I know! I live in Ga. an even if the plant says full sun, I know better, cause around noon until around seven in the evening, the poor things look like they're dieing, and some do,even tho I water every morning and late evening. Trees and some shrubs do well in full sun here, along with heritage roses and the knockout roses, but you do have to water them also. Roses I water at ground level, to keep their leaves from burning. The water will get so hot, it almost cooks the leaves, plus it's humid an all roses are proned to mildew, so I try to keep them pruned where they get plenty of air flow. Her place is huge, I don't know how she does it. But she inspires me to keep adding more things in my yard, and my husband actually loves everything I have done. We're both retired, and he knows nothing about gardening, but he likes to sit on the patio and take it all in.
WOW! GORGEOUS plants Laura! Love, Love, Love that Ginger Wine ninebark. So beautiful. Also, may I say Kudos to Aaron on the lawn. That is one lush, green, thick, manicured carpet! Absolutely the envy of any lawn grower. Thank you so much for all you do. xo

Benjamin is such a sweet kid, I hope he inherits his Mammas love of gardening! I just planted the same butterfly bush, I’m thinking I better replant it, it’s probably too deep and I don’t want to lose it. I lost the last one I planted and I’m betting that’s why!

It really hit me how long I’ve been watching you guys as you raced Benjamin in the gator along the west side garden, both with the progress of the garden and Benjamin’s. Thank you for sharing your family and your gardening knowledge with us.

☕️Good morning! Beautiful Sun loving selections that fit perfectly into your landscape, Laura. It’s so fun to see what you choose and where you place them. So very interesting and inspirational. Enjoy a great day everyone! 🌸🌱💚

Hey Laura! I absolutely love your videos and you inspire me everyday to dream about my future garden and work towards something I love. Also, I have a suggestion @11:33 what about planting a willow tree? That way you will see the cut flower garden but it would be like through a secret veil?
Your placement of plants is always so spot on. When they start blooming your landscape is so beautiful. A favorite of mine in this video is the butterfly bush.
wow, look how much fun you're having - so many gorgeous plants, and everything starting to fill in... i couldn't help but just stare behind you at the views and perspectives of everything... maybe about time for a drone shot of everything, Aaron 🙂 oh, and hey to Ken and the music.. i was sittin' here beeboppin' along to the music while Laura was planting.. what a great way to start the day... i'm trying a japanese anemone this year - i've always thought we're too hot for them, but i have mine in a dappled shade area and so far, so good.. i hope it spreads, lol... but i agree: take a chance! plants can surprise you... love your hollyhock stand, too... isn't it great when pretty plants find your garden and decide to move in (at least sometimes, lol)... and of course, Benjamin, always a delight... 🙂 ❤ thanks for the video!! 🙂 ❤
So many plants in the background ready to be planted. Can't wait to see the spaces filled in. Boy would I love to walk through your garden Laura. Benjamin is so sweet.
Good morning everyone, I enjoy beginning my day with a cup of coffee and a dose of encouragement from one of your videos. Great way to start the day…love, love, love
Your place is looking good!! I can’t wait to see the pathways go in and plantings by the Hartly. Thanks for inspiring us to grow things we really never knew about!
Laura, you are making that desert blossom! I can't help but think you are creating a significantly cooler oasis than the area surrounding you! I love basking in the beauty of your videos! Thank you for all the inspiration you provide😊. Now I want to go plant some At Last roses and ginger wine nine bark to hide our utility boxes and allow for side walk pedestrians in our neighborhood to "stop and smell the roses".
Good Morning Laura and everyone! What gorgeous plants! I hunted down an Old Glory Lilac after one of your previous vids and this white selection looks gorgeous too! And I’m a huge fan of Ninebarks - my Tiny Wines just finished blooming and Summer Wine is filled with buds!! I inherited a VERY overgrown Butterfly Bush at our property, but you know what? It has gracefully arched over from being so overgrown, so the second story blooms are just the perfect height!! 🤣🦋 What an unexpected delight! I see Monarchs, Swallowtails and others and can usually get some great photos!!

Looks amazing. All of it. I have my Fall in Love sweetly anemone in full sun here in Southern MD zone 7b and they do great. I do water them on days we don't get natural rain or the irrigation isn't run, and they do beautifully. I love them. They bloom just when everything else is starting to poop out in that flower bed in late summer.
I like the color of the Ginger Wine Nine Bark. I am in zone 8A which is higher than it is zoned for unfortunately. But if I can located one I think I will give it a try here. It would be a beautiful screen Spring through Autumn. I need to research zone 8 plants for an evergreen screen to place behind the Nine Bark. Everyone Stay Safe and Have a Blessed Week.
I have an older butterfly bush that really never did too well, but this spring I moved it to a more sunny location and it is just taking off now, has such big blooms, so glad I moved it. I also just Sunday ordered a ninebark along with a few other sunny location shrubs, so I was happy to see this video. Thank you for sharing.

I had never heard of gold raspberries until I saw you plant them. My son loves raspberries so we planted them too and they are delicious!!! I have learned so much from you.
You know what I think would like AMAZING where you planted the nine bark- a “drift” of the Czechmark Trilogy weigela. That plant is so stunning in the spring! Plant it somewhere out there!!! 😁♥️
The South Garden is starting to really take shape! It has been so much fun to watch it develop and learn so much from you. I can only image how much I would learn from even just a week working with you. I would love the space to plant some of these beautiful bigger shrubs.
Good morning Laura. I just planted 2 "Little Devil" Ninebark that amazingly I found at Walmart...label says 3'x4' and I hope it stays true to form. Love the burgundy leaf color of these plants. Cheers.
Laura I hope you see this.I've been landscaping since I was ten.Yes ten.So now that I'm.64 I find I still learn a lot from you.Case in point my butterfly bush was awful the first 3 years.I listened to you moved mulch watered less.Omg Laura we stopped counting at 65 blooms amazing.
I did notice all the additional potted plants in the background my guess they're for the Harley area! I'm really looking forward to seeing that all happen❤️
🌿 Good morning Laura and family Great looking plants 🪴 love the South Garden it's going to be gorgeous when everything fills in and it reaches maturity 🐞 can't wait for a late Summer Tour yay, it seems like everytime I see the kids in the videos they have grown at least 1inch. 😀 Have a great rest of the day 🌼 👋
I have woods and shade. So very little sun and I use that for growing food. I am anxiously waiting for mom and dad's garden tour!!! Thank you again for a great video and info!
I Love the transformation.. it’s amazing what we can do we we put our minds to it. “Landscape Art”.. thanks for sharing your “canvas”. P.S. Benjamin is adorable 🥰
Laura, your garden is doing so well considering the horrible heatwave yall endured last year. I totally can understand your happiness this year. I live in Texas and it's our turn with the blow torch. We are breaking records and it's not going to change for the foreseeable future. Only a tropical storm will end the drought. Thanks for your videos, It gives me hope!
I have my Japanese anemone Old style in full sun and they do great. I also have my hellebore there and they also are great and spread. I’m going shopping for ninebarks and at last roses!
We have the same lilac, the Angel white one, and it's fantastic. It has long-lasting flowers unlike the other one and has such a strong but very nice fragrance.
Absolutely beautiful! Everything is waking up and filling inso nicely! Love the ninebarks. I have a couple of the PW summer wines and 3 different ones from Monrovia and they just add so much color, texture and beauty to any area. Butterfly bushes are also another low maintenance plant with huge beauty.

I fell in love with the "Ginger Wine" ninebark over a year and a half ago when you showed it and just had to have one. Since then, I have put in 5 varieties of them, they are amazing! I have some lupines right by the "Ginger Wine" that have deep rich, pink colored blooms and you would not believe how gorgeous the contrast is with the color of the "Ginger Wine"! Just a thought for something to plant around your 3 new "Ginger Wines." If you ever see an "Amber Jubilee" variety, I highly recommend that one. A "Fireside" is my most recent and I love it almost as much as the "Ginger."
Hi Laura ... I just love watching your channel.... It's part of my morning routine. I was wondering if you have any of your fountains working. Also .. you mentioned a flower show in Michigan and was wondering when that was.
I know, me too. I posted on garden answer groupies FB and you can still visit the island and see everything but the grand garden show tickets let’s you into private gardens etc. I guess before Covid you could get day passes but they didn’t do that this year. Maybe next year. 🤞

My husband calls them "TV show Wannabes" with introductions , theme music , and cutsie opening credits...it's a bit of a turn off.
Both of you are so right! I have to believe that’s one of the reasons that so many people are here. Also, her voice is so NOT ANNOYING lol!
Agreed, no need to skip forward.
Why we love them!!!

Wow, that South side is really coming together, with all the colour components to boot!! So nice!
wow, look how much fun you're having - so many gorgeous plants, and everything starting to fill in... i couldn't help but just stare behind you at the views and perspectives of everything... maybe about time for a drone shot of everything, Aaron 🙂 oh, and hey to Ken and the music.. i was sittin' here beeboppin' along to the music while Laura was planting.. what a great way to start the day... i'm trying a japanese anemone this year - i've always thought we're too hot for them, but i have mine in a dappled shade area and so far, so good.. i hope it spreads, lol... but i agree: take a chance! plants can surprise you... love your hollyhock stand, too... isn't it great when pretty plants find your garden and decide to move in (at least sometimes, lol)... and of course, Benjamin, always a delight... 🙂 ❤ thanks for the video!! 🙂 ❤
So many plants in the background ready to be planted. Can't wait to see the spaces filled in. Boy would I love to walk through your garden Laura. Benjamin is so sweet.
You are living the life. Much peace and love to you.
I think that totem pole grass would be gorgeous in that space. ❤️❤️❤️
Love how everything is coming together! Peaceful videos!
Good morning everyone, I enjoy beginning my day with a cup of coffee and a dose of encouragement from one of your videos. Great way to start the day…love, love, love
I can tell it’s really starting to fill in and look lush.
Your place is looking good!! I can’t wait to see the pathways go in and plantings by the Hartly. Thanks for inspiring us to grow things we really never knew about!
The south garden is filling up fast. Im so excited for next year. These plants will look even better. Just imagining how it will look after 5yrs!!?
I adore the arching form snd tiny foliage of Summer Wine Ninebark. Would look great in the far south area of the garden.

@@hairsprayartist I will see what I can find from last year and share to the fan Facebook group!! Will get some grabs this season for sure. 🙂
I would love to see how much growth you’ve gotten on the trees you planted in that area last year. Not sure if it’s been a whole year yet though. A before and after would be fun

My heart I'd full of love for Benjamin, he reminds me of my beautiful grandson who is six and full of life and wonderment of all things 🦖🦕💞🤗💫🌹
Thanks!
Everything is tucked in.
Excited to follow the anemone experiment for your climate/ full sun placement. Love those plants!!
You're place is so beautiful
Oh yes, you look great 👍
I have an older butterfly bush that really never did too well, but this spring I moved it to a more sunny location and it is just taking off now, has such big blooms, so glad I moved it.

Oh for your knowledge, space, & energy! All so perfect, as usual.
So beautiful with the layers and colour/texture choices. I’m learning a ton watching this South garden develop.
i love that you love your sort of wild area, i also love it, it's beautiful.
The South Garden is starting to really take shape! It has been so much fun to watch it develop and learn so much from you. I can only image how much I would learn from even just a week working with you. I would love the space to plant some of these beautiful bigger shrubs.
I learn so much by watching you. Thanks for the info on butterfly bush.
Good morning Laura. I just planted 2 "Little Devil" Ninebark that amazingly I found at Walmart...label says 3'x4' and I hope it stays true to form. Love the burgundy leaf color of these plants. Cheers.
Elliot Homestead said, "it takes 12 years for your garden to look like itself" that's good advice, and teaches me to just be patient. 😍
Wow, I wish I had wild hollyhock problem! That is the most gorgeous garden!
Love seeing the South Garden filling in. Gorgeous!
Laura, everything is so park-like and beautiful. Maybe you should put some seating areas among the flowers.
Those red and yellow bark cornus shrub varieties are great for winter color.
BEAUTIFUL! ALL OF IT! I just wanted to keep walking with you along the grass path at the end of the video!💚
I’m loving everything you are doing and your plant choices
🌿 Good morning Laura and family
Great looking plants 🪴 love the South Garden it's going to be gorgeous when everything fills in and it reaches maturity 🐞 can't wait for a late Summer Tour yay, it seems like everytime I see the kids in the videos they have grown at least 1inch. 😀 Have a great rest of the day 🌼 👋
I finally got my hands on 3 At Last roses, and OH MY!! I cannot wait to get them planted.
Laura you are amazing the things I’ve learnt watching your channel it’s great. Thank you darling. Lisa uk xx ❤️😘
Good Evening guys☺️🇵🇭
Absolutely beautiful! Everything is waking up and filling inso nicely! Love the ninebarks. I have a couple of the PW summer wines and 3 different ones from Monrovia and they just add so much color, texture and beauty to any area. Butterfly bushes are also another low maintenance plant with huge beauty.

Wow the garden looks amazing this year
The spot by the At Last roses is very much a cottage garden look.
Good morning, Laura ☕️ I need an Anemone or 3 in my life! They are gorgeous! 😍 Wow, does the dark mulch/compost make everything pop!🙌🏻 Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
what are you adding in the holes before adding plants
Wow it’s really filling in now looking great🌸🌺🌸
Great information on butterfly bushes. Your grass looks so healthy! Thank you
I always wonder what the heck your water bill would be. or how many well you must have. your gardens are gorgeous.
Since we've had 9 straight days of triple-digit temperatures I'm not planting anything, but the plants you put in are amazingly gorgeous. Love how you drift plants and coordinate colors.
Good morning from Delaware, have a great day GA friends.

Good morning! 🌻🐝
The grand garden show on macinack island, but it’s sold out already. 😭
@@joellentorola1201 Well shoot.... I would love to meet Laura and Aaron
I know, me too. I posted on garden answer groupies FB and you can still visit the island and see everything but the grand garden show tickets let’s you into private gardens etc. I guess before Covid you could get day passes but they didn’t do that this year. Maybe next year. 🤞
