      Hey Jon, Angel Studios is a Mormon owned company. I wouldn’t call it “Christian”. That said, I have no idea whether the producers and other participants of After Death subscribe to Christian orthodoxy or not. Seems to me that given the beliefs of Mormonism, the NDEs, even the ones that contradict biblical Christianity, would be more compatible with Mormonism.
      On a different note, the guy Tim Ballard, on whom the movie Sound Of Freedom is based, is a dyed in the wool Mormon. His stated goal is to lead many people to Mormonism through his anti-trafficking work. That is, he saw his work with child trafficking as a vehicle to bring a Mormon revival in the US and the world. Have you been following the 💩 that’s lately hitting the fan regarding Tim? Sexual harassment and abuse allegations, and lawsuits from multiple women who worked at OUR.
      Going forward, I’d advise all Christians to critically evaluate anything coming out of Angel Studios. While much of it may be wholesome, I don’t trust the overall agenda.

      Great analysis! There was a lady who died and went to hell, but for a little while she thought she was in heaven. They gave answers she wanted to hear and believe then the demonic manifested and she realised it was a trick. I have had the thought that some NDE might be demonically deceptive to lead some people astray into the new age! Thankfully in this case it woke her up instead.

    As an NDE’er myself, I totally agree that the resurrection of Christ is the centrepiece of our faith and that in which we put our trust. People don’t set up NDE’s or OBE’s; they happen when people are not looking for them. Trust me on that. Also trust that the Bible is God’s authoritative Word, and all NDE/OBE experiences must be subjected to that.

      I think mine was a Death Experience, not a NDE. My theory is that some are real, and some are visions. I think Near-Death Experiences are probably visions, but if you really die, it is a real experience. Just a theory, but it seemed more real in heaven than here on Earth.

      @@archangel_oneI’d think they’re more like visions you don’t immediately go to heaven after death you are sent to a state that is like sleep but not really and you are both here nor there the rapture is the event that will send those souls to heaven as it is explained that the dead shall rise first. But that’s just my 2 cents I’ve never really cared to learn more about NDEs but if you want to just ask Yah this could all be explained in a dream or maybe there’s even some scripture that shows you everything. The wonderful thing about our father is he actually cares he wants you to learn but you have to take the steps to make sure you aren’t opening yourself to corruption.

    • @archangel_one
      @archangel_one ปีที่แล้ว +49

      @@BaggerFood101 I went straight home to God. Jesus was right there with me the entire time.
      The only thing I cared about was seeing Our Father, but I was not allowed. He was hidden behind mist and light. That's when I knew that I was dead, and that I was going to be sent back.
      My great-grandfather was there to greet me, as were those in my family who died in Christ. He looked perfect and very young, as did all the others. He died when I was around 11 months old.
      I knew that many were supposed to be there, but they were not. Holding onto my right arm, from oldest to youngest, were four children. I knew all the others, but did not recognize them.
      So I asked the oldest boy, "who are you?" referring to all of them. And he answered, "We know you, but you don't know us [yet]."
      Jesus turned me around and sent me back down to Earth. It was all wonderful, very pleasant, except when I was back in my body again. The pain was unbearable.
      My memory of the experience began to fade, so I asked God to please let me remember the children.
      My friend and his wife were banging at the door, I had to crawl over to unlock it. They said that God told them that I needed help. I have no idea how I got to the hospital.
      When I woke up just before dawn, I was in a wheelchair in the main hall of the hospital, and many doctors and nurses were there in front of me. A doctor was on his knees beside me. He said to me, "[my name] you're dead." This was not the only time this happened, but it was the first.
      According to him, they had run 3 tests on a machine, all of which said that it was impossible for me to be alive. So they got out the two newest machines, primed them and retested, three times each -- same results.
      So I asked him, "so you ran the same tests three times and three different machines -- a total of nine tests?" He said yes.
      So I said something like, "God brought me back."
      I said, "Jesus said, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:"
      One of the doctors (or nurse) on the end, looked like she was going to pass out. She left, and another doctor went with her. They both looked terrified.
      I started to pass out and the doctors all started leaving. I asked the doctor who was beside me, "who are all these people?" He said that it was all the doctors and nurses in the entire hospital.
      He turned me to the north, and I saw the parking lot light up due to the sun rising, and I passed out.
      This was not the only such experience.
      I've asked God who those children were, and I believe that they were my grandchildren, yet to be born, yet to die. None of them made it, they were right in order, a boy, and then three girls. I never told my daughter, but I told her husband after the last one died.

    My then atheistic late brother had the second experience. As he actually did die for a while. Though it's TRUE what he saw as heaven cannot be verified. His meeting our Grandmother was as he had never met before but described her to a T. And when he came to fear had completely left him. He gave his life to Christ. He was extremely frail through cancers however his Spirit was lit and all he lived for was to be baptised so he could tell all his friends about Jesus and heaven being real..But this was how we knew gir sure he had been to heaven. He publicly confessed to the whole congregation and his mates how selfish he had been and lived all his life. Trust me this was huge. Pride had bern broken. But when he said God could take him right now or heal him I knew death had lost its grip on him and he was fearlessly free.
    Previoulslwhen we found out his diagnosis I asked the Lord if he would die. That he would live to declare the glory of the Lord and that's exactly what happened as week later he passed away. Only an encounter with God could have brought such a change that all he wanted was to testify to all his atheist friends before passing.

Zero kookiness/weirdness at all whatsoever and the fruit is very evident in his and Paula’s life. If there’s one NDE I believe (and I’ve researched HUNDREDS)… I believe Dale Black. I’m sad that Howard Storm’s testimony is even in this movie because I believe that anything even RESEMBLING aliens is part of the coming great deception and I believe that anything REMOTELY having to do with reincarnation is utterly false. Babies who get aborted don’t “get another chance at life”. They go to Heaven. Period. I’ve also never heard Howard Storm say anything like “Jesus is the only way to Heaven. If you don’t have Jesus, you will go to Hell.” Howard Storm also says that Jesus laughed at a somewhat crude joke that Howard made, and I don’t know if I buy that, either. I’m open to being wrong, but after listening to SEVERAL Howard Storm interviews, his experience just didn’t fully sit right with me. God correct me if I’m wrong, and I will totally repent. When I came to faith, I prayed to God to show himself to me and I found a book in my house about NDE's right after praying. My mom had lent it to me but it was collecting dust on a shelf...it felt very clear that God was using that book to supplement the other evidence I had learned through study of apologetics. The next day I took my son to see Lego Batman in the theater and felt God had a sense of humor...as Batman basically has an NDE, he's shown a summary of his life and realizes he's a "bad guy" focused on his selfish ambitions, and he is sent back with newfound purpose....all very similar to the NDE's I was reading about. I was probably the only one who left that moving crying. Having said that, I've never felt comfortable sharing this part of my testimony, as I've never been sure which NDE's are true...I do think the enemy could use them as a tool for deception so I try to filter it all through the bible.

      Your suspicions are correct. What if these kinds of experiences actually poke holes in your filter by coloring your lenses as you read and study your Bible? For instance, did Jesus say to the thief in the cross, you will be with me today in Paradise? Or did he said, Today, [while I'm on the cross, and I seem to be a failure and fraud, today] I tell you, you WILL be with me in Paradise? There's no comma in the Greek, so we have to decide. If we accept the common comma placement, and definitely if we accept NDEs, we'll take the first one. But, if we cross reference where Jesus told Mary that He had not yet ascended to the Father, then we are more likely to choose the second as accurate. Just keep in mind, your are not a neutral, objective observer. The things you read and watch react upon yourself and change how you think and reason and evaluate evidence. I believe this NDE stuff is all calculated to pull Christians away from their Bibles and seek answers from polluted streams.

She said she floated above her body and saw the doctors working furiously on her and thought it was amusing and curious. She said it was very bright as she floated upward, and then it was gone. It was nothing short of a miracle that both she and my sister lived. She never told anyone but us about this because she thought no one would believe her. God bless you, my young brother in Christ.

About 10 minutes later he suddenly sat straight up and shouted ," mommy". He later said that his dad , who had died about 4 years before, came to him and said he must go back and look after his mom and sister. He said that he had been floating above lovely green grassy fields and he felt to happy. Then his father spoke to him telling him to go back. Remember, he was only 12, so did not know very much about the bible and especially the 23rd psalm, although they were a Church going family. He was a bit young to take it all in, though.

    After listening to many NDE's experiences, reading many books and following many people commenting on NDE's for many years, personally I believe that when some people pass they are greeted by either Jesus/Angels or if not saved faced with the demonic and that reality BUT sometimes the demons will create a fake narrative and reality to focus in on their belief system and or to pretend to be an angel of light (satan appears as an angel of light, even to the living who play with spiritual darkness) - sometimes in these NDE's when people work out that this is what is happening spiritually, they will remember Jesus and call out to Him and at that point the demonic will reveal themselves and their true nature and Jesus either rescues the person to show them heaven or sends them back to earth.... but those who don't work that out keep their deceptive demonic NDE as a false truth/narrative that they were deceived in, then will go on to tell that deception as truth, not knowing any better.

      This we know
      Minus reliance upon God and faith in Christ;
      Millions believe Jesus died on a cross for our sins and that he's coming again.
      The devils believe and tremble; their fate is sealed. Don't be one!
      Adam failed to take God at his word
      Sin revealed; death entered the world and that changed everything
      Over 150,000 people die each day
      Death is no respecter of age;
      Death will take away everything you love in life from people to puppies
      The wages of sin is death.
      Death is evidence God meant what he said.
      Without controversy
      There's heaven to gain hell to shun
      Jesus says repent and believe the good news or ye will perish.
      Repent means don't play the hypocrite;
      A double minded man is unstable in all of his ways.
      Take God at his word and believe;
      Renew your mind; God will change your heart
      Paul the Apostle says And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the (renewing of your mind) that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
      Salvation begins in the heart;
      The Bible says the heart is deceitfully wicked
      God is love; God never created a robot; he will not violate our free will
      Of eternal life Jesus says and few there be who find it; "be one"
      Btw R U a good person?
      Of course not; only God is good; people need the Lord.
      Don't miss it for the world;
      born once die twice; born twice die once!
      1 Cor 15:51-52
      Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

    I didn’t have a NDE but I did experience him 11 years ago. He came through my window in a light form when I was going through depression anxiety/ intrusive demonic thoughts. I yelled at God one night after praying for about 3 months straight with no healing and suddenly around 7 am the very next morning after losing all faith he came through my bedroom window I did not see him physically, but I saw an orbit light that looks like a human form. It was moving closer and closer to me, as I was lying on the bed. Suddenly a hand touched my forehead, and I instantly knew it was Jesus because he spoke to me telepathically, and told me to repeat after him, although I did not hear his voice, but I knew that he said to repeat after him. This was not said out loud. This is all said telepathically. I then repeat it, and said, but Jesus, what if this is the devil messing with me instantly it came out of me like vomit. I started speaking a different language in my mind which now I know years later is called tongues instantly after speaking that language, the spirit went inside of my body and went from my head to toe. It was like a spirit of love like a river of love, the best feeling I’ve ever felt in my life, and now I will never dealt the presence of Jesus or God or heaven. I now suffer again from panic disorder and anxiety, and I am awaiting his healing yet again 11 years later, at the age of 31 and I know he will deliver me. I pray, for everyone going through something and continuing to stand strong and faithful in him and don’t give up because he will heal you, but it will not be on our time it will be on his time. I praise God every day for that experience I am so grateful I wish I could’ve heard his voice and seen his face, but what I experienced was supernatural an out of this world, unlike anything I could ever even explain clearly. ❤
    When I went to see this movie, they were explaining how they felt quotation a river of love an. His light was so loving and how they spoke telepathically to him it’s exactly what I went through, but I wasn’t dead. I was alive. I lived in North Carolina at the time. I’ll wait the day that I die and I get to ask him to show me again that day that he healed me personally.

Never experienced so many commercials before this movie. If you fear death or have lost someone it is a good movie to see. I pray that Jesus Christ opens all our eyes to truth before it is too late for any more of us. God Bless.

    I think you have to compartmentalize a film like this as an introduction into the spiritual for those who are beginning to ask questions. It's a good starting point to illustrate something comes after... and once they mature enough and learn more about Christianity they begin to understand that sometimes an NDE can be a lie by the enemy.

    I had an NDE in the OR. I was having a c section and I was given too much anesthesia. I knew I was not breathing and that I was dying. I was just entering into the Shadow of Death (darkness) when I asked God to let me stay. I had a 3 year old and now the new baby. I told God there is no one who can do for them what I can do. I actually told God they are all idiots and I want to raise my own children. Before long, I was resuscitated but I never forgot the experience almost 40 years ago. I was right about being surrounded by idiots, I just never knew how bad it was like I do now. I am relieved no one else raised my children for me.

He was covered with a sheet and we noticed some movement. I’ve also heard of stories of people who had NDEs who said that “beings of light” first met them and were leading them “to heaven” but as they progressed, the “beings of light” became progressively meaner and would bite them and call them derogatory names. For whatever reason, the person came back from their NDE to tell the story. It seems that the “beings of light” were actually demons, and the experience was intended to confuse a nonbeliever in Christ.

He provided a way out and a whole guide on how not to be tormented. But He will not override our free will. So if we choose to go on without Him, He'll respect our choice. He just wants to make sure we know what we will face if our choice isn't Him.

    I had 3 near death experiences. My brain has lost the ability to give the signal to breathe at night…. I am now dependent on an apnea machine when I sleep. I am always leery when people say that they see Jesus or heaven, etc. I know what Scripture says about seeing Jesus, or heaven etc. One thing I do know for sure is that I had to surrender to the fact whether I was going to live or die. I knew my life was in Jesus’ hands. Not literally. I didn’t see Jesus. I felt the peace, comfort, refuge, and love of Jesus….But I also felt the presence of Satan (demonic) … which didn’t scare me, because I knew I could trust the Lord to get me through the valley. (Not visual). Psalm 23 immediately came to mind. I didn’t have a “heaven” or “hell” visual experience. I got this feeling at one point when I realized I was going to live…. Something inside my spirit, (the Holy Spirit) impressed upon my heart, “don’t worry, I will carry you through it” (not audible). I knew that if I lived my life was not going to be easy….. My life flashed before my eyes on some level…. I knew the Lord knew all of me….the good, the bad, and the ugly…. I think that is when I realized and came to know the depth of mercy, love, grace that He extended to me. I believe during this time, it led me to a repentance. I felt people’s prayers for me….I knew that my life was not my own. Another weird feeling was that my Dad and brother who had both passed away were holding me up. Standing on each side of me. Here’s the thing, I didn’t see them….but felt their presence. Do I believe it was them? I am not going to put my faith in experiences. The Scripture about a great cloud of witnesses came to mind. Another weird feeling was that past, present, and future….felt like they were happening all at once. I can’t explain it.
    My faith in Jesus is unseen. My experiences of what I saw or experienced is not the object or subject of my faith. Jesus and His Word are. That is the only Truth I can stand on…..not my experience. My faith does not come from my experience. It comes from Jesus and His Word.
    There’s more to the story…. but I will leave it at that. It really is hard to talk about.
    Yeah, not sure if I want to go see this movie. Leery if they take the stance that people should believe other people’s experiences for heaven, as being the true heaven stated in Scripture….not people’s version based on their own belief system. Satan can deceive and come across as an Angel of light.
    I have siblings who have OBE’s.

    Thank you so much for posting this. I really wish I would’ve saw this before I saw the movie today. But to be honest, I already kind of knew some of the stuff you were talking about. I have been into near death experiences since I was a young kid. I think anything that explore the supernatural and clinical scientific way is really cool and needed. I myself am a queer Christian I go to church 100% try my best to live by Christ but not always by what the church says. But at the same time I do believe I’m a part of the church. And I do help out my local faith community with their website. I have had an uncle that has had a near death experience, and I believe at one time I had a near death experience during a dream. I personally loved the movie. It was very well produced and I like how the message wasn’t definitive in the main movie. I like how at the end they still ended it with a question. And they were saying stuff like it’s OK to be a skeptic. I know in the scriptures talk about testing the spirits and questioning everything if it does not line up with certain things. Also the profits and people of God always questioned God on things that he did, but he didn’t strike them down for that. I definitely think that the supernatural/the unseen universe is vast and diverse as we all are. And I think God can use anything to reach somebody. God bless you. Thank you for putting this out.

I kept waiting for that and didn’t see it. Of course maybe that was not the goal of the movie. Maybe it was just to make the skeptics aware that there is life after death. I’m not sure I could recommend it. I really appreciate this message and your perspective. I agree that people’s experiences may not actually be God induced.

They had to bring me back on the way to the hospital from what I was told. I went to a place as you described, endless black, no light. All I could do was think about my regrets. Right when I was sinking into despair I was pulled back into my body and was able to open my eyes. Already had felt like eternity though. I was so exited when I read the book by Raymon Moody who wrote about people having nde, when I was engagered in the occult. For me, at that time, it was just fuel to my false spirituel belief. Because none of them talked about sin or repentence. For me it just confirmed what I allready believed: that there was a spiritual world. So when I became a christian, by Gods mercy, I started to question nde, and I tried to find answers. Not many had spoken about this. But I found a few christians who had taken it on heart.
    One of the testimonies from a man who claimed to be a christian, was mixing christianity with the occult. As the bible tells us: test the spirit. One very clear indication of nde not being true, is when a person returns and still have no clue about what sin is.

    Several years ago, I read Dale Black’s book Flight to Heaven. It was such a beautiful narrative of his NDE, and so unlike the cheesy (unbiblical) stories of others I’ve read. From what I can recall, he never mentioned seeing his dead relatives, or anybody singing Old Rugged Cross while strumming on harps and floating on clouds with the rest of the “heavenly choir.” He wrote about the intersection takeoff that was chosen by the pilot in question, and the subsequent stall accident that was terrifying, along with the death of the two pilots, whom he did NOT see in heaven, but also never assumed that they are now in hell! He talked more about the sensations and emotions of his vision of heaven, without asserting that he was actually there in reality. I highly recommend his book. Couldn’t put it down.

And the end we gonna be with him as we don’t deserve it but he did it for us cause the end we don’t need to be in hell we needed to be in heaven but there’s ppl that’s never gonna see that way. Thanks for posting this. I, like you, have questions about the experiences many people have that report NDE's. As Christians we are taught from an early age that only through Christ can we experience the joys of eternity in the afterlife. As Christ says "I am the door no ones comes to the Father except by me". NDE's seem to contradict this as many others outside of Christianity share the experience and the afterlife. While this is a legitimate question I want to make sure the I am not looking through the same lens as the older brother in the prodigal son parable who is angry that his "sinful" brother has returned to the fold. I was troubled as a young person by the vast multitude of others seemingly condemned to Hell by a circumstance of their birth in another country or another faith system. I have reconciled my worry not by leaving the faith as some others have but by accepting the fact that I trust in a loving compassionate God who will always be just and fair. If the afterlife is populated with non-Christians as well as Christians I welcome them and have absolute trust that this is all part of God's plan!

    As a NDE experiencer when I was 14 years ago 43 years ago and a Christian, The Jesus I was taught in Church and the Jesus that braced me in unconditional love was so undeniably real, but I knew how we perceive with human eyes and human minds are what fundamentally anchor our beliefs, I know now that when I read the Bible, I have to see the message from a different lense, but human nature is to read into something without understanding the concepts of the spirit and body... Understanding that just because something is said in Allegory doesn't diminish its message.
    I'm not comfortable coming from the club house mentality of modern Christianity because much of God's word was left out of the Cannon by bishops for clear reasons... I'll leave it at that... everyone will have their moment in heaven to reflect on what and why they believed what they did. God Bless.

    I was listening to an NDE of someone recently (I forget their name, but they are a Christian now) and God showed them Hell. What the demons would often do when you get a new person in hell that might be resuscitated, they would create an illusion for that person to make Hell look a lot nicer (e..g the person thinks they are sitting in a green field). However that illusion doesn't last long as people soon feel the intense heat and bitterness of the place. The aim being that people that are revived don't realise just how bad hell is and then turn to God. So for the NDE's that go against the Bible, that is what I think is happening there.

    Very fair assessment. I haven't seen the movie yet but I certainly intend to. It was announced in my 229 year old Baptist Church in Petersburg, KY this morning in service

    I watched it today and I was impressed. The movie in the beginning talks about when Paul in the book of Acts was stoned to death but then came back to life.

    Ive spent the past two years looking into NDEs and many of them were not a specific religion in nature. If people are worried about seeing ones that are not Christian based then how secure can you really be in your beliefs? If you only want to know things that confirm what you want then you are purposely blinding yourself.

    Nice breakdown. The contradictions may come from a 3rd realm a lot of Christians overlook. Sheol or "Purgatory" or "Hades". This is the land of the dead pre-judgement and it is Biblical.
    I am really interested in the film and encouraged more by hearing someone so lucky to see it early and suggest it be watched. Thank you, brother. God bless!

    Watched this movie and was most definitely encouraged...
    I completely agree with your statements of what can be proven with fact and what is emotional and completely just the person's experience..I'm also very interested in OBEs and NDEs...seek first to understand the to be understood..I love Jesus and I believe his resurrection... come Lord Jesus

    I had an OBE during a car accident that could have caused my death. I didn’t tell anyone for some time. Scientists try to explain everything by saying neurons keep firing for awhile after everything else has stopped. I was told that my OBE was caused by the seat belt stopping my heart briefly.

    I have been through NDE's and numerous OBE's and the near death experiences were like the same thing but with a new set of glasses. The spirit can travel and it takes the non physical parts of your consciousness with it. It can go anywhere and there is so much to see, to experience, I think that's what I was before I came here. Just an explorer, a curious sprite with no concept of time that happened upon this little blue ball and took an interest in the goings on and decided to give it a go. I have seen the ineffable but nothing still compares to the mystery of what is within the light that I saw both times that I almost died? I could not enter it but it was like I was drawn into it no matter where I tried to go, it didn't seem bad but I think I just knew that there was no going back if I went into it. OBE's are different, the world, the cosmos and alternate realities are all possible to explore within this state but I have discovered caution because other people as well as beings that range from benevolent to evil reside within this realm of perception. The only thing that wards the darkness off that has ever worked for me is to call upon Christ for help. I'm not the churchgoing type but I do believe in him because I have seen him work and if he's real then God is and so are the denizens of hell as well as the angels so I humble myself before that given certainty. I didn't need or ask for proof beyond faith but it was nevertheless a gift. I am not afraid to die anymore, when my work is done here I think I get to go on to more awesome things. This body is cool but it's kind of like a space/environment suit, it's not me, none of the meaty bits are really me, I'm something else.

    I read some NDEs and DEs. Some stories say that demons fabricate things until God exposed their lies. So there's that.

    Your mind is connected to God in life and in death. The mind is the same thing as the soul...mind & soul, heart & soul, which survives the death of the body and brain. Once the brain no longer filters your mind, your knowledge expands along with your senses.
    Since your mind is connected to God, your death experience will coalesce with the life experience you had in your relationship with God before your death. Love God as much in life, as you will love him in Heaven. That was a major take away from my NDE.
