Realm has an incredible design foundation, and it’s crazy that it was conceptualized by one guy using pre-made assets
I played some of the other games in Asemblee back then, they were amazing, Oryx (the artist) really carried the whole competition.

Wow... I remember watching that RotmgVulcan TH-cam Channel all the time back then. I never wondered why they posted frequently on the Realm builds and updates. I assumed they just loved the game, but just finding out now, they were one of the original creators! It makes me so happy now to see that they are still alive and great after not posting for 8 years. Rotmg has been one of the greatest games I had the fortune to grow up with and enjoy during my childhood, and I only hope for the best among the original dev team, DECA, and the wonderful content creators like sebchoof that keep this iconic MMO alive. Thank you for posting this interview. It really made my day 😁

Man ive been playing this game since 2011 and i loved the insight on how this game was made. The massive public tombs, rouge’s lining up on a wall taking turns hitting O2, and using Krazensky’s price guide to trade uts were some of my favourite things about og realm. These days along with the release of Lost Halls are without a doubt my two favourite time periods for realm. Loved this video. I do like the mention of how Kabam did in fact save the game with pets. They could of easily buried realm but they chose to keep it alive and I am thankful for that

@@eduardozanette9236 in the podcast they talk about it a little bit,the games still in alpha though. The gameplay is different though, if you like the genre you’d like the little bit of content GAS has to offer fasho. There’s hardly any players either unfortunately , I’ve seen up to 3 maybe 4 ppl on at a time

I can t believe after many years of work, hundred of hours over hudred of hours work, sweat just to make such a masterpiece. Fast forward some years they annouce something big, something well deserved after some little fails, but important progress. Realm Of The Mad God 2 will be a great game, a better well refined and polished with the previous experience and work from the last one. Such a passion of new players that will come and see that the microtransactions will not exist anymore. What a day to live in ladys and gentlemans.

This was awesome. I recently had a realm relapse myself, I had no idea the sprite creator was a part of destiny 2 and Bungie. Thats awesome because thats the game I was currently playing before I went back to realm. Good stuff Seb 👍

Rotmg reminds me of a mixture of Diablo, osrs, and the genre of roguelikes such as enter the gungeon nuclear throne etc. And it came out before that style of rougelike game. Such a great game.

Hello sebchoof I don’t want to be an ass kisser but , appreciate this shit bro! I’m a huge fan of the genre, and a huge not fan of DECA, my dream in gaming is for a better game in the genre to come out! And I just want to say keep up the good work! Your videos are good resources on information and discussion of the genre. And they could also bring a lot of eyeballs and attention to the community (let’s be honest which is much needed. This genre is so niche. If developed and maintained correctly I think a realm like could be the next Fortnite or genshin of impact) You’re doing gods work! And by that I mean you’re doing permadeath bullet hell mmorpgs work xd
