WOW! Thanks for sharing these pics, brings back many good memories. Myself, brother and a couple friends used to help Paul and Ivan Barnsley in the mid to late 70's with their modified tractors every chance we could get. Went to pulls all over MD, the Buck, Fishersville, VA....those we great times.

Those were the best of times as a kid, because the tractors were what all us farm kids were running! Many times i pulled the three point while chisle plowing just to get the old 4020 to raise up like i was at "The Buck"!! LOL! Good memories! Thanks for showing the pics

Alot of these tractors were crude looking machines, but the engineering was awesome.

Recognized some of those tractors would come up into Pa. to pull.....was Forester Ford around in those days he could really build Fords to pull think their shop south of Harrisburg....Richard Lustic was big into Deeres from near us they still pull nationally, Jody Ross in our county was big into Internationals they still pull Nationally (Newer McCormicks now Guess everywhere you went were good pulling tractors in the days....today not many into it pulls have become real skimpy around here.

Thanks for sharing the good ole days, I've got quite a few pictures here somewhere of the 80's in the U.K with mostly pro stocks and a few modifieds. quite a few of those tractors are still around over there with many different owners over the years. Those old farm tractor classics like the 4000 Deeres and newer the IH's and several other makes still look good today with the safety cage and other improvements. To be honest the new gen tractors that are all huge plastic body panels big grill lights and wheels I have no interest in other than the tuning skills. They just look awful just like the stock ones do on dealer lots. It's kinda odd to me there wasn't any classic Masseys like 1100 up or Ford 8/9000 style tractors around then, when did guys decide to start pulling them more ?

I pull it in light limit super stock and some times light super stock. It is now 315 ci with two turbos, I put D17 sheet metal on it just to be easier for getting it on and off. The old sheet metal is in a shed.
