- This is a complete playthrough of Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo (also known as パーパズルファイターII X), a game by Capcom.
Some things to be noted:
- I play at the hardest difficulty level;
- I play with a "2 rounds out of 3" victory rule to show more gameplay (I thought about doing "3 out of 5", even, but it probably would have been too much);
- I play as Sakura because Sakura is awesome;
- I'm well aware I can beat many levels much faster than I do, but I like to create big power gems and set up long chain reactions, so I take some time to perform nice things in most levels;
- Despite the fact that she appears with the "here comes a new challenger" notice, Devilot is controlled by the CPU and not by a human, she is triggered between the sixth and the seventh match as an additional challenge when the player is good enough;
- This is NOT Tool-Assisted, I just love this game and I'm good at it.

Decent game but my god the difficulty is just absurd. Halfway it’s just not possible unless you’re a true master. But man the Ai just goes crazy with no way to counter
To be honest, I like the playstyle, prioritized on 2-Chain or 3 while not rushing.
Sakura's theme in this is really a banger

Yeah, although Crystal Crisis is sort of a spiritual successor, and it is available on the switch. Doesn't have the same beloved characters, but plays pretty similarly.

Yes! Since the drop pattern of your opponent is known, you can set up the appropriate colors in the appropriate columns in advance

Well, there is a reason for him to be the final boss, he is meant to be hard to defeat, his drop pattern doesn't leave much room for gem creation, but you should try to learn its bottom row. Also sorry for the extremely late reply, I had a couple of bad days

@@thetreyceratops It made sense though. Sonic was as big as Mario in the 90's, and the Mega-Drive/Genesis already had Columns, a pretty good match 3 game that came bundled with many compilation cartridges (typically, with the purchase of the console itself).
"Why would I buy another game like this? I have Columns already!" - that would be a legit thing to say in the 90's. Games were extremely expensive back then, and piracy was not a big thing with cartridges. Kids would typically have between 10 and 20 games. You just didn't get 2 puzzle games back then, unless someone slapped Sonic on it.
EDIT: Oh, and this blows Columns out of the water, and is 100% a worthy game to get. I'm glad I didn't miss it. So there you go!

I've played this game when I was young but this is the first time I'm seeing the true competitive side of it (even against a cpu) it's truly fascinating and awesome to see! I cant help but feel so enamoured by the way you counter every attack, and the fact you've memorised all the counter patterns. It's so impressive to me

Was really disappointed to find this game not functioning on my kinhank 2TB HD... It might be in a different emulator... Worst case I have the disc for PS so I will transfer it over...

I was called here by Puzzle Kombat found in Mortal Kombat Deception for the PlayStation 2 & Mortal Kombat Unchained for the PSP. I have this game on the PSP as part of Capcom Puzzle World (which is a ture port according to Retro Core), and the HD Remix version on the Xbox 360 (which is backwards compatible to the Xbox One).
Was finally able to play this game with a color blind patch. It was the GBA version, but still good. I finally feel as if I belong now.
That's the kind of news I like to hear, glad to know that such a patch exists!

If some of you really like this game and want to get into VS. Puzzlers I can recommend PuyoPuyo games and this game Puzzle Fighter on fightcade ( www.fightcade.com ), they're both really good as games and in terms of community... Puzzle FIghters' community on fightcade is *hardcore* though.

The coin sound effect in this game is similar to the one from the first 3 Street Fighter II games (for CPS1).

There is also a native pc version if you don't want to get your hands dirty with emulators. I have that version too but it's inferior to the arcade one, sadly.

When will Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix be backwards compatible?
If a game like this was made these days, I think there would be an outrage. The gameplay might be good, but this is basically the only time we got an outright Street Fighter x Darkstalkers and it's not a serious fighting game. So sad.

1 vs 1 on a laptop (or any computer, really), yes, it's easy.
However, I know nothing about smartphones, so I can't answer your other question.
I remember Capcom used to have a Capcom Arcade app on the App Store which had Street Fighter, Final Fight, Puzzle Fighter, etc to play, but they got rid of that app a long time ago

Download Final Burn Alpha and then look for spf2t.zip on Google, I can't give you detailed directions because emulation is a gray area at best
