I am a huge fan of Chic Sparrow Traveler's Notebooks as well, and I prefer always the DeLuxe Version. Love the pockets.
Oh My Ali you are such a lucky girl to have all those planners but I for one do appreciate you presenting all the different styles that Chic Sparrow has to offer too. OMG, that’s a lot of TN! I’m jealous! They are all beautiful. I started with a planner perfect in an A5. I have two B6s. I’m getting a Galen Zippered folio. It’s being made right now in Turkey. I have not yet purchased anything from Chic Sparrow but.....soon.

I'm usually drawn to anyone who has used journals and planners, and has been writing for a long period of time. It's like those people have extra depth that makes me want to be their friend... And that's been one draw, but I'm convinced there's more since I had to stop and tell you this: I'm actually only 11 minutes into this video because I lost all composure at the "because it's a girl. See, I looked..." remark.

hey Ali! don't feel bad about selling the tranquility. (I'm the one who got to buy it.) I was using it for about two weeks and then my momma asked for it. she uses it every single day and carries it with her everywhere. it is now her only notebook and it makes her so so happy. so, Thank you!

Hey! Got a idea for you... i know you have a bunch of a6 covers, im using my a6 to put my bible in. I got a Holman kjv compact large print bible and it fits perfect. Great size to carry in your purse. And even thou the bible is small, the print is larger and easier to read then my larger bibles! 😁
I'm a classic girl too, but then I found out yesterday that Chic Sparrow is retiring all their classics except Creme. I am so bummed. I really wanted a Mr. Darcy in classic!

Hey Ms. Ali Brown! Thank you for this video! I could watch it over and over! Okay, I need some assistance. . .I have never been able to bond with the standard/narrow size. I seem to prefer the wide size for planning. I have thought about purchasing a smaller TN. I really like the look of the A6, but if I am not mistaken, it seems that when the A6 is opened up completely, it measures the same width of the standard/narrow (which I have not bonded with). Am I wrong? I think it is the narrowness of the page that I am just not adjusting to. I would love your input to help with my conundrum! Thanks!
Yes...it's about the same. But is it the width of the page or is it just the proportion you aren't liking? The A6 is shorter so it makes it more square when opened up. Hmmm...maybe you can make an A6 insert and see how you like it. That is what I did before I dove in. Not sure if that helped. Sorry!

I'm also Chic Sparrow fan. . At this moment only one does not sparks joy. The one that doesn't is a color I tried but did not love. I bought it, knowing that the color is not usually my favorite, but so many people were gaga over it, I thought it might work. But it doesn't, despite being a beautiful TN on its own.
Oh man! I bet it's the JOY color? Sorry you weren't happy with your colored TN. Jennifer makes such beautiful notebooks!
Great video, Ali! I have 3 Chic Sparrows and was considering the American Dream in Tranquility. What I really like about it from the pictures I've seen on Instagram is the "cloudlike" look. You mentioned that you sold the Tranquility...I wondered what it was about it that made you sell it? What did the patina end up looking like? I would love to get your impression of it before I buy it. Any additional feedback would be so helpful. :)

Hi ! I'm new here ! What size is the spiritual midori and the creme midori ? "Lovie"? I want to make sure I chose between those two sizes . Please help ! Also, where do you buy your inserts for both ?

I do not own a travelers notebook. I have 2 Filofax planners. I would like to buy one. Which size would you recommend if you could choose just one?
My favorite size has been a B6Slim for a good long while. I've been in it for over 6 months and use it for my journaling AND planning. Not sure if you have seen my setup video of it:

Hi! The last notebook you showed you said was a wide. Did you mean a wide standard size or an a5 size? I ask only because the inserts looked like a5 inserts. Thanks.
di's bento di's bento Chic Sparrow labels that notebook as a 'wide.' Opened, it's 12 inches long and 8.5 inches high. It's smaller than an A5. ☺️
Such an enabler! Love them! I just purchased my first travelers notebook from foxy fix and am loving it but really looking forward to getting one of Chic Sparrows maybe in one of those floppy supple leathers. what does she call her softer leathers? the mr. darcy is the more firm leathers right? my current size is a B6 approx. 7.5x5.5 and i love it but she doesnt make that size so ill prob get a wide. Think im a classic girl as well, havent used the card slots at all. ok bye!
Her most floppy leather is the Outlander leather. But the one I think I like that is supple but has a little substance to it is the Creme leather. Mr. Darcy is not as supple as the Creme but DOES soften up with use. My personal buttered rum is delicious about now. ;) Hope that helps!

Ali what size inserts do you use for the A6??? Will the personal size inserts fit the A6 planner? Help please!
I use just any 4x6 insert. I use lots of printables that I print off myself. Several etsy shops have the a6 size for their designs. Chic Sparrow has a little travel themed set out right now, I think. I THINK she is coming out with Tomoe River paper for that size as well. The personal sized inserts are too tall for the a6. You could cut them on the top. But they will also be a little bit skinnier too. Hope that helps! Thanks for watchin!

Lyric Smith I love the floppiness and softness of the leather. I also love the texture and the fact that the scratches don’t show as bad on this leather. I have the angel and it is aging beautifully.
Are the pockets in the pocket deluxe you own bothersome?
I never use them, but they don't bother me too much. I take that back. I do use the back secretarial pocket.

My sister just turned 21 and was doing this travelers notebook and she loves them and she watches your videos and got a few of these notebooks and loves them she wanted be to get into them but I am only 14 and my life consists of school and sleep but I love drawing I have been drawing sense I can remember I love designing and she got me one for my birthday and OMG I love them!! I just draw or sketch something into it but hers is so nice thanks so much Ali for bring me and my sister just that little bit more closer thanks again - Dayna❤️

What is the size difference of A6 vs personal? I am torn on which one to get as my planner.
The A6 is a little shorter and wider than the personal. So it's a little but chunkier....like me. hahah! ;)

it IS a creme brulee. But it is SO different than mine ... mine is very hard and stiff ... after seeing Ali's and Carie Harling's soft supple notebooks, it makes me think i received the wrong thing ... dramatically different in supple and soft vs hard and stiff .... I ordered it after I saw Carie's video about it ... but am definitely disappointed :-(
It's a narrow classic Creme in the color dark chocolate with no stitching and no pen loop. :)

hello! I'm fairly new to traveler's notebooks and planners and I have a question about availability. I'd be interested in a chic sparrow or foxy fix but when I go to the shops I don't see the styles, colors, etc I see on the you tube videos. Am I doing something wrong? I'm looking at the etsy shops. Are they sold somewhere else? Thanks for any information anyone can provide! Love your videos Ali, MyLifeMits and all the other great people in the planner community!
So often, Chic Sparrow is sold out of some of the summer colors or types of leather. Which notebook were you interested in? I have some retired leathers in my stash so that may be a reason you aren't seeing some. Like the Storyteller she doesn't have in her shop right now.

It doesn't. Which is good because when it does scratch, it gashes...not lightly marks. So there is a big gash as you can see on the front. Sad manatee.

WHAT IS LOVIE????? I watched this whole video trying to figure out what chic sparrow notebook she is and you didn't say it.
My Lovie is a narrow classic creme chocolate. Your 'Lovie' can be whatever notebook you love and adore and carry around with you everywhere. I have since moved out of my "Lovie" and am now in "Lovie Jr." Which is a B6Slim classic creme chocolate. I switch out notebook colors but B6Slim is my size now. Thanks for watching!
