Oh, I celebrate with and for Josh. We are redeemable, and our Heavenly Father waits and pleads that we just turn to him and ask for help. Accept the immeasurable gift of our Savior and desire to become a different person, a new creature in Christ. A person who knows and feels his eternal love. Josh, I am excited for you. Remain on that covenant path, my brother.
I've never struggled with drug addiction, but I had plenty of sins and weaknesses of my own. I too can testify that the love of Heavenly Father and Atonement of Jesus Christ has changed my life and desires.
I needed this today. So glad I saw it. I know when I have turned over my will to Him, He can change my heart, soften it, fill it with His love, help me humble myself...and make the needed changes. WHAT A SAVIOR WE HAVE!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m a mom of 6 boys and 1 girl. My oldest son has been addicted for over 20 years. I haven’t seen him for six years. I don’t know where he is and can only imagine what his life is like. I love him more than he comprehend. He was such a good son, and I know Satan tries to deceive those who are a challenge to him. I pray everyday that he can feel The Spirit and know he’s loved by his family and Our Heavenly Father.
This video really invited the Holy Ghost to my heart as I started my day! For once, I wasn't rushed at the start of my day, and I saw this notification for this video. The analogy about the four-year-old was especially touching to me!
Thank you for the reminder that we all fall off the scooter, and that we have a loving Heavenly Father who will pick us up and hold us. That gives me so much comfort in life.
I too am grateful for the countless times I have felt our Lord’s hand guiding me where to go, choose the right path, confort me in my falls, picking me up a d carrying me in my darkest hours, guiding me to help my kids, and most of all confirming to me He lives and He is there for me always.
This is a beautiful example of Step 1-3 of recovery: 1. We admitted we were powerless over...(Meth) - that our lives have become unmanageable. 2. Came to believe that a Power (Christ) greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. 3. Made a decision to turn our will and lives over to God as we understood Him. The 12 steps of recovery are a blueprint to applying the Atonement of Jesus Christ and knitting our hearts to God.
Thank you for sharing your struggle. We are so fortunate to know the reality of our Savior and daily feel his infinite love for us. What tender mercies He endlessly offers!
I loved hearing this experience - "I felt love - I felt light." The Savior can lift us, heal us, and strengthen us at any time. I am so thankful to have a Savior.
What a powerful story. I haven't struggled with drug addiction but have my own struggles and know that God loves us equally and is willing to help us if we put our lives in His hands.
This really touched me. I have felt the Lord's help in a similar way, and I know that there are so many that are struggling alone that don't realize there is a way out. I still struggle but I'm getting better, and I know the Lord is helping me every step of the way.
I am just beginning my process of repentance and I needed to hear this message and testimony today. Thank you Josh for your example and words on the atonement being available to ALL who seek with that broken heart.
So many times we think we are alone in problems or not worthy to pray or receive love from our Heavenly Father! And the power of Christ and His atonement is truly real! Heavenly Father is always there willing to take us with open arms, we just need to go as we are. Lay down our burdens, our shame, our hurt and hearts, and He will heal us...the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is the true Church and the church of Christ and i am so honoured to be a member of the true church ❤❤ May God bless you all!
Wow! I normally don't follow Church videos very closely, but I'm really glad I clicked on this one. I have a very similar experience and it's amazing how the Lord is capable of putting us back together when we're finally ready to let him.
God bless you and all your loved ones Brother. Thankyou so much for sharing your your experience with God with us. It blesses our life too and gives us faith and hope.
You are 100% right.I had a near death experience with cancer, gave my life to God after 40 years, I will never leave GOD again. thank you. you are a great man. peace
Wow, how did this come to me today? My youngest daughter, 35 is ON this path. I go to bed everynight wondering if SHE is turning to God for help, because I can't do it AND can only Pray for her!
Thanks for the video. God’s love will never stop for us because of a bad choice. He wants us to keep trying, and to do our best. I know he loves each and every one of his children and will pick us up if we fall. He views us as the amazing spiritual beings that we can become!
What a wonderful way to put it. Riding around on my scooter of life, & when I fall & scrape my knee, Heavenly Father is there to pick me up. He will hold me in His arms & say it's all right I'm here, no one will harm you. I love you. I have had many times when Father answered my prayers. He has blessed me & always kept me save. I love Him so much. I know He will not ever leave me. I will always remember I am a child of my Heavenly Father.
Brilliant presentation, thank you. I hear this man and understand him and thank him for his love for us that he shows by being willing to share this. My life is somewhat similar and to hear him say that the power of the atonement is real is so inspiring. Also to testify that our Saviour is there for us even when we fall is so amazing. In this extremely difficult time, to find someone who I do not know but who has been there is so incredible. Thank you.
The love the that our Heavenly Father and our Savior has for us is infinite and all we have to do is reach out to them in faith for what we truly need and we will receive.
❤ Thank you for sharing your truth. This takes alot of a person to share but it is personal stories like what you just spoke of that can touch & help so many people in the same position.
Thank you for sharing your experience Josh! I appreciate your reminder that comfort, love, light, and countless other good things await me after a fall. “Keep trying!” love it
I love this! Heavenly Father really is there for us, ready to help and run to us when we are in need. We just have to be willing to accept His help! He loves us infinitely.
I appreciate this man's testimony as I too have similar experiences that has changed my life. I commend and respect him to put himself out there, without shame, to allow the Savior to touch others through his experience and failures. Shame is an instrument of the devil to keep us all from humbly coming to Christ.
Thank you for sharing that story with me my circumstance is different but the need for prayer is in the same realm you really open my heart and my eyes thank you so much you are truly a sweet spirit and you are truly blessed by the hand of the Lord thank you again.
I love this video! I was just reading today in 2 Nephi 2:7 about how in order for the Atonement to be applied in our lives we must have a broken heart and a contrite spirit. Josh's experience is a testament to me that that is true! When he came to the Father with a broken heart and contrite spirit, He felt peace. I have felt that in my life as well. Thank you Josh for sharing your story.
Powerful and honest, thank you and Godspeed in your full return. I lost a dear friend to meth. I wish he would have had a similar outcome to his story.
Wonderful, brother! Thank you so very much for sharing this! Thank you for your strength and courage and testimony! So happy that you got help from your bishop and perhaps others?! And got on your knees in your closet and turned to Heavenly Father and received help from him! And you didn’t stop there and continued on, not wanting or needing to take any more drugs, and then keeping on the right path… thank you again, brother...
This is powerful and it blessed me this morning! As I started walking I did a search here on youtube for these words (which is how I got to this video; it was the second one I listened to): pain trials latter-day saints
Thank you so much! Those words that you received from the Savior, are the words I needed in my circumstance today. I need that change of heart to let go and let Him take control.
This is why I love and never question my self beeing part of the church and beeing one of heavenly father's children he has always helped me even on difficulties I know that he never left me cuz I had that feeling of never giving up and at the end the suffering and pain has disappeared people might say that your lucky or unlucky cuz they don't know the gospel luck isn't real something happened because of God and his son Jesus Christ im great full...
Thank you, Josh! for sharing your story you don't know how much hope your story brings to my heart... I struggle with addiction and sometimes I feel that there is no hope to change, but knowing about you is so hopeful to me. thank you
Of all the "sources of help" one thing is for sure, mankind is imperfect. We're trying. However, relying on Christ, that's a sure foundation. When we rely on it, we cannot fall. Nurture every good thing you do that follows Christ. Believe you will get stronger. Writing in my journal helps me recognize my personal growth, which really helps me love and appreciate myself more. Then I can share that love with others. I wish you the best on your journey!
"When I fall I know He's there for me." What a powerful statement. This hit me like a ton of bricks. I was just praying for Father to bless me with courage as I was watching this video. Father does love me, me a sinner. I make a commitment to go & sin no more. Then what do I do, I break that promise. He is always patient with me. He knows my heart. He does not condone my behaviour, He blesses me to change it. I am striving, line upon line. I thank my Father for His love for me, & His patience. I would have given up long ago, if it had not been for His encouragement.
I really praise you for that courage to repent and come to the Lord for help. He is alone could left you up and guide in the right path....... Take care my brother and my love to your family.....
How wonderful testimony, I have felt the same way when I fall or when my behavior isn't loving towards others, I just want to be like my Savior Jesus Christ...
Thank You. It is so powerful and such a strength to others when someone who has "been there" says it is possible to turn back to the path Christ shows us. Repentance is not about "paying back", it is about Turning Back or correcting your course, like Elder Uchdorf would remind us with a flight analogy. When we turn to Him, we are blessed with strength and light from him, one moment, one hour, one day at a time. Turn to Him and live.

I'm grateful for a Savior that never fails to pick me up, despite my constantly falling down.
The test of life is not to never fall down. The test is to keep getting back up and repenting. I am grateful too.
Thanks for appreciating this hopeful video. God bless you!
I hope he picks me up
He certainly hasn't yet
Im am scared.& feeling alone
He certainly allows a lot of suffering
