      Hmmm well it depends on driving style, preference, skill and experience. Like my car of choice for nearly everything is the AE86 but I have accepted it has some big weaknesses. Its ok though, I had fun :)

    Same as the other guy, I only found out that WMMT has this mechanic after watching your video. Tried getting used to it for like 2-3 times going to the arcade (I usually go once in 2 weeks at most), after getting used to it it finally helped me win back Osaka/Hanshin ring road crown in my venue against a RX8 (my favorite course after it was released the first time in the game; after several bad attempts and hitting traffic getting out of the U corner on the right we all see at the starting line) :) successfully pulled ahead at the narrow U turn on the left of the starting line and maintained a good ~40m advantage of the course, very useful tips! I feel like the best advantage is throttle control helps maintain speed better than simple 0/1 throttling? I do feel like with it I finally started to feel like my car (FD3S) flows better & faster in and out of corners like I see you and SOARS do.
    Also this especially feels very good to me since I only started getting back into the game a year ago after being a complete noob the last time I played it like 8 years ago.
    Onfe again, thanks!

    definatly hard to master, specifically when you havnt had any one to teach you tricks for your whole time playing.
    I learnt about throttle control when I visited the Philippines last year its like learning the game again.
    thank you for the video it sheds some extra light on throttle useage.

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      If you practice that into your driving style, you will not only do it without thinking but you will know how much throttle to put down or lift off with your chosen vehicle. The US cars, European cars, R34, Evo, R35, Silvia and various others rely on this method a lot more.
      I'm happy this video has helped a little more. Keep practising and you will beast it :D

    Causally played this game during MT2 and MT3. The scene here died due to our local arcade stopped at MT3DX+ or something like that along with everyone basically getting older. About half a year ago I came to find out our local Arcade got MT5. The scene here is only a shell of what it used to be, but its still fun. I always wondered how everyone got so good with their TA lines.

    Hi there. When it comes to drifting around corners, should I turn 1st to get my car on a certain angle before throttle controlling?
    For tighter corners like Red ones, I seem to brake too much before throttle and turning. Got any tips for engaging those tight corners like the ones in C1 Area, Sub-center(Ikebukuro) Area, Yaesu Area, Osaka Area etc.
    After I exit any turn, I just can't seem to keep the momentum going like those Super Hard players do. Any helpful advice on exiting?

    is it possible to not use brakes and just use throttle control on corners? what are the difference on braking and throttle control

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Matthew Cana Depends on the corner. Most red corners on Hakone require braking however the same cannot be said for C1

    • @Mattleads
      @Mattleads 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      so on c1 or any other maps you don't usually use brakes? only on mountain passes?

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Matthew Cana Most of the game involves highspeed cornering and upon turning the car will naturally drift, that's what most people do when going round. C1 In and Out only has one corner each where you have to brake a little

    • @Mattleads
      @Mattleads 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @govinlock8568

      Matthew Cana one of the most noticeable when you need brake in c1 is when you turning in junction from ginza to kandabashi (the turn when you select c1 inward in choice of c1 inward and nbl cw)

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm new to this game (I have played only about four or five times so far and only cleared 37 chapters in Story Mode with no loss), but from first few races I learned the basics ain't that far off from more realistic games such as GTR2 (of which I mostly play). In both cases, precise steering input and throttle are important. That's probably how I adapted to this game relatively quickly compared how I thought I would fare. I tend to get too conservative, though (due to being used to GTR2's physics), and when I try to play more aggresively, sometimes I hit the walls instead.
    Recently I bought a game titled _Loop Racer GT_ for PC, which looks like a WMMT Knockoff. I will see how similar WMMT and Loop Racer GT are and, if their physics end up similar to each other, I may use that knockoff game for practicing throttle control WMMT-wise.
    I definitely want to play well around Hakone and Hakone Taikan. I have clocked quite a lot of hours around Nordschleife in GTR2, so there's no reason to say I can't play well around Hakone. I'm not a pro at both, let alone playing like a high level / high-ranked and well known name like Max Verstappen in iRacing, but I don't want to look like a newbie forever either.

      ZT9 GT Well, in the real world, you would tend to slow, shift down, and turn as tight to the apex with all 4 tyres gripping.
      However on WMMT, most the time is turning first, THEN after the corner is cleared you shift down. It depends on the corner I suppose.

    Do you left foot brake? I used to....But I trained myself to right foot brake because in a real life situation, you have to spare your left foot for pressing the clutch....Should I left foot break when playing WMMT? From a 12 year old B6! ( btw the r34 is also my car)

    Hello Dante, its been a while since I battled you last time lol...I have a problem with my (CYFUI) Starion especially in corners...some corners I can perform well than other time attacks cars...but there's a problem...I realized that my car tends to lose too much speed on corners...I mean WAY more than R34...I'm a bit concern on the throttle control tho...does throttle control maintain a car's pace for better time attack or slower...all I know in my logic is less throttle causes less speed and therefore slower time attack...Can you sort it out for me please? Thanks...

    Im pretty sure throttle control only works if u know the road cause on several occasions ive seen ppl do this but dont know the track so they end up hitting walls

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of course you'd have to know the road first before you can throttle control. The track can never change but your approach can... only when repeatedly taking a corner can you know how much power/angle you need to make it work. This method greatly smoothens that so you can use the absolute maximum space for most amount of speed.

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually clear the turn then change gear. Hakone surprisingly requires not alot of gear changes throughout, usually on the red corners and some sharp yellow turns.

    I want to ask what car good at handling and speed in wangan. I see Many people like driving EVO9 or R32. got any better car can faster then this 2 car . I don't no which one?

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its mostly down to preference. EVO9's and Skylines are favoured because of their size and the FWD traction + grip make them hard to budge on the road, but they fall short a bit on their top speed. I drive the AE86 because I like its handling and size, however it can be pushed more easily by other competitors. So I'd say pick a car (or cars) and play to their strengths.

      The Superglorious Firstly, complete the story. Max out your car. After that it’s your choice in what to do. Race again ghosts for dress ups, complete story again to unlock more music/meters, Time Attack, anything. Maximise your options by getting your car maxed out.

      no this is my first time actually

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm, my 2v2 knowledge is quite basic. However, for the future, if you go to these tournaments its best to have a partner who you can team with. After awhile you two will know your styles and strategies without much effort. Find out if you are more a block/runner or a little of both, same for your partner too, then take advantage of both your strengths.
      If you are 2nd and partner is 1st, keep the other two at bay with some decent distance between you. Towards sharp corners, slow them little more and give yourself some space so you can clear the red corner without them pushing you out way.

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rebeccamara9988 Mostly focus on the throttle control. There’s not a lot of need to shift down unless your momentum/speed has dropped significantly or if you it into the wall. A lot of corners in the game don’t require any gear changing until after the turn is cleared

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha, don't worry you're not the only one. It maybe because your muscles aren't yet used to that kind of movement and your brain might be doing some guess-work ontop of that.
      It certainly takes practice. I started with letting go off the throttle, then I began to blend it with careful movement. If you keep going at it then you will instinctively know how much power to let go and put down :). Let me know how you get on dude :D

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joshua Concepcion Firstly, welcome to the game 😁.
      It tends to be after you clear the turn you then shift down (unlike real driving which requires shifting down BEFORE a corner). Manual is certainly be handy since it gives you more control. The most important thing to do is to glance at your speedometer and also in time you can tell by listening to you engine noise.

    • @DanteDevilDan
      @DanteDevilDan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ernest Chen Haha welcome dude! It depends on the corner and the course. You wouldn’t want to lower a gear for every single corner otherwise you’d lose a lot of overall speed.
      Depends on how confident you are in running and also listen to your engine’s rpm. After some practice, you will instinctively know what gear you should be from sound alone. Try cornering as fast as you can without changing afterwards, if you feel that your speed is good then remember that turn for next time. ☺️
