The VR simulation looks like the Game Ready or Not! So much cool stuff there and some stuff would be cool to have as a normal person like the driving simulator
Police departments overlook the fact that EV motors and batteries get hot fast when driving quickly, meaning they cut power and lose a lot of range. This makes me doubt that EVs will be able to fulfill police duties when responding to code calls.
@@NickOFFDuty What we will end up seeing is "drive-on" charging solutions at agencies and maybe even in some spots out and about where an EV need only drive onto the spot and it will charge. An FHP Trooper sitting in a median, for example, could be charging the entire time running radar or doing paperwork or whatever. Buuuuut... back to "the upfront cost seems to far outweigh any perceived benefits" for successful EV deployment in agencies. Heck, Tesla couldn't get the Roadster to make a single lap of the nurburgring. ICE cars will remain the go-to for pursuits for a good long while, I think.
I saw a chase with a police Tesla vs. a Mustang. The Tesla held its own against the Mustang... until it ran out of battery and the officer had to hand off the chase to gas units so he could go find a charger.
I see a issue with the glass on the Tesla being pricey definitely for a aggressive apartment that has a lot of pursuits that could lead with broken glass with pit maneuvers and the bed of the truck is a little tall for being a functional bed
The driving controls have physical backups that are easy to reach. Plus a push bar is aftermarket. No police cars come with them. UPFIT will put one on when Setina or Proguard make a Cybertruck variant.
Hey Nick, my names Nic as well! Been watching you for years brother. I’m excited for the technology to come! I am starting my Criminal Justice course this January and once graduated I’ll be hired onto SJSO up here in North Florida. SJC has a hefty budget, so I KNOW we’ll get some of these cool ass gadgets and gear. What an awesome time to join the force! Stay safe brother, also… WHEN is your next RIDE ALONG MAN! Could you possibly try and do a ride along with SJSO or a northern Sheriffs Department?
Cool convention! This place is like Disneyland. 😃Lots of cool tech stuff. I like the robot dog. So if that guy who shot the robot dog 3 times does that mean it's an assault on an officer? I love that pursuit simulator and the AR simulator. I like the swat truck. I wonder how much horsepower it has? lol
We got body cameras recently I was hoping to see AI integration to help speed up report writing. Will help us get on the road faster after DUI’s. Cool tech overall.
Dang Nick been a minute bro thought you dropped off the ole tube there for a bit. Will be interesting to see how the Axon system helps with reports and if/when called into question in court how robust the reports will be under scrutiny, So many great systems out there including the system that warns you of other intersecting 1st responders on your route of travel, Don't know if I could trust the AI to run code will driving though.
It can outpace gas vehicles but not for long. I saw a video of a police Tesla chasing a Mustang. It was spent after a few minutes and the officer had to hand off the chase so he could go charge.
@@bwofficial1776 We don’t know how much charge that car had before the chase. As I said, the 0 to 60 output of EV’s has caused police departments to be unable to catch certain EV vehicles. Police departments have been converting some units to be EV for this reason. Not all of them… It’s like the bootlegger days, the police gotta learn to keep up with the criminals, who will always be trying to innovate.
I think everything was great except for the drone and cyber truck. I think AI is taking too much control or things, and we need to slow down. All this technology is making people lazy. For example, the drone will take the call of a suspicious person, and an officer won't have to go. I think call like that you should send a officer because it shows you want to keep the people safe with all you can. And a drone is saying that the call is not a big deal. I just think technology is getting to be too much. And don't get me wrong that I don't want the best for the officers because my dream career is law enforcement, and I am four years away, but I think some things are too much.
🤔What was the Most useful piece of tech to you????
All new Police Vlogs including Carroll County Part 3 coming soon.
The officer safety, and as much as I hate teslas that would be actually good for cops because of the door and windows and the other stuff.
I've loved the brake light integrations I've seen in FHP cruisers but that dual level one for light braking vs hard braking is pretty dope.
Please come to the Voorhees Police in NJ or the Haddon Heights Pd in NJ, and the New Jersey State police or NJ Transit police
The Cyber Truck is not my fav, my fav is the gas cars.
the drone with a siren is so cute
I love seeing this tech to help out officers stay safer out there
There is a lot of new stuff aimed at officer safety! This is how it should be!!!!!
FHP needs to slap some radars on those robot dogs.
We need some of them down here
That Cybertruck looks like it was BUILT to be a squad car. So sick!
I think is different… it’s growing on me look-wise. Its the electric part that doesn’t make a lot of sense in policing
the cybertruck is ugly asf
The VR simulation looks like the Game Ready or Not!

Very nice meeting you at IACP and I appreciate you featuring the Sentinel ARV. Great video as always .
Thanks, you too!
“The secret shots” told me all in need to know boyee! That’s my boy!! 😎
Wow! The cyber truck was incredible. 🚨🚓
Yes it was!
The police bird is insane
💯
The Drone is a great idea that if implicated correctly could prove usefull
Agreed!
The police state looking hella cool!
Cyberpunk 2077 tech night city
Another awesome NOD production!
More to come!
Cybertruck is SO safe that the tow hitch shears off👍

That makes a lot of sense Luke. I wonder if the tech ok EV for police-type vehicles will be enhanced?

That primarily due to regenerative braking, if disabled this is mitigated substantially.

a big issue I see with tesla is the touchscreen since it may be a issue in high tense high stress situations also no push bar
That makes a lot of sense

Awesome Bro !!!!
@NickOFFDuty I have some friends who are retired police chiefs and are now School Security Officers. And one of them went to the IACP
IACP is world class! I had a blast
Was code 3 there with any new products?
Let me check my notes
Hi nick I am the son of one of your old coworker at galls I have a nod squad coin from 2018

@@zerocool278 not true! TH-cam has been hiding me! Check out I just posted part 2 of Carroll County ride along!
Jamal is wild ngl😅
Christmas light police cars
AXON needs to invent a body cam with no mute or manual offswitch. That`ll stop corrupt cops....
The only time I can understand a off switch is if your taking a shit mid duty
Police getting a robocop before gta6
The Tesla guy saying that Tesla has made the safest vehicles is hilarious
Hey nick you probably don’t remember me but I asked you to do Arkansas state police it will be really sick if you would do that
I need to see how 2025 schedule will look like
26:50 I SAID SOMETHING LIKE THIS LIKE 5 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Benton in new York
I don’t like the Tesla truck I think it’s ugly just my opinion
Its not for everyone!
why are the emergency services getting electric cars and the fire department cant but them out like they do on normal cars
🙏✝️🇺🇸✝️🙏
I’ve heard that departments are trying to get into the EV space, because the EV can outpace gas powered vehicles…
Thats a huge reason as well
I just want my Crown Vic back…😞

When I hear police and cyber truck in the same sentence I gag like That's the most fucking stupid combination ever when it comes to a police vehicle
Hello nick you forget sound off signal and setina
@@omerozbek5242 I showed 10 outta 500 booths. Lol I missed a lot of people

I hate the cyber truck so much it looks sooo ugly I would hate it if I was a cop being forced to drive that ugly thing
