Did the Sammy Davis segment twice, the computer reader is annoying, words are mispronounced, the subtitles are mispelled, showed pictures of other people during segments; a pic of Bette Davis as Peg Entwhistle and Henry Fonda as Peter Lawford were especially annoying. This video gets a D at best.

If you are an actor working hard, often away from home or even out of the country making a film - and especially in the days before the internet made it easier to pay attention to your own money - you have to trust someone with your financial life.

Why when talking about Black Actors or singers do you always show pictures of someone other than who the story is about? For example you are showing pictures of Halley Berry when you are talking about Dorothy Dandrige. Halley played Dorothy in her life story that does not make her Dorothy. The human factor is so absent these days. WHY?

One thing you should have mentioned was that Lugosi was grossly underpaid for his acting. After the success of Dracula, the studio wanted him to play Frankenstein. Bela turned the role down after reading the script where his only lines were grunts, so the role went to Boris Karloff instead. The studio didn't like him turning down the roll and got even by under paying him from then on. I remember reading that in one movie where he starred with Karloff, he was paid $500.00 while Karloff got $5000.00 for his acting.

These stories are very sad. But they serve as a lesson to all of us, especially those who are famous celebrities who come into a lot of money, that everyone needs to get seriously educated on how to manage their personal finances.
After health and family, nothing is more important than making sure that your finances are properly managed, especially having them generate passive income so you’re making money while taking a nap or eating breakfast.
Passive income is a marvelous thing!!

Garland had 35 films to her name. She also released eight studio albums. Her many artistic contributions and merits of achievement put Judy Garland’s net worth at $20 million at the end of her life. This really is in stark contrast to the financial struggles she faced as she fought to thrive.

I only discovered Garfield when I became interested in film noir on YT. He was so handsome & an exceptional actor. The 1950s guilt by association blacklisting was cruel & ruined many lives & careers. Back then, media influencers like journalist Edward R. Murrow spoke out against anti-American government behavior instead of sanewashing it like they do nowadays. He'd be incredulous & incensed that an insurrectionist is the current president elect.

Jeez, the more I read about the maladies of these various entertainers it makes me glad that I don’t have any singing or acting talent.
The one thing that I am good at, however, is managing my personal finances. I have an MBA and worked in Finance and Accounting for my career (now retired). By educating myself on investing and living below my means and investing the difference I have built up a multiple 7 figure net worth in my senior years.
Properly managing their personal finances seems to be an unknown talent for many entertainers. There are exceptions, like the actor Fred MacMurray who died a very wealthy man through living modestly and conservatively managing and investing his earnings from his successful acting career.

What was the commonality here? The majority never made wise decisions. living moment to moment or providing for themselves once their heyday was over.

I googled Judy Garland’s net worth at the time of her death. She died when she was 47 years old and her net worth was…..
Garland had 35 films to her name. She also released eight studio albums. Her many artistic contributions and merits of achievement put Judy Garland’s net worth at $20 million at the end of her life. This really is in stark contrast to the financial struggles she faced as she fought to thrive.
