Thanks Dean. I'll be making these for family. Good starter project for beginners like me to practice turning skills without destroying expensive woods. Keep up the good videos. I love your presentation.
Hi again Dean, your in my Wood Turning group on Facebook and I've been spending way too much time this week watching your videos, lol. Hoping it warms up a bit in Iowa so I can stand in front of my little lathe and make a mess soon.
Great job with the tea lights. My grandson wants to come up for a weekend and learn turning… I think your LED tea light would be a great way to start him. What size branch (OD) do you recommend starting with? Keep it going and I’ll send you a picture of his tea lights when he comes up in 3 weeks… Great Job… thanks! By the way, where do I send the pictures?
Fantastic teaching videos I'm so glad I found your channel. Keep up the great work Dean Question: do the items you make using "green limbs" distort and crack when they dry out? Thanks Stevie, Scotland 🏴
Not much because I apply a coat of minwax antique oil or Danish oil as soon as I can after turning. This slows the drying process and virtually eliminates the cracking. Thanks for Watching!!!
Hello Dean, just watched the tea light video. What are u using for your textering tool? Lol just saw the part about the home made tool. Where do u purchase the bearing and what size Copper pipe? Thank you.
One small word of warning. Do not use actual candle type tealights in any wooden holder without a glass or similar liner. (Available from woodturning supply shops) Ordinary tealights easily get hot enough to set light to wood when they burn down, especially if coated in oils and finishes.

Hi Dean! I'm a beginner woodturner, and I was wondering, with the wood being so wet, how do you stabilize it after you turn it so it doesn't crack?
@@ryanakers1372 apply antique oil finish as soon as you finish turning
So pretty!
Thank you so much
