    Thanks Dan! I was wondering how students without work experience can highlight measurable impact(as we can't represent in terms of $$ saved/generated) in their personal DS projects in the resume?

      Of course! Interviewers know that you wouldn't have relevant impacts unless you did internship. So, just specifying the project you completed should suffice. You can, however, add what the model performance was, and during the interview, explain how you build it and what was your learning experience.

    This was very helpful. Question, do students/recent graduate have to have a summary on their resumes? I hear debates on this.

    Thanks ALOT Dan!! Could you do Student Resume Reviews / Tips next?

      For students in general, I would focus on gathering experiences through any of the sources as mentioned here: th-cam.com/video/_HRMJF87pH8/w-d-xo.html

    great video. would columns pass through ATS with no issues? I've heard mixed opinions about it

      I would say this shouldn't be a major concern. There are a number of ways your application is detected. Sometimes the technical recruiter can find your resume manually by doing keyword searches. Personally, I've always had my resume with the column format, and never had any issue getting responses from FAANG companies.

    I dropped college. How should I write the education section or can I skip it?

    • @DataInterview

      That's certainly an edge-case. I will get back to you.

    These kind of resume framework rejected by ATS besides auto loader couldn't understand. Make single col instead.
    To show your actual skill and what your effort and knowledge did for a org you don't have to give a hypothetical number [as everyone know that might not correct] give the points which changes/optimization you have implemented to solve the issues or new application.

    Man this goes against all the standard stuff people working in tech say to use ATS friendly formatted resume using Latex, this whole video felt kinda weird to me.

      Yes, also it is very generic resume advice and not focused on data science at all

    For an experienced industry professional in field other than DS, should he place Education/Training first in the resume when looking for DS opportunities, since all the experiences are non-DS related?

    • @DataInterview
      @DataInterview  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No still place career experience above education/training. But have links on the side or bottom that shows certifications and data analysis projects you did.
