I love this pedal so much. A screen would be amazing , but it still use it more then my timeline or el cap. Sonically the best, and the versatility is unmatched. If you’re into ambient textures on guitar , synth, pretty much anything. This is for you Hahaha the band I’m in even uses it on drums. Hahah
Yes, the digital delay has that mode. But if you are searching for a super wide stereo effect I would also recommend the Meris LVX or Polymoon. Both offer an incredibly broad stereo width when needed.
@@limbicbits Superb demo! Thanks! 👍 But isn´t the Empress super wide when going left/right mode and like with two different algos? In what what way are the Meris ones wider?
Hello, if it's not too much bother, would you mind explaining to a complete beginner what I would need to do to connect the Echosystem to an Argon 8 Extended KB and interact with a DAW (like Reaper). Would I need an additional Audio Interface? Certain cables? Thank you in advance if you have time to reply!
I think if your audio interface has 4 inputs/2 stereo, you could connect the outputs of the echosystem to the audio interface inputs. Any instrument/sound source that is plugged into the echosystem, should show up in your daw. Or you could connect everything to your audio interface inputs, connect the main outputs of the audio interface to the echosystem inputs, and then connect the echosystem outputs back to the audio interface on a different channel/set of stereo inputs. Then in your DAW, running through your audio interface, create a track and on your track, choose the input number that matches your audio interface. For example, if echosystem is connected to inputs 3+4 on your audio interface (for stereo), then selecting inputs 3+4 as your track input channel, will give you the signal from the echosystem into your DAW. I will be attempting something similar soon. Alternatively, may find it better/easier to incorporate a mixer. But perhaps not..
Well, I sort of have only one as I needed to return the Echosystem. But as much as I like both, I'd pick the Echosystem as an allrounder and the Zen Delay as a more specialised unit which is better for live-applications
Thank you so much! ☺️ Both seem awesome… I have a NTS-1 for some basic stuff but not sure I really need something better but it’s always cool and it seems that both of these are very good ☺️
Very nice atmospheres you've built! I'm about to get your Korg Modwave soundset :) Regarding Argon8, despite being more limited in features, do you prefer it to Hydrasynth?
Tbh - I've just had my first contact with the ASM Hydrasynth. So far I like it but it would be too early for me to answer that question. I do prefer the Modwave over the ARGON8 though as I find the modwave to sound beefier and at the same time it delivers a nice 90s vibe I like a lot. But that's a matter of taste, after all.
@@limbicbits Gonna remember to ask you when you'll get comfy with Hydrasynth. I deeply love my Modwave, just searching in the market another wavetable flavor to pair it with... Currently evaluating Hydrasynth, Argon8 and Waldorf Microwave XT. Outside of wavetable synthesis I'm thinking about Wavestate :)
I was really debating between the Modwave and the Argon 8. I grabbed the Argon, one reason being their app works on multiple platforms, including iPad. I will check out your Modwave videos though. I’ve only had the Argon for 2 weeks, and I still have an option to exchange. I got the 37-key version, and it is pretty good. I do wonder if I missed out by not grabbing the Modwave though. If Hydrasynth Explorer were available right now where I am, I definitely would have gone for that. But I might just get the 49 key version next year.

came for the delay, stayed for the wavetable synth riffs.. I've never even considered the argon before this vid,, digging the sounds and playing!
The Echosystem is a real studio beast, it's like a 4-digit multi-fx unit built into a pedal! I love mine

Hello, thanks for the great demo !!
One question : does the pedal have a stereo pan delay effect ?
I think Zen delay does. Thanks

Thanks for your answer, Polymoon looks really awesome, but with some hidden function. Erika Zen looks great to me !

Erica Synths Zen is also a great unit.@@hordmusic

hello are you happy with your Empress Effects Echosystem ??? i want to buy it..... thanks
For me, it’s the best Allrounder currently available. Excellent sound quality and considering the features at a fair price, too
