So...when i was a kid I literally did 50 chores for 1 dollar a piece until I saved enough for this game. This was by far my most cherished childhood SNES game.
Love that traditional japanese jazzy and creepy music. When fighting the Tengu's and Darma thing!?. This one of my snes favorites games ever, to bad konami stop bring the games until the N64 era. I remember I rented this, Rival turf and Super Adventure Island in the same weekend. The most time spended was this game.
This was honestly my favorite game on the SNES. I used to play it with my best friend. Were still friends to this day and we'll play it when he comes into town. We had to use a game genie to beat this game. This game gets hard as hell once you get past the 5th stage.
game had such great bosses, then in 2nd game onwards, which never released in u.s the snes goemon series, they 3 more sequels, mix boss fights between platform and giant impact, giant robot fights and that remained staple for all games to come! Seriously though, i wish release all damn games now.

The first boss is based on Okiku from Banchō Sarayashiki (The Dish Manor at Banchō).
I remember playing this at a daycare I went to, had no fucking clue what it was but man when I saw Goemon on a n64 box at Blockbuster I had to rent it
