    Wieder ein gottvolles Andante, Balsam für Geist und Körper. Solche Musik lässt den Menschen gesunden, es weitet sich spürbar das Gemüt. Warum ist heute Keiner mehr fähig solche Musik zu schreiben ? Einfache, klare, vollendete Melodie voll Gefühl und Harmonie.

      @@IsaacW. both kind of because I believe that you can learn anything at any age but if this person likes clarinets for there beautiful sound than playing one is not a good idea because getting a great tone on the clarinet is a pain. I have been playing for at least 5 years and I can hardly tell the difference form my 5th year and my 4th years tone. high notes are a pain to play in tune for me it is always flat and it I can't for the life of me make it sound good or have a light entry, the tone is highly dependent on the reed and it creates days where you sound awesome and day were you sound like crap. I will say that being able to nail a hard passage after days of practice is rewarding but if you just want a beautiful sound than listen to professional recordings.

    • @IsaacW.
      @IsaacW. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michaelshi1360 not all of that is true. I've been playing for 4 years and I agree with you about the reeds. I got really great advice from a friend the other day- play on bad reeds until they become good reeds. Try recording yourself more often when practicing. Also this step is not for everyone but consider switching to a different teacher. When I switched from my old teacher to the one I am currently with, my playing skyrocketed. A good teacher can make more of a difference then anyone would think.

    Wonderful to hear such a fine concerto, by a compose little known in America. If only this work got played in concert, instead of endless repetitions of Mozart.

      The problem is that Mozart’s music, especially his more famous works, is capable of capturing large audience; while that of a lesser known, more obscure composer, is likely to attract less of an audience. The sad truth is that there are literally thousands of neglected works by important composers that are not considered for performance by leading orchestras and ensembles due to lack of commercial interest...

      Good request. I think we could put the Mozart Concerto in a museum for awhile. Why don't we hear many fine concertos? Well, If the American public (specialists in mediocrity) has not heard a piece far too many times; they don't pay to attend the concert - that's why!

    • @stefanherrlinger797

      I would see Crusell more in the neighborhood of Franz Krommer. Both Crusell and Krommer living in a time when the art style began to change from the classical to the romantic era, first very slightly and then with a real rush. Anyway this is a true masterwork, showing elements of both eras.
