- This covers a bit more of Crateria, as well as a lot of Brinstar. Before Brinstar, there's also an area in Crateria that I take a visit to.
This area contains a statue featuring all four of the main bosses of this game. If all of those bosses are beaten, the staute will unlock the path to Tourian, the last part of the game.
Of course, unless I did an insanely difficult TAS-like glitch, I can't go there, yet, so moving on...
Most of the part of Brinstar I go through mainly consists of either green or pink forests or jungles. It doesn't take me long to download its Map Data once I get here.
I mostly pick up more Missile powerups, here, as well as an Energy Tank, Super Missile, & Charge Beam.
At around 2/3 of this video in, I face a miniboss called the Spore Spawn. It mainly just drops spores on you. Dodge or shoot those spores for more energy and missiles while also dodging the spawn itself.
At times, it will open itself like a weird eye. That's its weakness. Shoot a missile at its opening.
Repeat this whole process until it eventually dies. The path beyond it will eventually lead Samus to getting her first Super Missile powerup.
Super Missiles are, for the most part, five times as strong as regular missles. They're needed to open green doors, as well as pink doors, which would usually take 5 regular Missiles.
The last part of this stage has Samus goign through a lower region of Brinstar. Everything is more pinkish and organic, here.
