exactly. the jokes are funny specifically because you can tell he doesn't genuinely hold any of the beliefs that typically go hand in hand with "edgy" humor.
i think it's also like this: by making those jokes, the actual joke is him, or the person who would say such a thing, not the people who are targeted in the literal joke. The gentlemen format is an excellerated version of this, where they all say kind of awful things, but the joke is the absurdity of these 19th cent upper class double standards of being polite but having the most vile politics and personal customs, and not for example the women they would make sexist jokes about
I also do want to comment here and say that when Spencer is talking about the Angela and Amanda Resident Evil video and "showing girls a video game" is really cool for me because of that brother aspect. Spencer and Shayne (and Trevor and everyone) make it feel so non-toxic to be able to learn about and enjoy video games. When I was growing up, it was such a boys-only thing so much of the time, and it made it not fun to learn about or enjoy video games, but smosh games has made it fun again for me to like video games.
Definitely, I had to have a more masc presenting name in videogames so I didn't get bullied lol I got so used to playing alone that when my friends or brother asks me to play with them I don't know how to act lol
I had the same experience, I have only brothers. When it was just my older brother and I, I would be so interested in video games but my brother would never let me touch them and say that it’s “not for girls”. So I legit grew up thinking I shouldn’t touch or like games unless my brothers said that it was cool to do so. Same thing with wrestling, we are a WWE/sports entertainment family and I was interested in it as a kid and again, my older brother would say it was just a boy thing. It wasn’t until recently where I’m learning how to play video games and watching pro wrestling more. I sucked at playing games but I learned what I liked and disliked about games and what games I gravitated more towards because of the let’s play TH-cam era and those guys wouldn’t flat out tell me that I couldn’t watch, like, or play these games lol
Reading this comment really just made things click-I love watching letsplays on TH-cam and I think it's because I used to wake up Saturday mornings to watch my brother play videogames for fun. A good games channel brings back some of those nostalgic feelings for me.
20:27 "It's kinda hard to fail when you're surrounded by those people.." that, to me says so much about the vibes at smosh. Like they all seem to genuinley care about each other.. it just warms my heart!
we as fans also don't necessarily expect yall to one up each video when it becomes super popular from it's comedic moments. we just go in to find comfort and watch you guys bond with each other.
Yesss. When I'm on my computer playing a game, I've been having the smosh games Playlists on simultaneously. Just vibing with them vibing with each other.
it's silly but the "bottled screams vs bottled laughter" analogy really is the way it's gone and I'm so happy it has. I was an OG fan, and now coming back it's like seeing my brothers and their family truly happy doing what they love-and THRIVING.
I like that he doesn’t fall into the “humble” trap. There’s a difference between being humble and being self-deprecating in a way that’s unnecessary and honestly a bit of a (compassionate) eye-roll. I think it’s more courageous and authentic to be self-assured than it is to put yourself down all the time. And people can tell the difference between that and an ego, at least people whose opinions you ought to value
I agreed until the "at least people whose opinions you ought to value." It sounds like the "people you ought to value" will always see it as confidence when to me, those people should be also be able to see when it's arrogance and let you know (instead of being yes men.) But otherwise I agree, the line between humility and self-deprecation can be thin
Sooo true. When Anthony praises him for his unique talent for saying “f*cked up shit with a straight face” he answers with, “Yeah, that feels like a skill of mine.” Something about that response was so refreshing. He doesn’t come off as bragging or attach any kind of emotion to it, but he also doesn’t deny it or deflect for fear of looking cocky. It’s so taboo to be self-assured nowadays, I love the way he can talk about his own skills in a matter-of-fact way.
3:42 this reminded me of that one video where they were playing poker dressed as random characters and shayne (dressed as Thing 1) just turns and goes "we are at work right now"
well - the interview king could only go for so long. Anthony had his shining time at 2019-2021. Now that he interviewed basically every interesting underrated groups/phenomena, he's doing the best thing going for him - "interviewing" those he knows best - the employees at Smosh and Pressalike (obviously Smosh rn since Smosh is better known overall).
spencer solo edited like 20+ videos a week, noone can tell anyone, he does not do a great job! He is probably one of the most loyal and hardest workers on smosh! He did his job past any era, he deserves it!
I know it's very unlikely but "I Spent a Day With OG Smosh Games Members" would be awesome. Joven, Lasercorn, Sohinki, Mari. Things must've been so different back then and they'd have such interesting things to share for sure.
Especially now with OGSOG coming to an end (I think that's what's going on?), def agree to this one. I really would love to learn more about the Defy days from those perspectives, and Anthony would be a good person to have some of those convos. I miss Flick & Wes's energy so, SO much.
I genuinely love the company model that Smosh, Dropout, et. al. seem to be setting up for new media. I'd love to see it extend beyond entertainment as the norm rather than the exception. This is such a magnificent way to run a company; from top down, supporting each other and lifting up everyone's strengths and talents. You all are a shining light in an uncertain industry and chaotic job market.
I just spent 5 minutes trying not to die laughing as my kitten watched this on my phone with the most concentration as if he was super involved in their convo.
What I love about SMOSH is the same thing I love about FRIENDS. It feels like I'm hanging out with my friends and just having fun. Smosh has been my "friend's house". Their chaos and authenticity is soooooo addictinggggg
Yes exactly this. On days when I can’t bring myself to be around anybody, I can just turn on smosh and have the feeling of being around friends. I always end up feeling happier by the end of a video.
Also - just to note - Spencer's been there since 2014. back then he only edited videos, but he persevered through the bs of defy, the layoffs and the bloody shutdown. compared to a lot of the crew, he does deserve to be where he's at.
YES, THE FACT THAT IF THEYRE ALL LAUGHING IT’S A GREAT VIDEO!! As a viewer, it’s always a good time knowing that the people in the video I’m watching is having fun themselves. it allows the audience to feel a connection with the cast, aka making inside jokes within the fandom, and it’s hilarious because it really is a big cousin hang out 🤷
The fact that Spencer's goal was to be a director seems to have informed his aesthetic. He's giving me Spielberg/Lucas/Kubrick vibes with the way he looks. His demeanor in front of the camera is just icing on the cake. Spencer, you're f'n awesome.
This year Smosh Games has truly blossomed into something so beautiful and warm, like Anthony said its like turning on a video and feeling like you have family and friends in the room. Thank you so much Spencer, Alex and the entire team at Smosh Games, We are so proud of you all and beyond grateful. Every video feels like a labour of so much love and that love translates to us, SO THANK YOU SO MUCH. And the way Anthony reaffirmed Spencer and Alex, I spent a day with Smosh Cast and Crew are truly some of my favourite things to watch.
Spencer is right on the money for why fans like myself enjoy the current iteration of Smosh. I just started watching the content earlier this year, and I really enjoy that the videos feel like the cast is just having fun making each other laugh rather than trying to be funny for the audience. Everyone's strengths and personalities just work so well together. 2025 is gonna be a good year!
great explanation of the "aspirational" vibe for Smosh - as someone who is separated from lots of my friends and finding it hard, post-covid, to make new connections that are light but meaningful, Smosh represents not just a space I would want to play in but the kind of person, and the kind of friend, that I want to be and to have in my life. thanks for bringing us shared enjoyment that is thoughtful without being navel-gazing, personal without being intrusive, and tender without being saccharine. 👍👍
7:59 throwing my two cents in, I think the reason everybody can see its non-serious is because how legitimately sincere he has shown himself to be about so many different things, and that the things he says are so absurd
That's one of the highest honours in life. People knowing that "you're not like that". I've experienced that I think twice. It meant even more because I struggle a lot with feeling misunderstood. So actually having someone understand what I'm about meant the world.
Spencer saying “everyone is so good at tee-ing eachother up” is so monumental. I’m currently in a band in Little Rock Arkansas, I manage a band in the same city. And being that kind of “team player” while playing with the team??? >>> That is a quote that will sit with me, because it came from a very safe and trusted artist. Thank you, Spencer. Truly, a gem. In so many ways.
25:36 considering i've gotten many board games they've played on the channel (hues and clues was a hit this christmas!!-cannot wait to play moose master) i think they're rlly accomplishing this goal :) i aspire to have a friend group like smosh games
Spencer honestly has such a unique sense of humor, he is an incredible addition on camera. He fills in a comedy niche that is totally unique to him, and plays off the rest of the cast so well
I love that we got an interview with Spencer!! On Smosh Games he seems way more animated, and seeing his more chill side is very cool. He seems like the kind of guy that would be so insightful, chill, and welcoming to everybody. It's awesome to know that he leads the Games channel in such a caring and intentional way for everyone there and for us (the audience), too! Spencer seems like a great guy.
I legitimately was not interested in Smosh content in the slightest for over a decade and subscribed only shortly before Anthony came back. Defy owning Smosh before and not respecting the audience really showed throughout the years and I simply wasn't connecting with that approach. Now, when Smosh is fully independent, the authenticity of the cast REALLY shines. Constantly trying to recapture lightning in a bottle never works. But what Smosh is doing now generates new lightning with every single upload. It truly feels like the golden era. Ps. I'm a subscriber of Anthony's channel basically since the beginning - not because I'm a superfan, but because when he left Smosh, his mature take on making videos and the connection he cultivated with his guests was genuinely the content I could get behind.
Spencer's monsters inc analogy is top tier 😂 Also I'm so happy to be a fan during this era of smosh. I am legitimately excited for the 'big plans' this coming year. Thank you Anthony, thank you Spencer
13:20 this goes to show that as fans we should not judge people so harshly and immediately when we watch them on a screen. At the end of the day, they are real people and we don’t know them, so for the fact that they are putting themselves out there for our viewing pleasure we should give them the grace of lack of judgement.
this honestly does feel like i woke up to a fantastic christmas gift 🥹 like i understand that i probably will never actually KNOW them and be friends with them (esp this being a spencer focused episode) but learning more about them and just being around their energy is so relaxing and safe. & hearing what their work/online presence means to them helps too! like to know their expectations/boundaries
My favorite thing about current Smosh is how happy and fullfilled everyone seems to be. They all seem to be growing and exploring new things with the support of the company and you can tell in how creative and amazing the content has been lately that they actually are happy with their job.
What I love about smosh is that they found themselves in reality whereas most youtube channels would change their content rather than adapt. Its a huge factor in smosh making a huge comeback
When the cast is giggling and having fun, it almost doesn't matter what game they'rre playing for me. Also, maybe it's just because I'm a mom, but I worry about Spencer's caffeine intake a little bit. I'm sure he knows what's best for himself though.
I think what’s kept me coming back to Smosh games & Smosh in general is authentic friendships built within the team. From editors to directors & on screen staff you can see & feel the how close everyone is. Can’t wait for the new year & new adventures y’all are going to throw our way.
It took me sometime to realise my first Spencer video was a Clevver TV video with Ryland Adams. Yes, that Ryland, the one who is now married to Shane Dawson.
@@GSP96 Just like how my shock realising that Shayne appeared in an iCarly episode, an episode which I remember. While I don't remember his character's name, I do remember a preppy-looking schoolboy. It is even more shocking because the very first Smosh video I watched that featured Shayne ...... was that Snapchat sketch video. You know, the one where he appeared in his underwear. 😅 If it was a different Smosh video, I would be less shocked.
As a relative newbie to the Smosh universe, Smosh Games was the last channel I explored. I'm not much of a gamer in any sense, but I am thoroughly entertained by Smosh Games videos. I can't wait to see what's coming in the future!
Same! I avoided the channel for a while cause I just figured it wouldn’t feel relevant to me (and I admittedly still don’t engage much with the more video game-specific videos), but it has honestly become one of my favorite Smosh channels! Especially after the latest Dread series 🤯
@@tiktaktictac It's a term used in competitive games to refer to how people play the game currently. For example, if a character suddenly gets super strong and everyone starts using it, that character is the meta. It can also refer to techniques or strategies, like Spencer does for hitting his sisters
@@tiktaktictac meta used like this is referring to gaming. Specifically the meta-game. the meta-game within in a game is dependent on various factors. for example, in a game like overwatch theres tierlists of the characters based on their performance "In the meta". Then that brings in terms like "nerf" or "buff". Nerfing something is essentially weakening something. Metas aren't defined by game developers, but by players. So if in a game there was 10 characters, but over time players slowly find out that characters 4-8 are insanely good. Then that means characters 4-8 throught out the games player base are playing them and a bunch of data is collected to produce the "meta". Its win rates, pick rates, ease of use, etc. if you play any call of duty, that games meta is defined by the guns and perks, sometimes even the operator you use (character model) can have an impact on competitive performance. So when he uses it about hitting his sisters, he is saying that it was just the most common outcome or methodology of executing harassing and fighting with his sisters was hitting. but its not as one to one or that anal about it being a collection of data 🤓🤓🤓 hes more so saying that wasj ust the most common thing that happened. Phyiscal sports kind of have metas. Like height in basketball. Anatomy based pros and cons related to like physical measurements. In the olympics there are banned shoes for running sports because they like fuck up the "meta" and are assisting runners to much. Some shoes give you about a half inch of boost in stride distance bla bla. I hope this helps.
@@tiktaktictac Meta is an acronym mostly in gaming for Most Effective Tactic Available. It basically means "this is the way to get the best result in the game" So he's basically saying that fighting his sisters was the way lots of people were back then
This felt like an employee review a lil bit towards the end. Spencer is great and being so upfront and public about his journey and performance on the Games channel speaks volumes to his work ethic and drive.
love love love this video. smosh games really used to be a channel i did not care much for in the smosh family but now it's one of my, if not THE favorite channel. spencer I adore you and you're among the best people that ever happened to smosh and I'm really glad we get to see it more and more directly ❤
I have been a Smosh fan for 6 years, and I will say I have always felt the “aspirational” feeling towards friendship from Smosh. I didn’t have good friends when I became a Smosh fan, which morphed into having no friends, and throughout that time, I relied on the comradery I saw between cast members in Smosh Games videos to pick me up and help me understand that I have a chance to find good friends and good relationships in my future. And in this new era of Smosh, specifically the “post punishment era” (thank god), Smosh has really become a role model group on the internet that unabashedly promotes the idea that everyone deserves good, supportive friends that they can be safe with. Smosh was a contributing factor in helping me understand that I deserve friendships like that (and to not settle for less). I started watching Smosh for the comedy, and I stayed for the friendship.
Before a year ago, I would've never watched a Smosh video. Now I'm subscribed to most of the Smosh channels. The variety is awesome. I've been on TH-cam since the beginning and Smosh's humor wasn't my kind of humor, so while I was aware of Smosh for over a decade, I didn't watch their stuff. I started to watch "I spent a day with.." during the pandemic, knowing who Anthony was and it was awesome, then I remember hearing mythical bought Smosh after Defy died on the Philip DeFranco show, and then when Ian was on "I spent a day with..." And it was announced Ian and Anthony were getting back together, I started watching the Smosh channels and loved the content from TNTL to Reddit Stories to Smosh Mouth, to a lot of the table top games they played. Idk it just seemed better than the really weird and chaotic nature of the old content and it drew me in.
I’m a Spencer girlie ❤❤ he just really calls to what I find interesting online. Similar to someone I would choose to spend time with in real life, like a friend. That’s his appeal. He manages to do that to almost everyone, I feel. He’s done amazing things with the Games channel and wow I’m excited hearing about yall having big plans!!
I feel like this video was like the best kind of performance appraisal for Spencer lol. But honestly, the Games channel is one of the things I look forward to the most and also rewatch constantly. I definitely feel what Spencer was saying where the best videos have been the ones where they are just trying to have the most fun. You can see the change over previous eras where it’s all about numbers and what performs better, this era just seems so much more authentic. It’s probably why I enjoy it the most, it’s truly about laughs and friendships. I think this current cast lineup is also helping that though too because they all are just so good together and just bounce of each other so well!
I totally agree that Spencer is so good at letting the audience feel like they know him yet sharing so little about his past and life outside smosh. I just realized how little I actually know about Spencer. I don't even know how old he is yet he feels like a friend who I've known for so long. A really tricky thing to achieve but he does it so easily.
I think something big I've noticed in the past year, across all channels, is how much fun the crew is having while the videos are being filmed. It used to be that you'd occasionally hear Shayne or another cast member laugh, if they were watching a vid be filmed, but it's rare that a video these days doesn't have the sounds of crew laughter in the background. It really shows how much fun everyone is having, and as a viewer, having that extra layer, it just adds so much.
I freakin love Spencer and everything that him and the crew have accomplished at Smosh Games. Literally my favorite Smosh channel because it always feels like I have someone that I'm hanging out with. They've definitely achieved the "aspirational" tone that they were going for. Cant wait for more
For real though, anytime I’ve recently asked someone if they watch smosh they’re all replied so enthusiastically and then we’ve spent the next 1+ talking about smosh. That’s the kind of thing you guys have going and I love it
i’ve always loved spencer especially once i figured out his type of humor and could really tell when he was messing around but this made me love him even more. there’s something weirdly addicting about a man who looks and acts like he doesn’t care but actually cares so deeply. you can see it in the way he pays so much attention to others and that plays out in his comedy that relates to the rest of the cast. he cares so much and doesn’t want others to be hurt by his words or actions but his humor would make you think otherwise bc it’s so dry. i love that so much and i hope spencer knows how much he’s loved by the audience.
I’m so glad we got this one ❤ Spencer is definitely one of my favs, it’s just so commendable (idk if that’s the right word to use) how he is just so naturally funny and real and brings s much to Smosh and the games channel - I think a big part of the reason why Smosh is in its golden era (imo) is because of Spencer and Alex and the games channel!
Genuinely really enjoy this guy and his work, vibe, etc. Wish we could chat over coffee about whatever. I bet it'd be a good time. Keep doing what you're doing Spencer. Cheers 🧃
this video was incredibly comforting and healing as someone who would love to take their career into the digital space, particularly for channels like smosh mythical try guys etc. thank you guys for talking about the things i wish i was able to ask someone around me.
This may be a little deep, but Smosh is the ONLY channel that doesn’t make me want to end my life. I genuinely want to thank you all for the authenticity and kindness that is put into the videos from Smosh. Obviously I only know what is shown to the viewer but the purity of that channel is something I value very highly. For years I’ve been struggling with mental health and the only thing that keeps me going most of the time is a Smosh video. 🖤
I really think one of the reasons Spencer has become so beloved by the Smosh community is that whenever he’s in a video you can tell everyone in the room finds him so funny. All these people who were hired as cast for their comedic chops, and this editor/director is the guy who makes them all laugh more than anyone.

I sucked at playing games but I learned what I liked and disliked about games and what games I gravitated more towards because of the let’s play TH-cam era and those guys wouldn’t flat out tell me that I couldn’t watch, like, or play these games lol
THIS
Reading this comment really just made things click-I love watching letsplays on TH-cam and I think it's because I used to wake up Saturday mornings to watch my brother play videogames for fun. A good games channel brings back some of those nostalgic feelings for me.
20:27 "It's kinda hard to fail when you're surrounded by those people.." that, to me says so much about the vibes at smosh. Like they all seem to genuinley care about each other.. it just warms my heart!
Having a mountain dew ad before this interview was too perfect.
What a way to *kickstart* the video.
we as fans also don't necessarily expect yall to one up each video when it becomes super popular from it's comedic moments. we just go in to find comfort and watch you guys bond with each other.
Yesss.
When I'm on my computer playing a game, I've been having the smosh games Playlists on simultaneously.
Just vibing with them vibing with each other.
This!!💖
Spencer is such a legend. What a great talk.
Honestly, shocked to see you here. But it’s great!
Dudeeeeeeee , sohinki, your time in Smosh is also dear to me
@ for real!! He is my favorite og smosh games member
it's silly but the "bottled screams vs bottled laughter" analogy really is the way it's gone and I'm so happy it has. I was an OG fan, and now coming back it's like seeing my brothers and their family truly happy doing what they love-and THRIVING.
Spencer screaming “MEAT LOAF??” Is what got me back into watching smosh entirely when it went viral 😭
DID SOMEBODY SAY MEATLOAF?!
I don't know. One is authentic, the other is probably a social distress
Yes! False modesty can be unappealing.
Spencer is undoubtedly my favorite cast member, I’m so glad that he got to be in the cast and not just edit
exactly!! please I love him sm
3:42 this reminded me of that one video where they were playing poker dressed as random characters and shayne (dressed as Thing 1) just turns and goes "we are at work right now"
Pretty smart of Anthony to use his performance review conversations as content for this channel!
well - the interview king could only go for so long.
Anthony had his shining time at 2019-2021. Now that he interviewed basically every interesting underrated groups/phenomena, he's doing the best thing going for him - "interviewing" those he knows best - the employees at Smosh and Pressalike (obviously Smosh rn since Smosh is better known overall).
lmaoo that’s pretty funny
spencer solo edited like 20+ videos a week, noone can tell anyone, he does not do a great job!
He is probably one of the most loyal and hardest workers on smosh! He did his job past any era, he deserves it!
this is where they quote Bailey
Poor punctuation made this comment into an accidental hate comment😂 but I agree, Spencer Rocks!
@@viktorlogibernharsson2040 really? well it is not my first language so... yeah!
I know it's very unlikely but "I Spent a Day With OG Smosh Games Members" would be awesome. Joven, Lasercorn, Sohinki, Mari. Things must've been so different back then and they'd have such interesting things to share for sure.
THIS ONE
Yes
Especially now with OGSOG coming to an end (I think that's what's going on?), def agree to this one. I really would love to learn more about the Defy days from those perspectives, and Anthony would be a good person to have some of those convos. I miss Flick & Wes's energy so, SO much.
OMG YESS AND I WISH HE WOULD SPEND A DAY WITH BOZE!!! i love her vids sm. i miss watching the old smosh ones with her.
YES
I genuinely love the company model that Smosh, Dropout, et. al. seem to be setting up for new media. I'd love to see it extend beyond entertainment as the norm rather than the exception. This is such a magnificent way to run a company; from top down, supporting each other and lifting up everyone's strengths and talents. You all are a shining light in an uncertain industry and chaotic job market.
A lot of people make "dog eat dog world" environments and they prove the question, what if we just stopped doing that? It's absolutely possible
THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT!!!
I just spent 5 minutes trying not to die laughing as my kitten watched this on my phone with the most concentration as if he was super involved in their convo.
Your cat has great taste!
Even cats love Spencer Agnew
me whenever Spencer is on screen if i'm being honest
We love Smosh here! The Chosen fur-ever 👍
What I love about SMOSH is the same thing I love about FRIENDS. It feels like I'm hanging out with my friends and just having fun. Smosh has been my "friend's house". Their chaos and authenticity is soooooo addictinggggg
this 👆
exactly what I struggle to explain to my bf about why smosh is my comfort channel cause I'm bashful about it
Yes exactly this.
NEW VIDEO? WITH SPENCER? ON CHRISTMAS?
this day can’t get better
!!!!
This episode is like the WNBA, but all dudes
Nah we love Spencer man! hes funny but sincere- the perfect combo for youtube
Spencer crushing his end of year review!
Then 5 cast members get hit by cars 🚗 🚗 🚗
great explanation of the "aspirational" vibe for Smosh - as someone who is separated from lots of my friends and finding it hard, post-covid, to make new connections that are light but meaningful, Smosh represents not just a space I would want to play in but the kind of person, and the kind of friend, that I want to be and to have in my life. thanks for bringing us shared enjoyment that is thoughtful without being navel-gazing, personal without being intrusive, and tender without being saccharine. 👍👍
yes!!!!!
0:38 It really is, Spencer. Thank you Anthony for this Christmas gift
*Spencers Gifts
FTFY
7:59 throwing my two cents in, I think the reason everybody can see its non-serious is because how legitimately sincere he has shown himself to be about so many different things, and that the things he says are so absurd
Cents
@Ch-gq2kp omfg you're so right, I didn't even notice my mistake lol. Thanks!!
That's one of the highest honours in life. People knowing that "you're not like that". I've experienced that I think twice. It meant even more because I struggle a lot with feeling misunderstood. So actually having someone understand what I'm about meant the world.
All this made me do was realize how much more I love and adore Spencer Agnew
HELL YEAH!
Spencer's monsters inc analogy is top tier 😂
Also I'm so happy to be a fan during this era of smosh. I am legitimately excited for the 'big plans' this coming year. Thank you Anthony, thank you Spencer
We get the sweetheart of Smosh on Christmas???? A true Christmas gift. 🎁 ❤
Best Christmas present EVER! Thank you Anthony and Spencer!!
I second that!
25:04 I love the Angela Amanda and Spencer let’s plays would be cool to see more games!
0:38 I literally just woke up and saw this on my front page and thought “this is the best present ever” he knows me so well
13:20 this goes to show that as fans we should not judge people so harshly and immediately when we watch them on a screen. At the end of the day, they are real people and we don’t know them, so for the fact that they are putting themselves out there for our viewing pleasure we should give them the grace of lack of judgement.
this honestly does feel like i woke up to a fantastic christmas gift 🥹
like i understand that i probably will never actually KNOW them and be friends with them (esp this being a spencer focused episode) but learning more about them and just being around their energy is so relaxing and safe. & hearing what their work/online presence means to them helps too! like to know their expectations/boundaries
Ive never been more excited for an i spend a day with, love how Spencer sees thing and his approach to comedy, such a legend
My favorite thing about current Smosh is how happy and fullfilled everyone seems to be. They all seem to be growing and exploring new things with the support of the company and you can tell in how creative and amazing the content has been lately that they actually are happy with their job.
DID SOMEBODY SAY SPENCER AGNEW?
17:32 "I don't want to talk about them like they're toddlers"
Editor: Adds every video of Angela on Smosh Games.
i found out the other day that spencer used to be on CLEVVER TV (i used to watch it religiously) and never realised😭😭 insane fr
I found him soooo familiar and i had no idea where from, now i am starting to connect the dots
It took me sometime to realise my first Spencer video was a Clevver TV video with Ryland Adams.
Yes, that Ryland, the one who is now married to Shane Dawson.
SAME! i remember watching that video at like 15 bc i watched clevver daily
And now, a decade later, i see spencer again & loving it
@@daanachmad4032dayum the world is small huh
@@GSP96 Just like how my shock realising that Shayne appeared in an iCarly episode, an episode which I remember. While I don't remember his character's name, I do remember a preppy-looking schoolboy.
It is even more shocking because the very first Smosh video I watched that featured Shayne ...... was that Snapchat sketch video. You know, the one where he appeared in his underwear. 😅
If it was a different Smosh video, I would be less shocked.
Spencer is such a kind, well-spoken, and intelligent individual like we are so lucky to have him
1:29 That was the meta 💀💀💀
what does that mean? like "it's canon" or "it's the lore" or something?
It basically means "this is the way to get the best result in the game"
So he's basically saying that fighting his sisters was the way lots of people were back then
@@SkyRandir appreciate it 🙏
Spencer does have a lovely vibe. He seems totally non-malicious no matter what out of pocket thing he says. He just seems nice
This felt like an employee review a lil bit towards the end.
Spencer is great and being so upfront and public about his journey and performance on the Games channel speaks volumes to his work ethic and drive.
this was the best christmas present ever! i swear i fall in love with spencer more and more always.
Oh hey new Anthony vid- IS THAT THE CHOSEN???
Only og’s will know
love love love this video.
smosh games really used to be a channel i did not care much for in the smosh family but now it's one of my, if not THE favorite channel.
spencer I adore you and you're among the best people that ever happened to smosh and I'm really glad we get to see it more and more directly ❤
I absolutely love how much Anthony glazes his guests in the intro
He’s so well spoken. It’s nice to see him in a serious setting. Also proud of him for setting boundaries on keeping a private life.
Spencer voiced why I love smosh so much. Glad to see everyone having a great time.
Merry Christmas 🎉
SPENCER 🎉, now it’s truly Christmas.
Happy Holidays everyone 🎄🎁🎅🏻❄️
I feel like this video was like the best kind of performance appraisal for Spencer lol. But honestly, the Games channel is one of the things I look forward to the most and also rewatch constantly. I definitely feel what Spencer was saying where the best videos have been the ones where they are just trying to have the most fun. You can see the change over previous eras where it’s all about numbers and what performs better, this era just seems so much more authentic. It’s probably why I enjoy it the most, it’s truly about laughs and friendships. I think this current cast lineup is also helping that though too because they all are just so good together and just bounce of each other so well!
I love Spencer, thanks for having him on the show
Spencer deserves ALL his flowers and praise this man means everything to me
Best Christmas gift EVER!!!!
Spencer is so chill and the aspire goal makes so much sense. The games content has been my favorite lately
I LOVE SPENCER
“That was the meta” I’m laughing as the oldest sister 😭😂
Spencer graces my screen, my day is immediately made. Spencer is love ❤️
Cant wait for more
Spencer is one of my fave members of Smosh! He has brought so much quality and joy to the videos. I'm glad he decided to try being on camera :)
For real though, anytime I’ve recently asked someone if they watch smosh they’re all replied so enthusiastically and then we’ve spent the next 1+ talking about smosh. That’s the kind of thing you guys have going and I love it
It's really nice how much positive praise and acknowledgement to Spencer's work Anthony gave
I couldn't fathom Smosh's entire existence without Spencer. As a fan I absolutely love his style of comedy. He's so much more than an editor...
i’ve always loved spencer especially once i figured out his type of humor and could really tell when he was messing around but this made me love him even more. there’s something weirdly addicting about a man who looks and acts like he doesn’t care but actually cares so deeply. you can see it in the way he pays so much attention to others and that plays out in his comedy that relates to the rest of the cast. he cares so much and doesn’t want others to be hurt by his words or actions but his humor would make you think otherwise bc it’s so dry. i love that so much and i hope spencer knows how much he’s loved by the audience.
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate! Discovering Smosh in 2024 was amazing and I'm so glad I did 💜
Everyone really makes it feel like I'm just hanging out with them. The Vibes are immaculate!
3:07 Spencer in pink is hella cute
Really proud of him honestly, genuinely excited to see how he transforms the channel next year.
I really think one of the reasons Spencer has become so beloved by the Smosh community is that whenever he’s in a video you can tell everyone in the room finds him so funny. All these people who were hired as cast for their comedic chops, and this editor/director is the guy who makes them all laugh more than anyone.
