Angela going back for the impossible pull out of pure awkwardness, AND NAILING THE F OUT OF IT will go down as one of the most iconic moments of the year.
Charlie Penn's story arc from unassuming, mourning author struggling with writer's block, to "THE NAUGHTY/NICE LIST DOESN'T APPLY TO ME ANYMORE, I'M SANTA I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT".
I know this was accidental, but it is actually a really good arc, a lot of foreshadowing showing that he is a bad writer and just dose not have it in him anymore, the first thing we learned about him is that he is extremely sad, in part 1 it was almost his entire personality, so meeting Santa inspires joy in him, and he becomes the embodiment of joy
My favorite unintentional magic of this is that this ends with Shayne’s character “writing” The Santa Clause and Angela saying the star should be someone who loves tools but Amanda’s character being named Scott (Tim Allen’s character’s name in Santa Clause) and Shayne’s being Charlie (Scott’s son)
Angela rather risking DEATH with such a swift pull than sitting through the awkwardness of rejection is one of the *Smosh Moments of all time* - The rejection talk transported her somewhere mentaly. 😭

He's played hours with Amanda at this point. In every dread she has some sort of parental history for him to play off, I'm sure he had something on lock just waiting! It's amazing.
@@notjelo also how Amanda improvises that Scott remembers Carol being the best at soccer, then Charlie Santa proves he’s Santa by revealing he knows Scott got a soccer ball for Christmas one year, and Amanda uses that and turns it into a representation for Scott’s repressed feelings over not being allowed to pursue his passion for soccer. Thus accidentally expertly explaining why Scott would’ve taken note of Carol’s soccer skills as a kid

Hi, I'm Vishnu, a smosh fan from Kerala. It's been only 6 months since I started to watch smosh, the reddit stories and the Shayn guesses on the smosh games channel brought me into the smosh lore. Before I got introduced to smosh I never understood why the west is so obsessed with online personalities and their life, now I do, not their personal life ofcourse but now I do feel like I'm part of their group. Each upload makes me feel like I'm hanging out with my friends. TH-camrs have been putting quality videos and shows better than any tv channel and smosh is at the peak for providing entertainment content. I wanted to share this for a while. Shayne having chanta immediately throw a ninja star when faced with Heinrich is so hilarious, you can tell George had a whole speech planned and then had to change it when Shayne pulled a successful block😭😂
I really think Smosh Games has hit the sweet spot for the type of roleplaying/improv for their channel in particular. While I loved Sword AF, it really was an outlier for the channel-- it felt like the natural follow-up to Legacy, but Dread is honestly a much more fitting evolution. You'd think all the randomness in DnD would give them more freedom for improv, but when every choice and decision has a random outcome, you end up more chained to the game itself. I still do miss Legacy and have rewatched it multiple times-- I don't know if there are any other games that run like that version, but if so, what a treat to see!

@@Robcobes I understand your point but like someone above said, George knows how chaotic the group is, especially Angela lol. And he worked with it, he turned a straight up rejection from her failing at first, to then giving Angela's character a chance after she made the pull
I'm honestly so shocked that the ONLY death their was this time was because of a self-sacrifice omg . THIS ONE WAS SO FUN AND I LOVED THE ENDING SO MUCHH ,I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT DREAD !!!!
My husband and I genuinely want to start watching this every year. I hope there is another holiday themed one next year (following more earlier in 2025 hopefully!) But I genuinely loved this so much we are talking about making it a tradition to watch this every year around Christmas time!! Long live SANTAAAA!!
I love how it’s only after the fact Shane shoves Scott ornamente’s father off the sleigh that past Santa is like “You know, you gotta go back for the naughty, they were nice at one point” and he goes “you’re so right” while not regretting anything he did to the father 😂
Watching these types of videos at first felt a little weird since its all kind of up to your imagination.. but honestly the way George narrates it and guides the story, the way the editors add the ambiance, and the cast gets into the roles and has fun with it makes it very easy and mesmerising to get into it and visualise everything. These videos are INCREDIBLE. Cant wait for more. Genuine 10/10
Dread is such a fun escape for me, and I’m sure others can relate. This holiday season is particularly tough for me and I can only imagine how many people feel the same way. Smosh does such a good job of truly embodying characters that look nothing like them, have different personalities, etc. George is such a good storyteller that I’m lost in every detail. Thank you for providing a fun and entertaining show for us! Thank you to the people on screen, and everyone behind the camera! Directors, supervisors, editors, all of the above. I wish you all a very happy holiday season!
Very relatable comment. Basically said everything I wanted to say but couldn’t. I hope you’re able to find some happiness this holiday even though it’s hard.
I love the hard cut going from Scott and Carol expressing their feelings about each other to Charlie literally watching the 2nd most traumatic thing happen to him as Santa gets stabbed in the gut by a spear. Also the twist that Charlie gets all of Santa's powers after his heroic sacrifice, best Hallmark movie ever.
the way that dread stories are always able to mix the cutest little traditional stories with the most epic shit ever is exactly the reason i love dread so much
I am gagged. This has been my favorite Dread so far. I was personally a Charol fan, but that ending got to me. I think it is also perfect that Charlie became Santa. Great, great series guys :)
The absolute brilliance in Nick's act of sacrifice, inadvertently pushing Charlie over the edge, giving us the gift of Shayne's unhinged Santa. Pure perfection. 😂
angela feeling so embarrassed by carol being mid rejection that she pulls a block THAT FAST is so funny 😂 (i would absolutely do the same, i was cringing so hard)

@@frankjohnson123 I hadn't even realized I misspelled it! But yeah it was reckless to try but went off without a hitch so it was wreckless as well lol
I think it was kind of disrespectful to interfere with the game master like that
@@Robcobes It's all about who they're playing with. George knows them and how chaotic they are, he's so good on his feet he just took it and ran with it. It would depend, there's probably some games where that would be disrespectful that's why it's important to be checked in to what the ppl on the table are comfortable with
@@Robcobes I understand your point but like someone above said, George knows how chaotic the group is, especially Angela lol. And he worked with it, he turned a straight up rejection from her failing at first, to then giving Angela's character a chance after she made the pull
I'm honestly so shocked that the ONLY death their was this time was because of a self-sacrifice omg . THIS ONE WAS SO FUN AND I LOVED THE ENDING SO MUCHH ,I CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT DREAD !!!!
that's the magic of christmas. can't wait for next year's Smosh vs. Krampus
43:28 I’m just realizing the added layer of comedy in the fact that Charlie is the name of the son of Santa in The Santa Clause
Guy leaning in to kiss Charlie after he lost Carol has me losing it lol 💀
I listened to part one three times. Things have been rough, and it was really soothing background noise. I love you guys.
the amount of work i got done while having it on in the background is crazy
Aw, I hope things start looking up for you. Wish you the best, stranger. ❤
@@arcadiabutterfly there was no way I could get anything done bc I was LOCKED in the whole time lmao
@@rhettmitchell The first time, I actually sat and watched it. The other two were background noise.
@@deceptivebark671 Thank you.
The way I was tearing up at Pop's sacrifice speech and the poor reindeers grieving their Santa 🥹
why are there tears in my eyes over the reindeer realizing Pop died😭😭
My husband and I genuinely want to start watching this every year. I hope there is another holiday themed one next year (following more earlier in 2025 hopefully!) But I genuinely loved this so much we are talking about making it a tradition to watch this every year around Christmas time!! Long live SANTAAAA!!
I love how it’s only after the fact Shane shoves Scott ornamente’s father off the sleigh that past Santa is like “You know, you gotta go back for the naughty, they were nice at one point” and he goes “you’re so right” while not regretting anything he did to the father 😂
The thumbnail is telling me shits gonna go down in this next episode 🤺🤺
GGAAAUUHH I WONDER WHO DIES!! 😈😈😈
@AkariRikaribut why the fencing emojis lol
Man, this whole thing could be the greatest Christmas movie of all time
Scott had so many Hallmark movie death flags I did NOT think he'd make it 😂
Smosh dread has truly become my favorite series that smosh has introduced, seriously cannot wait for the next story
Genuine 10/10
if Guy Wood and Carol don’t end up together I am going to be SO UPSET
i need carol and charlie, they're end game to me
@@jennydoodah14agreed
Mary's ex deserves a happy ending
Nahhhh Charlie still isn’t over Mary, Guy Wood and Carol belong together
Fr
@ thank you, I appreciate it! Happy holidays to you :)
lowkey need guy & carol then it leaves charlie & scott free to do enemies to lovers
Litttt
best idea
YUPPP i second this
Literally what I was rooting for the whole time lol
I was rooting for this but also even Guy and Charlie would be nice maybe I just want a gay couple in it 😭🤣
If we don't get a sequel to this next Christmas I'm rioting
I love how Amanda’s character trope is “my parents are so shady and I don’t even know yet” for dread games
i love the recurring bit that amanda’s characters parent is always a villain in dread
34:59 “hi im poor” i love angela
angela feeling so embarrassed by carol being mid rejection that she pulls a block THAT FAST is so funny 😂
(i would absolutely do the same, i was cringing so hard)
Such a sweet moment between the Balloon Operator and Charlie
Balloon Operator: Sorry about your ex
Charlie: WHAT THE F*CK?!
Hilarious call back to last episode 😂
Hearing Spencer and Alex laughing in the background is SO CUTE
I love Chalie Pen´s character development, that was fantastic!
This is by far my favorite dread series you guys have done so far. George is an amazing DM, Nick was incredible and the Smosh cast killed it as per usual! I hope we see more of George and Nick in the new year!
Let’s be fair Guy Wood definitely deserves all the happiness with Carol. If you can build a car in 45 minutes, you automatically win.
Standardly too
Yeeesssssss
i love how nick showed a much more expanded view on how to set the environment on a turn and love how they got the idea and incorporated that type of thought into their turns as well!
1:18:16 Charlie pushing the pastor off the sleigh has me in tears!!!
Guy risking his life with that insane pull and not ending up with the girl is diabolical 😭
