    Well, at least you knew what you were getting into before you got it. If I moved into a house, and it had one of those machines, I'd keep using it until it broke, then replaced it with a proper laundry set. It's not terrible, but it's also not great. Like you said, it will have to do for now. I know that once you do get the Speed Queen, you will be very happy with it.

      That's what I'm doing. I'm saving up for the Speed Queen's now.

    I have several suggestions:
    1. Use the Bulky/Bedding Cycle on your washer. This cycle uses the most water.
    2. Use the Extra Rinse Option/2nd Rinse Option on your washer. This setting makes laundry even cleaner and removes soap residue.
    3. Use Warm or Hot wash water. Use Cold rinse water.
    4. Add 1/2 cup (4 ounces) of baking soda to the wash water along with your detergent. The baking soda softens the water and deodorizes your laundry.
    5. Add 1/2 cup of 5% acidity white vinegar to the fabric softener dispenser or to the final rinse cycle. The 5% acidity white vinegar softens your laundry and dissolves soap residue.
    6. Use wool dryer balls in your dryer. The wool dryer balls fluffs your laundry and reduces drying time.
    Good Luck!
    PS: I suggest using a Downy Ball! They are sold at the grocery store!

    The banging is either the drain hose bouncing against the back, or the side wall bouncing against the dryer, or both. Give it like a half inch of clearance next to the dryer and get a cheap piece of foam pipe insulator to buffer the hose. There's no reason it should ever sound like that.

      @EmersonCollie  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @kingofspades531 It was the drain hose. At the time this video was made was also the first time using it. The has been corrected since then, and the noise is gone.

    I had this Whirlpool model, except mine was permanently an agitator. It was OK. Washed clothes, albeit it seemed to be a little too rough on my permanent press shirts, enough to the point where I recently sold it and bought a mint 20 year old USA-made Kenmore 90 series Elite washer for cheap. That's what I should have done in the first place. Maybe you should look into that route as well. Especially for saving money!

      Also, that load sensing cycle takes up so much unnecessary time!!!

    not impressed with the water action during the wash part spin was ok. but nothing works as good as the old washers do

    Nice Whirlpool washer, but the sound of the spin cycle would make anybody think that it is borderline on it's last leg. Yet this is the very first initial test of it, thanks for sharing this with us! As you said in this video, let's see how long it will last. Great Video!

    I think the vacation condo I was at last summer had the same washer but not the same dryer. The dryer was an older GE model.

    I washes like the GE Hydrowave washers, with the long, slow agitation strokes.

    Like you mentioned, at least dryers have stayed relatively consistent, at least in how they actually run. The washer, well, that's about what I was expecting.

    We’re going to be swapping out our nearly 10 year old LG washer and dryer (not broken, just want something that performs better). Based on comments in this video and the last one, I guess Speed Queens are the best things out there right now?

    • @maxbubbles6009
      @maxbubbles6009 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Speed Queens are good, but they are also pretty small. Their front load washers are only 3.5 cu. ft.

    Has any one come up with any help getting the WTW4957PWO replaced or recalled. The machine is total garbage. Does not circulate the clothes in the drum whatsoever. Tried every size loads and every soil, water level and deep rinse cycles possible. I have spent hours on hold or with whirlpool customer service. I have had the guy come out five times now and nothing improves.
    I am going to call whirlpool again tomorrow and see if i can get them to replace this washer. I won't get the same model i know that!! I am going to write every forum and blog possible and keep hammering at any whirlpool care line or email i can send to. I am going to also let any big box or appliance store that they should refuse to sell this machine and maybe others also that don't stack up for cleaning clothes.

    My older sis used to have a washer similar to that but I think the capacitor blew up on it, it wasn't washing right anymore.

  • @ItzYaBoyJesse
    @ItzYaBoyJesse 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If that washer gets to where it's not agitating right, then the capacitor is bad. I've seen that happen to someone's washer before.
