Not useless. Now the 444 cells can be removed and used for 5-10 e-bike packs. No cells were damaged in the making of this video

I calculated the current based on the fuse wire's size and the approximate time it took to blow them. It was at least 2,700 amps, for 500ms or less. A 4awg wire was used.

Thanks for this video! It feels good to see that it really works!

The problem now is how do you solder or spot weld or whatever new fuse is on to make the battery good again, I did this by accident on one module and now have a perfectly good module with many blownfuses,

Cool video. I would never be brave enough to do that to one of mine. But I like to video great job.
I love these modules and use them in all of my projects. Including electric street bikes and dirt bikes.
I just hope these are not the individual cells I just purchased LOL.

Um.... no... that will KILL that battery. The fuses are built into the battery (as you probably know) and the tabs will burn off.

Hello, I am interested in information about the bond wires. Can you tell from which material these are and measure the diameter? thanks in advance

How hard is it to get the individual cells out of the case?

Interesting but why do it? why render the batteries useless? you had plenty? :)

We have been removing cells for a long time from tesla modules. We wanted to see what would happen. We had a good idea they would just pop the fuses, but it was even less amazing than we thought it would be.
Once we had blown all the fuses we rip off the aluminum bus bars and remove the cells.

If you're trying to blow something up it's quite a bad idea to keep your face 2 feet away from it.
