If I remember correctly, Captain Commando was the first video game in history to depict people getting cut in half. This game had the same level of shock value when it came out that the first Mortal Kombat had.

Captain Commando is pretty average by comparison. If you add in console beatem ups like Streets of Rage 2 and Guardian Heroes it falls even further. Hell I probably enjoyed "Undercover Cops" more. Thought it's only 2 players.
A great arcade beat-em-up, especially with more than 1 player. If only Capcom could have made Carol (or Brenda) a playable character in one of the Marvel vs. Capcom games.

Those names seems changed. Mack the knife, Babyhead and Ginzu. Played this in my teens in the arcade with my friends and one of thd best 4 players game. Used almost the same tactics in game and bosses stage 20+ years ago. Doppleganger stage is the hardest. Babyhead or hoover is running around too much. Stick to your own lane! Still, one of the best playthrough of CC.

They should put Captain Commando in Smash. Though I fear that he’ll get the same treatment as Hero and Terry from Smash fans who want characters like Waluigi.
