STILL haven't got DCS but STILL watch these for the chalkboard and the knowledgeable and VERY svelte, "Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen. This is your Captain speaking..." tones!! Always a pleasure and always good with a cup of coffee!! 🙂
To manipulate the starter buttons you can also simply left click on the starter and right clicking on the boost coil, they've sorta emulated us having more than one finger here.
Do you plan on making one of these for IL-2 Great Battles, Mosquito? I find it a bear to taxi and get it rolling down the runway straight until it gets enough speed to make the rudder effective.
@@RequiemsACTL in my opinion, the chances of them correcting that behavior at this stage are relatively slim. Perhaps you might consider just biting the bullet, make the video anyway and mention in it that this behavior is wrong and might change in future game version.
@@Tommy544 When I release the DCS Mosquito video soon have a look and see how you go with that technique. If nothing is going to change I can do a quick and dirty video on an Il-2 Mosquito takeoff
DCS Mosquito is a bit too unstable in yaw especially with rudder input, but I prefer the FM overall compared to Il-2. Generally speaking the turning tendencies are modeled a bit too strongly in DCS warbirds and nowhere near enough in Il-2. The other big item is that the brakes in Il-2 are too weak as well compared to DCS.
@@RequiemsACTL first of all thx for the detailed answer i don't own battle of normandy and DCS mosqioto yet but i have all the other modules in il-2 and fw-190 a8 in DCS and i felt what you described here in fw-190 a8 as well DCS was a bit too much and il-2 was too little but i can not confirm for sure since i don't have a experience of flying the real thing yet BTW additional appreciation for all of your tutorial contents requiem it really helped me when i just got in to flight sim whithout even knowing what flaps or torque effect meant hahaha

You will probably be interested in watching videos I'll make for the 737 in MSFS then, but be warned there won't be a chalkboard for that one :P
@@RequiemsACTL Ha! Ha! MSFSers woulldn't understand there being a chalkboard anyway!!

Ah very cool, I always just used the keybinds for those two and didn't know any better!

The next video should help with it, but the Il-2 Mosquito turns the wrong way on takeoff (hence why no video for it yet).
Thank you for answering. I will keep checking for the video.

Video clear, well delivered and concise, however I can't successfully start because ground crew ignores my command to prime engines.
