gosh these songs hit different when u remember how he had lost himself around the time he had created this album and how toxic of a relationship it was for both him and Selena. i’m really happy he’s gotten to a healthy and happy place in his life where he’s able to sing about such struggles he faced. thank u so much for reacting to this 🥺 i had so much fun dancing along and appreciating some good vocals, band and energy. u can only imagine justin was revisiting memories whilst singing.

also Journals is an album that was not pushed by his record label, they did not want him to release it but he leaked it anyways because of how personal it was for him, which is why you don’t know any of the songs. 🌷 it’s on Spotify now though!!

his voice was changing around that time and it was really nasally back then but his vocals have improved so much since 2013 and make the songs sound 100000x bettered

been a belieber since he was posting covers on youtube under kidrauhl but i wasnt and stil am not a fan of journals for many reasons but mainly because selena was sooo toxic and while justin isnt innocent, i dont believe it was mentally good for him to set in stone this toxicity with a fuckin album. he was so deep into his drug binge and subsequent behavior it just wasnt good. i have a few songs i like off of it but to me, it wasnt a good album. like no one will agree with me lol but i will say the songs from journal sound 10000x better with his current voice.
