Jersey potatoes used to be delicious, the highlight of the potato year, but that's many many years ago. They have been no better than any other new potato for at least 3 decades.
I am guessing then that a Jersey Royal is a potato? I'm not a potato farmer. Here in the mountain the season is too short for most crops. We mostly have berries, tree fruit and whatever we can fit in the greenhouse.

I'm amazed that the little Ferguson tractor has enough torque to pull three furrows at just engine idle speed.

Sensible idea to keep planting the potatoes in a single layer . The sprouts are all integers ,but takes a lot of space
hard work did that in the 60's and 70's in the U.S.
