trial I did the quest immediately after thinking it was a follow up quest, only to beat the game lol. I didn't even get to explore the entire bottom right part of the map because as soon as you enter there it's the end of the game.
@@joshwest9373 I don't believe so. There's the mission where you need a student that speaks goblin to get into the mine that links that section of the map to the rest of the map.
You can tell Amit was meant to be a companion because in the early promotions where they have all the companions poppy, Sebastian, and Natasia. Amit was there representing Ravenclaw. It sucks that they cut his character tho I really like Amit.
I think the companion thing was cut late. When you clear the Bandit camps the character always says something to the effect of "did that and there's no one around to see" I think that is a holdover from what was supposed to be a companion system
Ravenclaw females get the cobalt regalia dress for completing the moth to a frame quest (any character can get it but it only looks good on ravenclaws) Ravenclaw gets arguably the coolest broom in game, and you can get it for free just by popping a few balloons (also anybody can get the Night Dancer broom but as with the dress it only really looks good with a Ravenclaw) Ravenclaw gets the coolest common room, with a rooftop you can land on with your broom. Ravenclaw seems best fitting for the player character as it's the only house without a companion, meaning while poppy is the hufflepuff, sebastian is the slytherin, and nat is the gryffindor, YOU are meant to be the Ravenclaw. Only thing I dislike about Ravenclaw is the exclusive quest is pretty lame, but they're all lame compared to Hufflepuff's
@@michaelbishop9569 While it's true any player in any house can get any of the brooms, a Hufflepuff would NOT look good riding around on a green, black, and silver Sky Scythe, that broom is clearly made for Slytherin players and they have to pay $5000 to unlock it The Night Dancer broom has Ravenclaw colors, and only really looks good when a Ravenclaw is riding on it, and you only have to pop 2 balloon sets to unlock it.
It seems like Ravenclaw is the intended house for the mc to get sorted into though. Because no matter what dialogue options you choose, the character speaks in a manner consistent with someone who's curious and pursuing knowledge, ie, Ravenclaw vibes... And perhaps the mc is intended to be the standout character from Ravenclaw since all the other houses already have one. I'm playing as a Ravenclaw and I'm quite happy with the playthrough except for the minor regret of not having visited Azkaban. Agreed some gameplay is missing for players in the house but hopefully that's addressed in a dlc... Till then, I'm happy exploring Hogwarts being in my own house :)
Didn't miss much in Azkaban. Unless there's multiple visits anyways. Buy it might as well been a cutscence. You don't do anything except follow an npc to a dialouge spot
@@CaptObvious88 The trophy Aurors apprentice - Find the Map Chamber as a Hufflepuff can be only obtained as Hufflepuff. If you care about trophies you don't have to play the game again just for that trophy.
I don't think that any particular house was intended. There is just no way there wasn't going to be player choice over which house the MC was sorted into. You're inserting your MC into the gap left by cut content. Which is a completely cool way to approach that lack of content.
@@nickwilliams8302 no I mean I get what you’re saying but I actually DO think that raven claw is the “preferred cannon” option. As was stated, it’s the only house that doesn’t get a student with a “main” side quest line, so the main quest makes sense for that to be the ravenclaw quest line. It also fits the voice actors as was also said. It also explains why the main character is able to learn 5 years worth of material in less than one. Of all the houses, ravenclaw would be the most likely to pursue that knowledge as quickly. And then I know this probably lends itself to the voice acting point a little bit, but I just feel like the choices you make in the game and the way you socialise with people isn’t particularly in line with anyone but ravenclaw. You’re a bit awkward or nervous talking to people most of the time. You’re also generally good by default, even if you make “bad” choices, your default state is being friendly with everyone until you’re prompted to do something bad. And on that note, you never particularly do anything “SERIOUSLY” bad outside of using unforgivable curses during combat. Like yeah, you can like keep biscuit from that goblin in hogsmead, but I mean the “in-game” reason for that is actually completely justified from a logical standpoint and isn’t necessarily “bad” other than the goblin is sad. But in reality it might actually be better because obviously the goblin can’t be trusted to take care of it, and you know for a fact you could keep it safe. So anyway yeah I dunno. You can dismiss it as just coping due to “cut content” but I actually think there’s just a lot of reasons why ravenclaw would be the intended house to choose.
FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS IT!!! Im glad to see in some ways that ravenclaw was MEANT to have more content, but also at the same time I think the writing for Clopton and Thakkar made them really annoying characters, the only ravenclaw I liked was Samantha Dale and all we get is a small side quest for her
That's exactly what I think I couldn't help but be bothered we didn't get any personalized quest that involved any effort, and honestly I ABSOLUTELY agree with how Everett is annoying, he's supposed to be a Ravenclaw and he gets us in trouble, like we don't get a say in the manner in broom flight he gets us to do it and because we're both Ravenclaws that dumbass gets double points taken from us, and all he replies with is "aw rotten luck" 🤣 boy, I did need to vent 😂🤣
Always thought Slytherin was the canon house option because Sebastian’s arc can easily be the main quest line. You even get the unforgivable curses from him.
You make it canon no matter the house you chose students can be friends with students from other houses as newt who was hufflepuff befriended leta lestrange harry befriended luna who was ravenclaw and so on
@@psstgaming6657 I wouldn't go as far as to say that his quests are only for Slytherins, they just seem to make more sense if you're already in that house. Think about it. In the books and the films, how often does Harry hangout with Malfoy? None. All of his friends are from Gryffindor. In Hogwarts Legacy, Sebastian is the companion you spend the most time with.
I'm a Hufflepuff, wanted to play as my house in the first playthrough, but my headcanon sees Ravenclaw as the "main" house for the story. Also, my compulsive need to balance things out compels me to do a Ravenclaw character as a main as well. It would just fit having all the houses as a unit.
I don’t really mind Amit not being a companion. Him being fascinated and scared about everything is kind of annoying but at least he’s kind. I would definitely love a DLC with a mysterious transfer student that gets sorted to Ravenclaw. A character who’s a little bit more fleshed out like Natty, Sebastian or Poppy. These three make you really want to know them when you meet them with Natty coming from Uagadou, Sebastian with his hunger for Dark Arts and Poppy and her relationship with the poachers. Amit’s just… there. He loves astronomy I guess. As a Ravenclaw, it would’ve been interesting to meet someone who already knew about the Ancient Magic that could help us or something exciting like that at least.
@@tekakiuluy3221 Ravenclaw often times known to be eccentric haha. Sad we dont have weirdos like Luna Lovegood in Hogwarts Legacy, but the MC is crazy enough for that lol. Also personally to me, Ravenclaw and Slytherin are a lot more similar than people thought.
I would love to have Ominis as a companion in a future game, I think He likes our character, He is always mad a Sebastian but listen to us when we are calm.
As a Ravenclaw that really hurt me that Ravenclaw didn't get that much love. In regards to Amit, I didn't really like him that much. I did like Everett though. I wished we had more quests with him than Amit. Everett matched the breaking or sneaking pass the rules theme going with the other companions. I just liked Everett's personality than Amit's and wished we switched the 2 lol
We already have two prominent characters in this game with whom we didn't interact nor formed a relationship with. Andrew Larson and Mahendra Pahlwan, fingers crossed we see more of them in the future and one of them is really fleshed out with an interesting background
I do have to say, as a Ravenclaw, they did make up a bit with the fact our common room is the mose "useful". On top of the room is a landing pad, which I ALWAYS use whenever I come back from adventuring outside. It always feels like I've came back home. I also never fast travel so it's really nice. I do have to say, in a dlc, I hope they add a Ravenclaw companion and the companion system back.
@@ellisp276 haha yes what kind of monster uses the unforgivable curses, instead gotta accio + incendio + glacius + diffindo + depulso them off a cliff like a merciful kind soul
I think Slytherin is the “canon” house because you get extra dialogue with Sebastian and Ominis in the common room sometimes and it makes the most sense for a Slytherin to be an antihero that uses death curses
@@ellisp276 Ravenclaw is only defined by wit, intelligence, curiosity, willingness to learn and adapt to different situations. They don't have any stance on rules, bravery or anything like that.
I thought of Amit as a companion because he does indeed leave Hogwarts with you. It does seem abbreviated. Probably because Goblins = Bad is controversial and his quest soured the optics. I can believe that the Snidgets quest got combined with a cut quest about something Goblin related involving moonstone, Centaurs, and astronomy, but I doubt Poppy was suddenly put in charge of the Snidget story rather than that the Snidget quest was simply shorter and more straightforward at one time (perhaps part of the trek to the Horntail’s nest).
I’m a ravenclaw and was excited to start the game as one. I finished the game so damn quickly, the common room is unbelievably lackluster, and felt the game ended out of nowhere. It felt rushed in many aspects and I’m hoping details are finally flushed out for the dlc.
Something I found odd was that in the original trailers, there was a scene showing what we now know to be a Poacher Executioner, but the way it was presented suggested that they were an important villainous character. I wonder if they were the final boss of a poacher storyline, but got relegated to a lesser role with some of the cut storylines...
Outside of Sebastian's quest poppy was my favorite companion and that whole quest felt like it was meant for her and I'd rather have Ominous Gaunt over Amit he just felt like someone there to continue the story nothing more
I've done a play through in all 4 houses, I agree, Ravenclaw was the least thought out, you'll see it's common room was different from the 3 other common rooms, there's no food in it like the others, suits of armor separating dorms instead of stairs that collapse in the other 3 houses, and the only house to have it's common room door right out in the broad open with the Eagle on the door, while the other 3 are hidden in some neat way. I thought the common room was elegant, but that's about it. In my personal opinion it was my 2nd favorite common room with Hufflepuff being my favorite. I think Slytherin had the best hiding the common room design though, Griffindor was just somewhere in the middle. Overall Ravenclaw being my first play through had a lot of drawbacks here and there, the overall game play though, negligible based on house picked though, you had maybe 1 or 2 quests that were different and different common rooms. Ravenclaw imo had the best looking house robe though. In the beginning shortly after the game released the number of people sorted into which house was: 1-Slytherin 2- Gryffindor 3-Ravenclaw 4- Hufflepuff, roughly a month after it's release there was a shakeup it was 1- Slytherin 2- Ravenclaw 3-Gryffindor and 4- Hufflepuff, as of this comment I don't know the current stats, but it seems Ravenclaw was seriously overlooked based on how many people actually picked that house.
The game feels like it was designed to be played as a Ravenclaw but the devs didn’t want to exclude other fans of Gryffindor, Slytherin and Hufflepuff. I mean, think about it. There’s no Ravenclaw companion, but there’s a Gryffindor, Slytherin and Hufflepuff companion? Our character has the same ancient magic abilities as Isidora, a Ravenclaw. It works perfectly as a Ravenclaw.
Ravenclaw had the best looking outfits in the entire game. Especially the dedalion key quest that gives you really nice looking house robe. With this being said, I don't particularly care that ravenclaw got 'done dirty' Cosmetics are king :D
Interesting... I've only done one playthrough and I chose Ravenclaw.. mostly because I typically get sorted there. So I find it interesting you think it was slighted. I didn't feel slighted... but then I don't much care for companions in game anyway so... wasn't that bad. But not having done any of the other quests I don't know. I had a good time with it. Rather enjoyed my time in Ravenclaw... also... best coat in game from that key quest... least that's my opinion. Freaking love that coat.
Putting all of this together based on this video, it seem very likely that Ravenclaw could be considered as the true canon house of Hogwarts Legacy. My guess is that time constraints and overlapping ideas could have led to some cuts in content. I like Amit, we could have done more with him as a companion.
I agree there are better lead-ins to the Jackdaw story, but the Scrope story was not much better than trying to get a wand from the Owlery. Other than that, I don't think which house you're in makes a difference (but it's worth checking them all out). I could really use less of Amit, not more. The Ravenclaw robe you get from the house chest is the best (the Gryffindor one has a fur collar that clips in with my character's hair). I did everything with my first game with Ravenclaw, and I liked it. The only way I was "done dirty" was a collectible is bugged and I can't get them all.
Yea i loved Amit, and wanted to see more of him. I also expected to see more development of Headmaster Black, given his dual portraits future role in the HP series.
I'd theorize if there was a cut storyline for Amit's character it may have had something to do with how badly he spoke goblin and him needing to improve his ability to speak goblin to resolve it. however, take note. i have not beaten the game yet.
I was kinda annoyed on my first playthrough. I went with Ravenclaw because that's my house but I think the playthrough with the other houses is much better. I hope they add something in a DLC but we'll have to wait.
unpopular opinion, but the Ravenclaw quest for jackdaw actually makes the most sense in the main questline since Olivander is already involved in the story and I liked him having a bit more screen time. He also mention what you did during the main quest. It also was a bit more interactive even if a bit simple. To me Azkaban sounds a bit bland, If i'm not even fighting Dementors then why bother.
hopefully we get much DLC and updates to the game. the map is huge but a lot of it is kinda bland and not even needed to explore. i'm like 90% done all my main and side quests yet only like 30% explored lol. along with amit, i would love to see more ominus, he was such a interesting characteer
I totally agree. Perhaps we can bring parts of this to life at some point with the help of the modding community. My idea would be to have the companions house-exclusive, which would mean 4 seriously different experiences for 4 playthroughs. One or two main companions from the house you're sorted into, with their unique story line intertwined with the main plot. Which would not only entail a unique story line for Amit, but also having the main quest be slightly different as you would have to find another person to speak Gobbledegook for the other houses - which, for Hufflepuff, could be Rowland Oakes, the father of that Hufflepuff girl, for example, who you rescue from goblins. So that could be a main quest in that case. For S and G you'd either use that guy as well or find another person or goblin to help you...
My first playthrough was Ravenclaw and the lack of house specific content was annoying. Why would the MC hang out with members of different houses and never hang out with their own house? That being said I'd rather have no house companion then Amit, that character is completely cringe.
No companion, but at least Ravenclaw has bathrooms in their common room for witches AND wizards. Hufflepuffs have to run to the Slytherin dungeons if they need a midnight bathroom break.
It was kinda obvious that Ravenclaw would be a bit lackluster in the game. We got Gryffindor and Slytherin, both of which have to be fleshed because being the main protagonist and antagonist in the series but also before (it's the fall out between Salazar and Godric that leads to the four founders growing distant), the Hufflepuffs that constantly whine about being overlooked while in everything coming out past the series that is far away from being true but still, they throw hissy fits and then we have Ravenclaws who are truly being overlooked but have to deal with their fate because "HuFfLePuFfS aRe OvErLoOkEd". And that's the bigger and more vocal group.
I liked Amit, but agree that he is the least fleshed out companion with the least interesting backstory. That is not to say that they couldn’t have done something more with him. Perhaps it came down to time. 🤷🏻♀️ clearly the companions the devs cared the most about were done the best. Perhaps in DLC or any sequels we could use him as a study-buddy for classes. Or flesh out his involvement with the astronomy locations, which as of right now are pointless and they are most connected to Amit who is equally insignificant comparatively speaking to the other three companions. If I were to give Amit something interesting to do, I’d have him be writing a work of fiction on the side with the MC as his muse. Perhaps he uses a mix of rumor from hogwarts students and villagers and information he gets from the MC themselves to create stories loosely based on the MC. The MC can simply roll with it or get angry. I’d find it highly amusing if we could find pages of his story around hogwarts and see the details it gets right and wrong or exaggerates. It’d also be funny if he inserts himself into the story. Making himself appear more significant than he really is. Then add in npc students talking about the story around Hogwarts and hearing what they think. Perhaps it moves from a minor inconvenience to something more pressing when Amit’s fictional stories get him into serious trouble and the MC has to get him out of it. Maybe the daily prophet learns of the stories and the MC as the inspiration and comes looking for a story. Then the MC would have to deal with nosy reporters looking into their secret and convincing Amit to stop writing fiction about them. Anyways, I think such a storyline would fit his character and still make him more significant to how the story progresses.
Sooo basically make Amit the 'Dandelion the bard' of Hogwarts... This game is already far too similar to the Witcher... Having Amit do this would've convinced everyone that it's just a skin on the wild hunt :)
@@sinsanemb I hadn’t made the connection to The Witcher, but you are right. 😆 it fits so well. I was thinking more of a less self-absorbed and naive Lockhart. With a nosy Rita Skeeter style reporter subplot. Perhaps too on the nose? All I did was take what little there was given to us about Amit and follow the logic plot lines through. He talks about adventure books and even says at the end of the gobbledygook quests that he was going to write a story about it. But in terms of inspiration, there’s so much they lifted almost directly off of HP book 6. The concept of seeing traces of magic, the history of the Gaunt family, the idea of dark wizards leaving painfully sadistic challenges to hide things. But yea, I can see that they got some inspiration elsewhere as well.
It’s sad but I feel like they had to do some cuts and Gryffindor is the traditional hero house that we who grew with the golden trio love, Slytherin is the cool badass rebel house so it’s also pretty popular, and Hufflepuff, although being overlooked for a long time, is now trendy because of Newt and kinda feels like the “Millenials Gryffindor” for those who want to appear cool and original. And then there’s Ravenclaw. Still stuck to having only one great character (Luna) and probably the weakest fanbase. Don’t get me wrong dear ravens, but I believe it played on the decision when they realized they couldn’t keep it all. And yes it’s kinda sad.
I'm convinced that the Centaur leader was supposed to be an antagonist with Duran taking his clan back. Dude just.... Threatens to murder kids but immediately ignores that and decides to helps them out of nowhere, OFF SCREEN
I am 50 hours into my 2nd playthrough as ravenclaw. Hopefully we get two more hogwarts games. Covering year 6 and 7. More spells to learn, teleportation, non verbal magic.
That is so disappointing considering that I'm ravenclaw I didn't even realize I was going to have a less interesting experience compared to everybody else
I'm hoping that modders expand out this game to their hearts desire. It's a gem of a game on its own, but what they've added thus far is great. Maybe they'll push the map out, add new areas. Who knows.
At the very least Ravenclaw has it own bathroom for both genders. In Gryffindor only the girls have a bathroom. Slytherin has to leave the common room to go ta a toilet. And Huffelpuff gotta go on an adventure because the nearest bathroom from their house would be the Slytherin as well :D
I knew it. IDK why they keep mistreating it. Shouldn't it be superior House in all ways? When I realized there'd be no fully fleshed Ravenclaw companion I was livid. And I'm Gryffindor.
I mean, i much prefer the Jackdawn mission variant from ravenclawn than the Gryffindor, that fucking pumpking hunting thing is so annoying lmao. What's weird is that there is no closure for Ollivander for his family wand tho, poor guy is still waiting, 'They kind forgot' i guess lol
I blame WB for not giving Avalanche a big enough budget for the development of this game. We could have Quidditch, more Companions and generally a more deeper and fleshed out game. I like how it is now but t think they could have done more.
After 80+ hours as Hufflepuff I just started 1 as Hermione as Ravenclaw and clones Sebastian Sallow for a Slytherin playthrough. Its hilarious seeing Sebastian talk to Sebastian and no one notices. Ok, I LOVE Hufflepuff but they got *the shaft* for common rooms!! The color scheme is brilliant but nothing to do there. Love the Ravenclaw skypark (it will be a while before I unlock it) and the layers of CR in Slytherin are pretty phat. TagbackTV did a 2nd playthrough as Gryffindor and saw how wild that CR is too. Lastly its lame how you do quests with people from other houses. It would have been better if you did these and the people were people from your own house each time. This would have been more true to just how things are: you get to know the people in your communities better than adjacent ones and like fraternities/sororities in college you are closest with them. Secondly it would have made it that much more interesting to do a subsequent playthrough as a different house
Ravenclaw is always kinda left behind imo Just look at the books, the movies and even the merch :( This house has the least amount of known students and so on...
The part with poppy you say it doesnt make sense but its part of her questline as you see them during your way to the tent and you say her quest doesnt make sense since you say she doesnt hold a grudge to a certain character but its about saving magical creatures from the poachers you learn that side of her early on in the game... And dont forget hufflepuff is a house that is known for megical creatures and magical plant ravenclaw is for science and the stars so no matter that the centaurs planted those stones thats as far as a ravenclaw concern is as they are more for using them to look at the stars so it makes more sense that poppy meets the centaurs as she feels closer to life of the creatures then ravenclaw does they feel more comfort staying at the school to learn about science
There is this glitch that happened to me right after I learned repero. The statue that is near the water when you learn repero if you go in front of it and you break and repero it IT for some reason gets bigger and pushed me out of hogwarts then I could go around the open world without doing the "Welcome to Hogsmeade" quest! You can't go back in Hogwarts unless you select a save when you where in hogwarts. 😂
I’ve played through this game twice now. First time the game glitched and I couldn’t get all the field guide pages. I collected all of them but something happened and it says I’m missing one. I’ve gone through on line videos telling me where to go to find them and I have them all. So something glitched. Second play through same thing but now it’s a chest. Anyone else having problems like this?
Poppy is my favourite companion. All the hufflepuff side characters seem the most interesting to me, actually. I don't really like Amit, but it is interesting that they put in a character who's kind of an academic bookworm who isn't very competent or brave in the "real world." I disagree that the centaurs are a fit for Amit unless he were to mock them, but that would be out of character for him. The centaurs aren't into astronomy; they are astrologers, which is very different.
Which doesn't make any sense, coz almost all Ravenclaw characters in the HP books are very brave, except for Gildreoy Lockhart. But it seemed like The Devs took Gildreoy Lockhart as an inspiration for two of the Ravenclaws in the game (Amit and Duncan) , with one of them being an important npc (Amit).
There's a prisoner we save that makes a massive point about speaking fluent gobbledegook and it definitely feels like we were meant to be given a choice when we need to find someone who speaks it. I think this was originally a choice and if we chose the prisoner there would have been a more impressed cutscene at the mine
I remember when everyone was overreacting when they revealed Amit’s info card. I knew they only introduced him as a last second response to cries about a lack of ravenclaw presence. They probably couldn’t find a way to make a 4th companion unique enough so they stuck with 3. Amit was just a bone thrown to ravenclaw fanatics which I don’t see why people would care enough.
I made a Gryffindor as that was the house I was placed in due to the test and a Hufflepuff by choice & surprisingly I actually love being a Hufflepuff more. It gives me the 420 vibes I needed lol & I also feel more powerful then my Gryffindor but it could be because of the length difference and wands. Both are made with the same material though.
Ravenclaw has their own set of washrooms in their dorm, that's a plus, in Hufflepuff students have to get out of their corridor to take a shit. That quite a distance to go to the washroom.
before I even get into watching this video, I have to agree with the sentiments. the Ravenclaw common room was fairly pretty but the dorm rooms were so run down and claustrophobic, don't even get me started on that disgusting bathroom...considering the arithmancy door in Ravenclaw tower is filled with old crusty bathtubs... I suspect those things never get cleaned, just replaced occasionally, every few hundred years or so. Why wasn't Amit given an actual questline? Ravenclaw is the only house with no proper companion questline. Them griffindorks have Natty, the huffenanpuffins get Poppy and them slythering basement-dwellers get Sebastian AND Ominis. Why is my house the only one left out in this regards? Sure us raven-loonatics do get Amit but it's hard to consider him as a proper companion with a questline since of the two times we get to have him with us, one is mostly just an extension of astronomy class and the other... isn't about him at all and he shouldn't have even been involved. Anyways, I'm done raven on about the state of my house. Carry on with the video!
I do believe that we would have gotten at least two companion from each house. I do believe Ominis would have played a much larger role because he is such an interesting and sympathetic character yet we did get much exposure with him. Everret would have been important and Gareth Weasley was criminally underused. Honestly the whole Polyjuice potion segment could have been a long extended questline that can involve more people, but Fig just copped out and be like “I had it conveniently”. Also I gotta say the keeper trials were boring. The first two are essentially the same, and the last two had so little interaction it’s insulting. I think the spell trials from the first three game could have inspired some nice design. Sometimes I feel like this game has FF15 syndrome. It’s very good openworld design and gameplay in the first half but the later half just make you go “huh?” or “what?” or “why?”. Clearly a time constraint that has prevented this from being a good game. It has all the pieces, it has good setup and interesting story and character but it ended so anticlimactically.
Amit is too much of a coward for me... I would have liked a fully fleshed story arc with him as well, so Ravenclaw players wouldn't feel left behind and I would have more quest to enjoy, but only if it leads to some sort of character growth for him. I don't know... something like, he starts growing a pair of Griffindor balls as we go into dangerous places, and in the end of his questline, he gets to show he's more than a nerd that watches the stars all the time.
For Amit to grow into having a Gryffindor’s personality is a bit of drastic change for me, but I totally agree that Amit has so much potential for character development. I’d to see how his passion, as a Ravenclaw, would lead him on an adventure which the MC would be happy to assist him.
I think knw who amits antagonist is the centaur leader you can tdll this as he tells the other centaur who originally help you thats hes the lowest ranking member an hes a cast out then he randomly turns up to help you in the fight at the end i think that was the boss fight but it was reworked after it was switched to poppy jst a thought
I think you were almost always supposed to have a companion with you since you’re a new fifth year but they cut it because they thought it would get annoying but oh how wrong they were. Or maybe a companion system was too hard to make and didn’t want to push the game back any further. Don’t forget this company has only done the Cars 3 video game is I’m correct or that’s their most notable, that could be totally wrong though, I didn’t fact check
I know their BIG games was Disney Infinity however like last year media zeroed in on one of their team leads forcing him to quit to save the rest of the team from the mediawhich probably slowed production a bit
I would have loved Amit but I particularly don’t like Everett he’s not cool he’s really annoying 😅 But Amit is pretty nice would have been great to see his chat flesh out. I played my first time through as a Ravenclaw and I walked in and after talking to all the characters I said out loud “Really! I get all the nerds!” (I am a nerd so don’t worry) but it worked out fine the Ravenclaw color scheme is a serious vibe
Honestly I can see Everett doing some mad mischief out of boredom and Amit character development. I saw lots of complaints already that the game seemed rushed and interactions don't add to the overall storyline that much. I just wish the devs took some more time before putting the game out, no one would have complained and everyone would've understood if they needed to delay to make and finalise more content
It's obvious a lot of this game was cut. The last portion of the map to be revealed is pretty large, but hardly used. It was kind of annoying it was like, "I can finally get a phoenix and graphorn so I can upgrade my legendary gear. Oh look the game is over. Cool... cool "

Amit sucked dude said he could speak goblin he could not the liar
that may be so, but ravenclaw dorm is the only one u can fly in and out of on a broom
Yupp that's true. 💯 😊
You can? Darn.
Thanks for telling us lol I didn’t know that
Fitting.
Most people just fast travel out of efficiency so it doesn’t really matter
Ravenclaw females get the cobalt regalia dress for completing the moth to a frame quest (any character can get it but it only looks good on ravenclaws)
Ravenclaw gets arguably the coolest broom in game, and you can get it for free just by popping a few balloons (also anybody can get the Night Dancer broom but as with the dress it only really looks good with a Ravenclaw)
Ravenclaw gets the coolest common room, with a rooftop you can land on with your broom.
Ravenclaw seems best fitting for the player character as it's the only house without a companion, meaning while poppy is the hufflepuff, sebastian is the slytherin, and nat is the gryffindor, YOU are meant to be the Ravenclaw.
Only thing I dislike about Ravenclaw is the exclusive quest is pretty lame, but they're all lame compared to Hufflepuff's
wait what broom? you mean certain houses don't get certain brooms?
Cope and Seethe.
🤭
@@Luthfil1958MJ yeah I’m confused too any house can get the same brooms from popping balloons
@@michaelbishop9569 While it's true any player in any house can get any of the brooms, a Hufflepuff would NOT look good riding around on a green, black, and silver Sky Scythe, that broom is clearly made for Slytherin players and they have to pay $5000 to unlock it
The Night Dancer broom has Ravenclaw colors, and only really looks good when a Ravenclaw is riding on it, and you only have to pop 2 balloon sets to unlock it.
@@Whocares158 Coming from a Trans flag? Lol good joke
Wasn’t it confirmed that Ravenclaw’s companion quest got cut? I feel like I read it or saw somewhere before but I can’t remember
FINALLY SOMEONE SAYS IT!!! Im glad to see in some ways that ravenclaw was MEANT to have more content, but also at the same time I think the writing for Clopton and Thakkar made them really annoying characters, the only ravenclaw I liked was Samantha Dale and all we get is a small side quest for her
That's exactly what I think
I couldn't help but be bothered we didn't get any personalized quest that involved any effort, and honestly I ABSOLUTELY agree with how Everett is annoying, he's supposed to be a Ravenclaw and he gets us in trouble, like we don't get a say in the manner in broom flight he gets us to do it and because we're both Ravenclaws that dumbass gets double points taken from us, and all he replies with is "aw rotten luck" 🤣 boy, I did need to vent 😂🤣
Always thought Slytherin was the canon house option because Sebastian’s arc can easily be the main quest line. You even get the unforgivable curses from him.
Heck some of Sebastian’s stuff IS main storyline. More so than the others.
There is no "canon" house option in the game.
You make it canon no matter the house you chose students can be friends with students from other houses as newt who was hufflepuff befriended leta lestrange harry befriended luna who was ravenclaw and so on
i don't really get it. I am gryffindor and can still do all quests with sebastian. How is that quest line supposed to be only for slytherins?
@@psstgaming6657 I wouldn't go as far as to say that his quests are only for Slytherins, they just seem to make more sense if you're already in that house. Think about it. In the books and the films, how often does Harry hangout with Malfoy? None. All of his friends are from Gryffindor. In Hogwarts Legacy, Sebastian is the companion you spend the most time with.
Ravenclaw did get shafted but at least they have by far the best common room
I went with Ravenclaw because being the main character brought balance to the equation. "I see an empty seat at the table... I guess its for me."
Tbh the Mc gives major Ravenclaw energy
I always thought they were more of a Slytherin since they don't really care about anything and are a bit of a sociopath

I don't think RC are done dirty... With all the other main characters being from the other houses, it's almost like Ravenclaw is the canon house.
The personality of the mc does seem to fit ravenclaw, with how curious and willing to learn he/she is

Outside of Sebastian's quest poppy was my favorite companion and that whole quest felt like it was meant for her and I'd rather have Ominous Gaunt over Amit he just felt like someone there to continue the story nothing more
True, Sebastian, Ominis and Poppy were the most well written and fleshed out characters in the game.
The reason why there is no ravenclaw companion is because the main character we play as on the front cover is ravenclaw
i think each of the students you have to introduce yourself to in the common rooms at the start were possible additional companions.
With this being said, I don't particularly care that ravenclaw got 'done dirty'
Cosmetics are king :D
If amit had a storyline i think it would be signified simalar to Sebastian being "Amongst the ___" while Sebastian is "in the shadow of ____"
i like to think that in order for HL to be cannon , our character must be a specific house , ravenclaw was chosen
I was kinda annoyed on my first playthrough. I went with Ravenclaw because that's my house but I think the playthrough with the other houses is much better. I hope they add something in a DLC but we'll have to wait.
Yeah Amit got the shortend. I guess the only plus is that his missions are required while most of the others are side and can be skipped
unpopular opinion, but the Ravenclaw quest for jackdaw actually makes the most sense in the main questline since Olivander is already involved in the story and I liked him having a bit more screen time. He also mention what you did during the main quest. It also was a bit more interactive even if a bit simple. To me Azkaban sounds a bit bland, If i'm not even fighting Dementors then why bother.
They do have the most amazing bathrooms for both girls and boys in the common rooms though.
I wish we have relationship quest with Amit more than just one quest.
hopefully we get much DLC and updates to the game. the map is huge but a lot of it is kinda bland and not even needed to explore. i'm like 90% done all my main and side quests yet only like 30% explored lol. along with amit, i would love to see more ominus, he was such a interesting characteer
WTH??
Ravenclaw is the only house with roof access on their homechamber!
Oh damn you can have companions?
I finished 100% twice and only ever did missions with them. Didn't know you could just travel with them too
Its a mod
Also our beds are wack as hell compared to the other beds
My first playthrough was Ravenclaw and the lack of house specific content was annoying. Why would the MC hang out with members of different houses and never hang out with their own house? That being said I'd rather have no house companion then Amit, that character is completely cringe.
Same, he made me Cringe so hard, and this is coming from a South Asian.
Than*
Guess with the fact that Ravenclaw isn't represented amongst companions means choosing Ravenclaw resets that balance lol
Nothing has ever made me feel sad about being a Ravenclaw until this game came out.
Haven't tried to find Ravenclaw merch with the right colours and eagle, hm?😢
No companion, but at least Ravenclaw has bathrooms in their common room for witches AND wizards.
Hufflepuffs have to run to the Slytherin dungeons if they need a midnight bathroom break.
I looked at it as it was Poppy's Family was the issue and that it would be a DLC the seek her Family out and stop them.
Or maybe Introduce a new and fresh Ravenclaw Character perhaps 😊
Are you kidding me? They have the most if not sophisticated and elaborated Common Room. Their design is the most unique out of the 4
I'm convinced that the Centaur leader was supposed to be an antagonist with Duran taking his clan back.
Ravenclaws get to travel to space and visit the Wizard School on the moon.
Damn, Ill just BE the Ravenclaw companion for everybody else 😒. Bailed out Natty, bailed Sebastain, bailed out Poppy
This game overall feels so unfinished. I wish it was kept another 6 months in the oven so it could have way more features and content.
I feel like this game was released too early. It seems like not all of it was fully finished and was instead just cut.
I hope they either expand this stuff with patches, even dlc, but also by default for the sequel
Hello ! Anyone knows what the coat at 4:45 is ? Thanks !
Griffindor has the most to do yet it’s still really not that much I can only imagine being in the other houses
Poppy is best gal, Sebby is best boi. Prof Garlick is mommy
Ravenclaw is always kinda left behind imo
Just look at the books, the movies and even the merch :(
This house has the least amount of known students and so on...
I guess I didn't really notice because I was playing as a Ravenclaw 🤣
I hope they do a companion mode for next game or even as a DLC.
Great points, I never even thought of any of that
There is this glitch that happened to me right after I learned repero.
I was wondering why Ravenclaw seemed to be hamstrung.
Yeah, and he just had to be an Asian, Typical Hollywood
Great insights here :) Thanks for sharing :)
So mission aren't the same depending on which house is chosen?
Just the one where you meet Jack Daw's ghost.
This! Exactly 👏
maybe they'll add amits cut quest for free dlc down the line i hope
I didn’t choose ravenclaw because I didn’t feel I was smart enough to be one lol
I love Amit, please add quest line in future update!!!!!!!!
Well ravenclaw is the best house so they had to make it fair somehow.
It hurts me to know that not even the devs care about my House. They totally blew it, lmao.
Honestly it could make sense the Mc being a ravenclaw but they should have done more for ravenclaw to make it so.
I really want to know why the Companion system was cut?
Amit is too much of a coward for me... I would have liked a fully fleshed story arc with him as well, so Ravenclaw players wouldn't feel left behind and I would have more quest to enjoy, but only if it leads to some sort of character growth for him. I don't know... something like, he starts growing a pair of Griffindor balls as we go into dangerous places, and in the end of his questline, he gets to show he's more than a nerd that watches the stars all the time.
As Sebastian once said, "You Gryffindors dont monopoly bravery"
For Amit to grow into having a Gryffindor’s personality is a bit of drastic change for me, but I totally agree that Amit has so much potential for character development. I’d to see how his passion, as a Ravenclaw, would lead him on an adventure which the MC would be happy to assist him.
Dude don't think so much about it, Amit isn't even an actual character but a Stereotype in a Trope.
Really, I actually enjoyed playing a Ravenclaw
I think knw who amits antagonist is the centaur leader you can tdll this as he tells the other centaur who originally help you thats hes the lowest ranking member an hes a cast out then he randomly turns up to help you in the fight at the end i think that was the boss fight but it was reworked after it was switched to poppy jst a thought
Amit was gunna be our Ron,
We have the least amount of side quest to which is annoying
Only Amit in Ravenclaw is a nerd tho, Everett is prankster and bully, though he looks quite like a nerd.
Ravenclaw had the most boring story , star finding? Really? They really did them dirty. Couldn't bother finishing it. I just did the main story .
