I'm a huge Elvis fan like millions of others worldwide and his death is still unbelievable to this day. Such a presence, such a legend and such a great great singer. He may be gone from this life but he is entertaining all of Heaven now and still entertaining his legion of fans still living. His daughter has grown up to be a beautiful and talented young woman. Priscilla must be very proud of her, i'm certain Elvis watches her with extreme pride. Gracelands is beautiful but has anyone else noticed a certain similarity between it and Southfork Ranch from Dallas? I wonder if it's shape was based on Gracelands.

Yes, they do charge to tour the house but they use the funds to maintain the very old house and all the shuttle buses and employees. I’m sure that they make a good profit but Graceland wouldn’t still be time here if they didn’t charge to keep all this up.
I was there yesterday and really enjoyed all of it. The new museums across the street are wonderful. The Guest House Hotel is great as well. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and it’s beautiful.
There is no more room to sign the wall so people have started signing the sidewalk.
I enjoyed Elvis’s grave the most. Such a sense of peace reverence. People leave flowers and objects on his grave but they are removed daily. I pushed a tiny crystal angel way down in the dirt next to his gravestone cause I know it will stay there.
I went back to his grave the next morning after the tour and spent about 20 minutes all alone at his grave. They open the gates from 7:30 - 8:30 every morning at no charge so fans can pay their respects to him.
For about $65. you can tour the house and all the museums and walk through his planes. Across the street where the museums are, the have 4 restaurants and a lot of souvenir shops. Hope you get to go!

Thank you SpaGuy for giving so much into these videos. I had a dream one night that my friend and I came to Graceland, it was late. We came in at the back entrance , went inside everyone greeted us and we didn’t stay long, I really don’t know why we left, but we parked in the back. It was amazing to dream something like that out of no where. I told my friend he just smile. Sweet Elvis memories, loved his music and loved him.❤️🙏🇱🇷🇸🇻🐕🐕

You pulled it off! Great. Reading the comments, his home is open to the public twofold: to invite fans into his world where he lived and played, died and inevitably is buried; and also to keep monies generating for upkeep and copious amounts of profit for Lisa Marie.
I took the full tour in 2001 and again was there the following year for the 25th anniversary of his death. I agree it was a bit pricey and out if respect for Elvis, they will probably keep the upstairs private.
Kudos for capturing the tour! It brought back fond memories.

My Dream finally was realized! For my bday my son took me to visit Graceland w my g daughters and my gg son Kenton only 3 yrs old !
I’m sure he’ll remember this for life and he’ll probably go back when he’s older with his now family and remember old Grandma 👵 and her love for Elvis and the story will continue Kenton‘s kids might go back too a d talk about this Great Icon of the Rock and Roll 🎸 Era ! And I hope that the’ll remember me too ! Cuz I’ll never forget my girls or my baby 🍼 Kenton ! He gave me so much joy and made me laugh as well as my Eternal live Elvis 🕺 I’ll keep on loving 🥰 him through Eternity ! Maybe some day we’ll be happy together in this life or the next ! Because believe as of today Sunday 13/29/19. I know Elvis is Alive as Pastor Bob Joyce ! Elvis did not die on Aug. 16,1977 as everyone knows . He faked his death w big powers helping him ! Maybe by the time you read this every one knows that he’s alive at least for now 12/29/ 2019 ! And I’m praying that we both stay alive for many , many
More years to come by . I’m still alive too , my age as of now is 65 and I have visited Pastor Bob’s church in Benton Arkansas USA 🇺🇸 AND BELIEVE ME THAT IS ELVIS 🕺 ELEGANT , sophisticated , beautiful and handsome as ever ! Singing and preaching gospel to his congregation in House Hold of Faith church ⛪️ ( the new one that opened on 11/10/2019 I was there for the inauguration! I had the most beautiful , wonderful , Religious Experience !
    Eternal Love ❤️ 🙏❤️Ⓜ️🅰️🇲🇽🇺🇸🎸✈️⛪️🥰

It amazes me what that man accomplished in the short time he was in show business, and in life for that matter. How dd he ever get any sleep...lol. Although I've been a huge Elvis fan for over 40 years, I have to admit that from the pictures that I've seen inside of Graceland I thought he had very gaudy taste. I especially thought that the Jungle Room was way over the top. However, now that I've seen this video, I had to change my mind. As for the Jungle Room, I see now (in my opinion) that it's awesome, and looks like the coolest man cave I've seen. I'm actually thinking about doing something very similar to it at my cottage that I have in the woods, here up North. Green shag carpet and all (if I can find it).

One night at Graceland in 1976 when Elvis was bored and craving sandwiches, he rounded up his entourage/friends and flew to Denver to get grub from a favorite local restaurant called the Colorado Mine Company aboard his airplane just for "Fools Gold Loaf" sandwiches..King of the PB &J 's! Loaf is hollowed out and filled with an entire jar of peanut butter, one jar of blueberry jelly, and a pound of bacon. The owners of the restaurant met Elvis and crew with 22 Fools Gold sandwiches at a hanger at the Denver airport where everyone spent 3 hours eating the sandwiches with Perrier and champagne. The entire turnaround cost was $40,000

But if you knew you could make a million dollars a show in 1976 wouldn't you have fun with the money you were making, he died with 15 million in the bank. In 1977 that was considered A LOT of money. Just a quick question,, do you plan on having 15 million in your account when it's your time? If so, good on you. He was not "nearly broke", His family opened up the mansion because it cost 1 million dollars a year to keep up his house and grounds, and without him the money wasn't coming in, and selling it was out of the question because he was buried there along with his mother shortly after his death. Could you have sold then? Sorry if I seem to be defensive but I worked at Graceland for almost ten years and learned a lot about the man, know his family and am proud of it. He used to rent an amusement park in Memphis for a million dollars a night so that he could take his daughter and his friends to something normal, I know I would spend a nights pay to rent a whole amusement park for my family.

To think that if he had not passed when he did and was still here thru him how he could have been enjoying everything he owned thru him and with lisa and his grandkids of hers still and how politically different his impact may have still even had thru his on the United States! And when he loved his country he lived in even!

Did the same myself a couple of year's ago, who knows if you are taking videos or photo's lol.
I think the reason for not allowing video is because of copyright.
Various video clips and music being played in gracelands and the complex on the opposite side of the road.
I probably took about an hour of video altogether in and around the area.
Plus I think they let pros video for them so they can sell it to people, it's purely a money making idea.
I went v.i.p so could go in and out of Graceland as often as I wanted, not being quickly ushered through with everyone else

    What's that creaking noise?

    • @grbroussard
      @grbroussard  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The noise is the camera hitting the bottom of the iPad for the virtual tour and hand adjustments on the camera.

+Rosie Fuentes It was a challenge shooting video without the staff confiscating the camera. I watch the video with the volume all the way down.
