I always had a little trouble using the hose end sprayers. I did a flow test and found that I empty a 20 gallon hose end bottle in two 5 gallon buckets. I bel;eve that means I am spraying twice as much spray as I need. So I believe I need to cut the amount in the bottle by half. For me a 20 gallon bottle is a 10 gallon bottle?
I like to put the amount of Product in the bottle for 2k sq ft and fill the rest of the way with water. This has been very helpful for me in the past. Thanks for watching!
You need to advise why you don't recommend using these sprayers for herbicides. Also specifically why the Ortho sprayer didn't work for you. It works fine for all liquid chemicals for me.
Since hose end sprayers all spray out at different ratios, using herbicides in them is not recommended because you have no way to ensure even coverage of the herbicide. That is great that the Ortho Dial N Spray works well for you, I personally didn't have much luck with it and I found that the ones I use now work much better for me personally. I appreciate leaving a comment and watching!
Like you mentioned, be sure you are compatibility testing products in a small cup before mixing a bunch up just in case they react. I learned this the hard way 😂
Thanks for breaking this down, you make it much easier with the empty bottle so you can mix things
I think so too! Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching!
This is helpful, I like the idea of being able to mix things and spray them at the same time.
Glad it was helpful! Mixing up different products is a real time saver.
Great tips - I love to mix products in my hose end sprayers too
Thanks for watching!
Great Info! Don’t learn the hard way like a lot of us have.
Very true - been there, done that and wasted some product haha

Love it! I just saw these today and was wondering about them.
These work great and they are only $10 each - can't beat it for a reliable hose end sprayer
Great video! Thanks for this info!!
You bet!
