“When is your exam coming? Is it 2 weeks, 2 month?”
Me: 2 days :,)
Try two hours 😭
Me 20 hours.
My exam is in November but I want to prepare myself.....
3days🥲
Exactly exactly
0:57 - *Advanced information processing*
After reading the topic/chapter(ask questions)
1) How would I use this
2) When would I use this
3) Why would I use this
3:45- *Space repetition*
Keep revising the topic in regular interval of time, for example if you studied a topic today revise it in 5 or 8 hours or maybe the very next day than revise it again after 3 days and keep repeating this cycle .
5:38- *Pareto principle*
80% of outcome(grades) comes from 20% efforts
This 20% of efforts include
1) past paper analysis
2) summarizing lecture notes
6:49- *Feynman technique*
1)Rewrite the entire information you are reading in your own words
2) teach what you learned (teach like you teaching something to a person who has no knowledge of the topic).Try to simply the concepts to the greatest extent.
3) Observe the concept which you were able to explain well and the concept which you were not able to explain now go back to the book and try to understand the concepts again which you couldn't explain well
4) Repeat the above steps until you are able to explain it without opening the book
Edit:- Thank you for amazing comment down here

Just a tip- best way to study smart is to just try your hardest to understand the content meaning watching the lectures second by second and going back 5 seconds everytime you don't understand something until you understand every word that lecturer or teacher said. It's easier to do questions and everything else once you have understand the content. Just a tip
Do you ever watch these study tip videos, create a mental routine, plan it so well and start daydreaming yourself studying but never actually study, to the point you get exhausted from all that planning and daydreaming and then just say, "I'm too tired to study today, I'll start tomorrow", and the tomorrow never comes?? Because that is me. If there ever was a procrastination God, that would undoubtedly be me.
Relatable:/
Dammit, completely relatable!

My bro...😔
this is me, exactly how you described! I end up having no time to study. We have 3 months of summer holidays and I promise myself that i would study, but I never do. So I have to study everything the last week...

@@alishba5863 for sure, if you want to study you will motivated to study, the motivation is the key
well, the technique that worked for me is spaced repetition. the more u recall ,the easier it will be for u to remember.
3:42 I started off my unit acting on it, and soon enough I starting retaining immense information! I was introduced this technique on your channel, and Ali Abdaal's channel. I started using this and my result came where I topped the grade! Extremely helpful and thanks a lot for this :)
super helpful video! I will definitely be using all of the methods mentioned! and I have noticed that all of the successful students use these same methods.
Asking questions, spaced repetition, studying the most effective/relevant information first, and explaining the information to yourself or others.
Whoa!! Excellent content! I applied this methods of studying that you mention and I have seen an exponential improvement in my exams! Thanks for this! I appreciate it !!
if you need a motivation to study just have a big ego, if I fail this test I'm gonna look bad compared to other people that passed it
or just imagine your competitors thats studying hours and hours or maybe your friends " I'm better than them I can't fail this " the hardest part of studying for me personally is having the motivation to do so but by making it my necessity it helps me a lot
fun fact! I got accepted in my dream univ 🥰 in compsci major
this is such good advice for competitive people like me
Call me a sensitive baby being an empath but I can't do this to others that I know of, though I do agree having that mindset of going to a race course with other competitors fires me up with enough fuel to do my best. just not that I knew of. Its sounds like a jerk move even if I'm doing it consciously lol.
Same here, not that I say it out loud and be a jerk. I usually really dislike it when I'm left behind so at some point I just decided to get ahead instead
That's what I have been doing since primary school, but now I'm in high school and I cry myself to sleep every time I'm not the best at something... So no.
@@annabattaglia6357 yea i could agree to! It affects my mental health so much and cry wondering i could have done better today or others are doing much better then me.
Elon. Next week I'm starting college... I simply love your videos, I've been watching them for like; the last 5 days!!! Keep up the gr8 work mate!!!
had discovered this method, used to make massive notes before, now the only thing I write down is the questions that I can ask, the linking of the concepts is awesome
moreover, u get a complete realtime feedback of what you know and what you don't know, so u don't waste time learning things u already know, but u direct ur time to things u don't know.
I feel so proud , I've done all of these through my years of studying 🤣 and that's why when people ask me how you study it was hard to explain but here you go made it as a piece of cake. ♥️
The same here haha!!

Just to share my thoughts, on 0:55 Advanced Information Processing. I learned to do this early in my childhood, (being able to read books at the age of 2) it is a really effective technique. I discovered that it's easy to learn and retain new information when you know "why" and "how" does that information works. By bridging information from various sources (eg reading other books) and "figuring things out", learning becomes more "active" rather than "passive". So instead of just mindlessly memorizing new information, try to figure out "how does it work" or "why does it work". Ask questions during or after reading, then try to answer them by opening another related book or search on Google etc. Yes, it can be a pain in the ass (when you really have 0 background knowledge about it), but the returns are worth it. Then to "reinforce" that information into your brain, do the 6:48 Feynman technique (the funny thing is you might create a better understanding in the middle of an explanation).
PS: I'm a medical student (a lazy one), since our field requires a lot of information to be memorized, doing these 2 "lessens the burden of memorizing things". It really does save time and frees up your schedule to learn new things.
I watch a lot of these videos and yours really stands out. Great job!
Damn the artificial urgency or making a deadline on my own sounds like it's gonna be very useful. Really thanks for that!
Congratulations brother!. You are very smart. And full of language.

studying hard is: learning a subject 8 hours a day without making a break and then nothing gets into your brain.
styding smart is: learning a subject 4 hours a day with making breaks and everything gets into your brain.

I've been looking for this for a while . I didn't think that it may work for me , even though I really wanted to try it , but the procedure of how I am going to do it was invisible to me . You made it clear for me , Thank you so much .
The second technique doesn't have to be the exact pattern that looks stressful. Instead random reparation in 3-4 days are better.
