    It was so nice to listen to such a beautiful organ. I miss the wonderful musicals and the music of the magnificent musicians in the orchestras. Max Steiner was so great with his orchestral work in movies like “ Now Voyager “. ❤❤❤

    I have been watching and re-watching this performance over the last 10 years. I am still in awe of the arrangement and the playing. I have the Paramount samples and love playing them but my efforts are well short of your excellent playing. Mike in Oz

    I just watched this video - for probably the 20th time - and it just humbled me. Such a beautiful song, on a magnificent (MAGNIFICENT) instrument, by a wonderful performer. I had just now the awe of having heard it the first time....perfection.

    Very observant!! It was his wonderful recording that first inspired me to put this arrangement together. It is by no means a copy of his, but he is certainly there at my shoulder giving me a nudge in the right direction.

    Bravissimo, Iain!!
    Very latin. I can feel the tango dancers floating around your inspiration, and the sea breeze of the South just whispering through your window.
    Synaesthesia of colours and scents in this instrument under your hands.
    Please, more!

    Absolutely Fantastic playing , I was a piano player for a few years and your videos have inspired me to switch over to Theatre organ with this set up I now have . (Not the 450 but the 332) . Many thanks for some great music Iain.

    Howard. It may well have been this one. I am only aware of two of these in the UK. David Williams has the other down south. I got mine from a chap near Sheffield about 20 years ago on a tip off from David Shepherd. It had spent a few years with Ron Curtis at Bolton before that. They are rather well built machines....and weigh an absolute ton!!

    Hi Howard. It is a 33E console from the mid 60s with good quality old style wooden keyboards, moving SAMs etc but now retrofitted with a modern MIDI system from midiboutique.com . All the original circuits are still intact and the MIDI has been designed to run off the original keying voltage of the Rodgers

    This tune has been around for ages, (I can remember it during the early days of World War ll,) but I have to say that this version on the organ you have just played, is the best I have heard yet, (George Wright notwithstanding, and NO disrespect,) but I think you did a fabulous job! You just got yourself another subscriber! thanks for entertaining us. Ed

    Great sound Ian Is that a Rogers Trio console,or have you a midi console set up?

    • @JRaymondT
      @JRaymondT 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Trio has only one row of stop tabs, so the model 33E as shown must be a larger Rodgers.

    • @WeslarWaven
      @WeslarWaven 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's midi, hooked up to hauptwerk, and the console is a Rodgers 33E

  • @Andy-lm2zp
    @Andy-lm2zp 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are you saying the sounds are midi and not from the organ you appear to be playing?

    • @imcg110
      @imcg110  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. The Rodgers console sends MIDI messages to my computer which is running Hauptwerk with the Paramount Organ Works P450 sample set. All the sounds you hear are generated by the computer software (and my fingers!)

    • @Andy-lm2zp
      @Andy-lm2zp 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@imcg110 Thanks for the reply, like I said the playing is superb and the sounds likewise, I guess the midi sounds are better than the original ones on the organ.

    • @paulanderson79
      @paulanderson79 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Andy-lm2zp The 'organ' in this case is only a console. It has no sound of it's own at all. Nor does the console of a real physical organ.
