Jeepneys in Manila

Jeepneys sind alte Willys-Jeeps, die die US-Amerikaner nach ihrem Abzug von den Philippinen zurückgelassen haben und die zu Kleinbussen mit bis zu 14 Sitzplätzen umgebaut wurden. Jeepneys gelten als typisches philippinisches Verkehrsmittel.
Die heutigen Jeepneys werden professionell in philippinischen Werken hergestellt. Die Verzierungen werden heute u. a. durch Comicmotive ergänzt.
