FYI - The reason why people line up to the right side more commonly (so hence line up on the left to avoid a longer line) is not because most people are right handed, it's due to the country's structure of organising people. Example in the USA, you drive on the right hand side, escalators normally opporate on the right side, in/out lines to the right, entry to the right etc etc. Whereas countries that generally drive on the left hand side, also have other aspects of organising people like escalator located on the left or in/out lines to the left, entry to the left etc etc. There is always an exception, but generally speaking. Example in Australia everything is to the left ie roads, lines etc etc, however some city major tourist attraction can have things like escalators to the right to accomodate majority of tourists who are used to it being on the right. So in Australia, the right side is normally the fastest because people gravitate to the left.

Here's another hack! Wear long sleeve shirts and make sure its thick. If the place your going to is hot, pack short sleeves and change in the toilets! That's what I did.
