If anyone can do it, it would be you with your motto "if someone else can do it why can't i" but man sick car I've followed every single video ever since the start of the type R build and you are without a doubt doing stuff no other "car TH-camr" is doing. You're in you're own league man keep it up
You can use the metal part in the wiper blades to be able to pass the wires easily from the engine bay to the inside. Since it's flat it will go easily
Sometimes insread of using two sided tape, we will use velcro to mount stuff that might need to br removed. Its stong enough to hold my radar detector on my R1 @170+mph and its cleaner than wire ties
Prolly too late but there’s a 3d printed mount online that’s cheap that puts it in the stock location, mount the wb1 to the back of it route the plug and play box into the shifter cable area. Mine came out clean no cutting

Don't know why it was said that the 8 ecu is bad. When flash with tephramod, they are very capable. Obviously, a haltech is better, but the stock ecu isn't bad as stated.
Side note, I'd say get a pro fab hood dump setup on the Type R (if you must do a hood dump, which is highly ill-advised UGH). The current one is blasphemous, i.e. bummy!!!
I understand the thrill of a hood exit especially on a car like that. I think what would fit the whole feel of the build better would be a super clean fender exit. You could use a bypass valve that opens the fender exit for WOT and make the car more daily able and not have fumes in the cabin while cruising
@joemaggio6806 I'm not a fan of fender exits neither but yeah, a vavle system sounds legit! I never been a fan of anything other than an actual exhaust system for ANY type of setup. Hood and fender exits are just plain bummy and looks lazy imho. I've seen some cool exits in drag spec cars but still not a fan whatsoever!
@@rj5485 I totally get it. It takes a certain car to be able to rock anything but a plain old exhaust. Seems like the man has made up his mind on this setup though. Maybe he'll see this and go with the cutout/valve since he built that whole nice exhaust that's headed for the bin haha
Should I get the haltech 1500 or 2500 for my evo 8? I'm just trying to hit 500hp chillin. Also, what else should I order with it to make sure my tuner has everything to make my car run flawless?

They have base maps for the 8 and 9 already. He would just need to set up a few sensor settings which doesn’t take long to figure out.

Haltech CAN Gauge. I have one in my 9, and it's great. I replaced all my gauges, and I have it mounted in the ashtray with a DI Fab 3D-printed holder.

There's another rear crash bar that gives you more protection and more bracing on the lower part of the diffuser. I have it on my evo 8.
