- JBK - Jansen Barbieri Karn perform 'Life Without Buildings' at the Astoria 2, London 1997. Featuring Steven Wilson on guitar. I am stood right at the front by Mick Karn. this was without doubt the most amazing display of musicianship that I have ever witnessed live. the audio for this was terrible but I was able to use the Medium Sampler cd to import the much cleaned up version. hope you like it. Incredible stuff. love and respect to them all x

Mick Karn, what a musician he was. Instantly recognisible. Whoever it is that controls what people he takes, Karn was taken far too early and had so much left to give.
I really love this.... I went Japan tour at Tokyo when I was Jast a music freak little girl, but they doses not play this one and then broke up Japan.... Thank you for your share this JBK's.
Dang.. I thought this was the band "Life Without Buildings".
That would have been a better name then JBK. :-)

sadly no. I was at the gig at least which I'll never forget. I just managed to get 5 tracks from a fellow fan some years later and as no one else has shared them on here I thought I should
+kingscoop Well thanks for doing it, I've not seen most of these. I was there too, at the front by Mick (I swear I can see the top of my head in a couple of shots!)
The reason I ask is that there was a rumour at the time that JBK had had the gig filmed for a possible release. Then (so the rumour goes) the guy who shot the video started distributing it without permission, which caused JBK to shelve the idea. I live in hope that one day that footage might appear.

I was right at the front too. I stood right by Mick's saxophone stand while we were waiting for them to come on. I can see my the back of my own head on all of the tracks
