@@xisotopex The Argon seems more suited to pads and 'softer' sounds, but can certainly go hard if you want it to. The Cobalt is the other way around so is likely more suited to hard and industrial/techno stuff I suppose. It also has a more interesting set of filters to play with compared with the Argon. They both have identical effects sections. Hope this info helps! I have both, and they both very much serve a purpose - despite the physical similarities, they are really 2 very different synthesisers.
Nothing in concrete, just a chord progression that came to my mind and that I liked. But it’s quite simple so I’m almost sure that this has been used by other artists in the past, too
Do you still prefer ModWave to Argon8? Trying to decide, which to get. One thing that seems cool os the drift function to randomly detune the oscillators. Have you been using it in your patches?
Hi Peter, yes I still prefer the modwave but Argon8 also has quite a unique sound. So it's more a matter of taste, I guess. And yes, I also used the drift function. This feature is also available in the modwave, but a bit hidden in the menu. When using the software editor, it's quite accessible, though.
@@limbicbits Oh, that’s great. Do you remember what it’s called in the software? You’ve described in another comment modeave giving you that 90s vibe, which I also like. What about Argon8 in terms of the sound taste? Thanks in advance
@@piotr803 In the middle left side, you can find a section called "common pitch". There you've got "random". Argon8 has an overall more smeared undifeined sound which can be cool for pads but can also be a bit annoying as it's hard to get rid of that.
@@limbicbits Thanks :-) that's perfect. it'd be really cool if Random was also available through the front panel, but access via app is all right as well :-) Yeah agreed. I think the smeared sound is fun as long as that's what you want. That's useful to know!

Argon has a divine sound. The GOD level.
These are excellent. Makes me want to buy a Argon8m again.
Just bought them - as always, some brilliant work from Limbic Bits, you bring my synths alive. Please do a pack for the Modal Cobalt now!
Cobalt will certainly follow but it might take 3-4 months
whats the difference between the argon and the cobalt? which one do you prefer?

What is that song @ 18:47? You did it with Kyra patch "Zombi".
