    I think you have created something unique here Brian - a channel that flips between street and landscape, both of which you are so talented at. Very refreshing. It’s great for someone like me who can’t decide on one genre of photography!

    Another great video mate.
    Oh you're certainly inspiring me, so much so that I haven't done a lot of landscape photography for a while.
    The wife and I are heading down the coast to Murcia to visit her father, Don Carlos 😁 next week.
    I've never been to Murcia, so I'm definitely taking all my gear, but maybe not the tripod, but then again.... 😋😁. There will be having processions so plenty of colours and characters.
    Cheers mate 👍

    I lived in downtown Vancouver for a lot of my life. It’s cool seeing how it’s changed. Love the ladies in the green suits. They looked like they were really having a good time. Thanks Brian.

    thanks for such an interesting content! I'm living in New York which is an amazing place for street photography, but I'm willing to do more of a landscape. So for me It's such a relief that you show both of this types, because i feel like I have to choose 1 side, landscape or street! And it don't have to be like this!

      Being able to switch back & forward from street to landscape photography definitely has its advantages, as both genres share similarities in many ways.

    Great vid Bri. Love the walks around downtown Vancouver, lots of familiar street corners and stores. Generally lots going there, and really like your blend of video and photos, that make this very enjoyable to watch. Well done! Need to get there soon, and take some photos of the new Apple Store and watch the folks come and go. 😀

      @@BriBarnhamPhotography I’ll have to check it out, been on my radar for some time - a bit of a hike from VI. That whole area of downtown Van is brilliant for candid street shots. Enjoying your relaxed walkabouts.

    I really enjoy watching your street work! Well done! Nailed the yellow bus, and the lady with the bike rack- legs lining up, that was a treat! I've tried, but I just can't get over pointing a camera at someone. I've tried the rear screen and hold the camera at waist level, but again, I'm too self conscious. Do you actually use the EVF, or waist level? Do you ever get any 'angry' subjects? Cheers!

    • @BriBarnhamPhotography
      @BriBarnhamPhotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s great to hear you’ve given it a go 😊👍
      The main thing is to relax, the more you relax the less chance you’ll stand out to others. Using a longer focal length is a great place to start as you can be at the other side of the street photographing people. Always try not to make eye contact, remember candid shots often make for better images. With a lot of my images I’ve already found a composition I like, maybe due to the light in a particular area, or colour. Because I’m often there first and I’m just waiting for the right subject, people don’t realize I’m taking a shot of them. I always use the EVF, I only use the lcd if the shot I’m taking is too low down. Using the EVF helps you frame up shots properly, taking away the guess work, and also cutting out distractions around you.
      Hope this helps😊👍
      Glad you enjoyed the video.

    I was impressed with the bike stand and pedestrian image the first time I saw it in the last video...but now this week Brian you've pointed out the centralised wheel in the background as well...what shutter timing...as some would say the 'decisive moment', brilliant.
    Something that has crossed my mind on numerous occasions while watching you do the street photography, how do you get on with taking photographs of people in the street, in and around commercial property in respect to the law and possibly needing written permission or a concent/model release form?
    Interesting video once again Brian, keep safe and well.

      Great glad you enjoyed the video 😊👍
      As for taking images of people on the street I’ve a pretty relaxed approach, so never have any issues.
      As long as you’re photographing in or on the public domain that’s also ok. Laws vary everywhere, so it’s always good to find out what you can & can’t do regarding photography wherever you’re at.

    Do the "subjects" ever confront you having taken their photo or are you just too quick for them to notice? Do you ever approach them in any way? Great stuff by the way. Love flipping between landscape and street on your channel.

    • @BriBarnhamPhotography
      @BriBarnhamPhotography  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, glad you enjoy both genres I’m able to bring to my channel.
      I rarely if ever get confronted by people when I’m out doing street photography, the trick is not to make it too obvious & blend in the best you can with your surroundings. Sometimes I’ll strike up conversation with people if I find them interesting, then ask if they don’t mind if I take their photograph.
      Hope this helps.

    You managed to get some good shots, Bri. Do you ever shoot street photography with a 50mm lens? If so, what 50mm lens do you prefer?

      I use the 50mm from time to time, I have the Zeiss Loxia 50mm F/2.0 which i did a video on.
