Wood turning - Tealight holder from Elm

  • In this video I turn a tealight candle holder from a piece of Elm. I style it after half a wooden barrel.

    I like the shape on the tea light holder and the idea of burning a ring either side of the band to stop seepage of the dye is a great idea. Will give that a go at some time is suspect. I also like those copper effect cups. I use those as well as I find they seem to go well with all sorts of wood. Thanks for uploading and stay safe.

      Hi Tom, not sure where you are in the world but in the UK we can get them from most Turners suppliers or eBay. Hope that helps, Dave

      Thank for the question. I don't have a video on the sander. It basically consists of a 50mm sanding pad from ebay. These have 6mm shafts so it has two bearing with 6mm central diameter and 6mm drill depth stop to hold it all together. Let me know if you want me to make a video to clear up any questions.
