Absolutely marvellous all this tribute for William Bennett. one of six greatest flutists of the XX century with Rampal, Galway, Baker, Nicolet Gazelloni. Wich cadenza was performed Lorna MCGhee in the andante .?

I was lucky enought to have Masterclasses with Wibb and Clifford in South Africa many years ago. I remember playing Haendel and Cooke. Wibb did not like my version of the Haendel , cannot remember the Sonata now 9 but one I know Wibb had recorded) however loved the Arnold Cooke Sonatina. Clifford offcourse accompanied faultlessly.

The Louis Drouet Home Sweet Home ( Theme) selected by Trevor Wye, does anyone know where that comes from? I cannot trace it to any of Drouet's works? Thanks for any info.

The piece Wibb played at the Convention was actually 'Variations on Home Sweet Home with an Introduction Variations and Polacca' by Charles Nicholson. The music is on IMSLP.
