Thank you for the video... I got a lot of help from a couple of the comments below...like pressing the Prewash button to advance from C5 to C06 and it continued just fine. Also to the lady that posted the steps of Drain Spin, No Spin, Then the Prewash button within 12 seconds to start the Diagnostics. I love TH-cam. My HE3T was leaving my. clothes sopping wet...only 3 coins in the trap...going to try a small load of the rags I used to clean up after checking the trap. Wish me luck.
My He3 does not get passed c01, once it gets to c01 it stops and starts flashing FH. The inlet water screens were clean, it does fill up when I do try to do regular wash. my pressure switch works and there is no crack in the hose and the air trap is clean. My water flow device spins freely, it might be that the sensor on the water flow is faulty but i do not know how to test that, yet I dont think that is that is the problem.
Mrs Doyle, My HE3T has been stuck endlessly on c:05 I replaced the pump and cleaned the drain and supply line. What was the Fix? PS were you getting the SUD and then F2 code..? That's where I am stuck. Anything you can remember please.

Question: What are we expected to see during each test (ie. Pass or Fail, how do we know?). If it doesn't go from 1 test to the next test after several minutes is that what we're looking for as a Fail? Also, appears these instructions also work for the HE4(t) model Kenmore Washing machines too.
I have the Kenmore Elite HE3T. I cleaned the drain trap and ran a couple of other steps as directed. But, it still failed with F 06. I ran diagnostics and on step 4 it made a loud clicking/rattling noise. I ran the diags again and no noise. Now it's working.

My girlfriend says she thinks she lost a bra underwire in the laundry. I was wondering if that found its way somewhere it shouldn't have been and worked itself out but, I haven't seen it.
Ours is either the motor (what I'm banking on) or a bearing gone out.... It def won't hit spin cycle.....well....after a few hours on TH-cam and google I think I'm good too go as far as taking the entire thing apart and fixing anything that's wrong with it lol.... Gotta live good ole TH-cam university

Susan DeNagel c5 is a heater test.. some models dont have it but the test mode is universal for a models.. just press pre wash to manually advance from c5 into c6 and it should continue into it finishes in c8

I'm sure you already dealt with the problem by now but for anyone watching this video recently: 1) Push the "drain/spin" button. 2) Set the spin speed to "no spin". 3) Push the "prewash" button 4 times. The display will show C:00 and begin the diagnostic test.
It may also screech if there is a hole in the bellows that goes between the washer tub and the door. If rocks or coins go through the washer sometimes they can rip a hole in the bellows. It's not that bad to replace it yourself though.
@@84regalboi81 It looks like it should only go a short time. Mine kept going indefinitely on C05. One of the other comments noted if C05 continues, you can press prewash to get it to advance to C06. I did that and the first time it didn't advance. After waiting about 10 to 15 seconds, I pressed prewash again, and it immediately switched to C06 and started draining. Then it went through all the subsequent codes promptly and after completing C08, it just stopped and turned off.

The diagnostic mode process will take up to 30 minutes so CO5 will take up to 30 minutes

"screathcing" like a jet airplane sound when in the spin cycle? If so, then bad bearings
It may also screech if there is a hole in the bellows that goes between the washer tub and the door. If rocks or coins go through the washer sometimes they can rip a hole in the bellows. It's not that bad to replace it yourself though.

Sounds like your heater is not closed....you may have a OPEN heating element.
