Front Disc Brake Caliper Stuck Royal Enfield Motorcycle

Front disc brake caliper was stuck to mounting plate sliding pins due to crystals on the sliding pins. Since the caliper did not move, only one pad was touching the disc causing weak braking. One pad was worn out. The sliding pins and their housing was cleaned and lubed, new EBC brake pads FA228 were installed and all is well.

No. It is correct the way it is. I will explain. ..... To put new pads into the caliper, you need to push back the brake pistons completely to make room for new ones. The new pads are far away from the disc initially. So the caliper can move freely when installed on the frame. At this point, the front brake lever at the handlebar is pumped (press and release - several times) to push the brake pads closer to disc. Then the pads rest on the disc and the caliper will show negligible movement. One has to make sure that there are no air bubbles in the brake fluid while adjusting for the new pads. I had shown it in another video for replacement of brake fluid.

When the caliper was not clean, it was stuck, it did not have any movement. Cleaning the caliper allows it to move freely. But then the brake needs to be adjusted.
After cleaning the caliper and putting new brake pads, but before the final adjustment of the front brake, the caliper had more free play. But after the brake is adjusted (by pumping the brake fluid), the brake pads are pushed closer to the disc so the caliper movement is less.
