    This is a my home shop tool cart. It's not setup like a traditional mechanic cart, it's setup to be more like a workstation that houses a lot of my popular tools. The open bottom open area is a "flex zone" and great for holding whatever big and bulky stuff I'm working with.

    The Random WD40 And Basketball-Sized Tennis Ball In The Middle Of The Floor In The Background:

      LOL I was wondering if anyone was going to catch that, I didn't until I was editing. The WD40 I put right by the door on the floor to make sure I used the WD40 on some rusty nuts before I was done for the day (wanted to do it last so I didn't have fumes in the garage while I worked).
      The big tennis ball...that's my dog's arch nemesis and we go "ballin" every day, weather permitting. I don't recommend storing balls or cans on the floor, just a temporary situation in between projects and ball time,

    Nice set-up, how well do those magnetic pads on your lid work? I have a rough concrete floor and have tried magnetic rails that would often drop ratchets off of them while I wheeled my cart around, do you think those mats would hold a half inch drive ratchet if you wheeled it across some rough pavement?

      They are "strong" enough but they probably aren't the right design for a most ratchets. Here's why:
      The plate is very thin and only comes off the lid about 1/4 inch. This makes it hard for larger tools that aren't flat, aren't straight, and that have anything sticking off them. The head and handle of a ratchet tend to break those rules. I'd keep other items on the mag plate to free up room somewhere else for the ratchets.

    Nice setup, man. What's the height clearance on the bottom? I got a bead on one of these boxes and want to stick my little compressor on the bottom.

      I'll measure that out tomorrow morning when I'm back in the shop. One thing I know for sure is that the US GENERAL 4 drawer bottom opening is much larger than the US GENERAL 5 drawer bottom opening.

    This box was on a harbor freight survey and when I paid the shipping all of the sudden I was suckered into buying the keto plan and I checked my bank statement and no shipping was deducted, so I had to call my bank and my card was compromised.

      You likely bought this off a scam site and not harbor freight website if it was from a survey. Careful what you click on always double check.

    Is that a Tekton ratchet in the top? How do you like the comfort grip on it?

    • @TorqueAndTwisted
      @TorqueAndTwisted  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good eye! Yes it is Tekton, specifically the 3/8 Inch Drive x 18 Inch Comfort Grip Ratchet | SRH02118. It's also a slim/low-profile design (link in description).
      The comfort grip itself I think it essential on longer ratchets so when you're really pulling on it you've got more to hold onto instead of it digging into your palm at full force.
      I beat the snot out of this ratchet yesterday to reach and move a seized power steering bolt that was 15" deep into the engine bay and with very little clearance before the firewall gets in the way. I was putting all of my bean into pulling on this Tekton ratchet, enough so that I was fully convinced it would break the drive or bend the ratchet. Very impressed, it held up great and the bolt is now removed.

    What magnetic telescoping tool do you recommend?

      I like to have the little pen style that I show at the 1:58 mark - th-cam.com/video/_IBvfPsQzjw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SMB9OzafdEeWIpXW&t=118
      I also really like having my new 25 foot magnetic Milwaukee measuring tape that I got specifically for using as a pickup tool.
